He could not answer basic questions of who he worked for, I asked are you a bill collector? an attorney? a sheriff? bondsman? etc. he was skating around all questions. He is Scammer of some sort.

Actually "Council" is a real last name. Brenda Council has been on the Omaha, Nebraska city council, the Omaha school board, and the Nebraska legislature.
NC's call is probably a scam, but the name of the caller isn't proof of that.

You're kidding right? Mr. Council? I hope no one falls for this; it's obviously a scam.

Same as above, except my caller is a guy named Mr. Spike. Sounds like a total shakedown for your PII data. If this was a legitimate legal matter, you'd be getting something in the mail, not a cold call. Call back only if you want to toy with them?do not think about providing them any of your information unless you want it stolen.

A man named Benjamin Long started leaving me a message stating this was documented and recorded that he possessed a legal notice. I answered and he said his name was Benjamin Long he stated his State ID #17815. I asked him did he work for the State? He replied no. He wanted me to verify my SSN number and I refused as he did have my name incorrect. He told me he could not talk to me if I did not verify my SSN. I told him that I did not know if this call was legitimate and I was not willing to give him my SSN or verify it over the phone. I suggested he mail me documents regarding the issue he was calling me about. He refused to. If this if a legitimate matter and they want to legitimately resolve it then they would not have a problem mailing paperwork. If they have a legal order they will have to mail that to me as well. Benjamin gave no company name.
