I received a call just as the others on the post said.  A person claiming to be an investigator from DFF who immediately asked that I hold for a supervisor.  The "supervisor" told me there were three fraud claims against me for payday loans.  I informed him I don't use payday loans and asked for his full name, the name of his company as well as the physical address and phone number.   He was uncooperative and eventually said he was Simon Hawk with DFF in Massachusetts.  He would not give me any other information a tried to get me to confirm my ssn, dob, address and other information.  I told him if he couldn't provide what I requested we wouldn't be having a conversation.  He then said he'd phone my employer and I told him to go for it and ended the call.  This is very scary I am concerned I may soon be the victim of identity theft.  I am going to phone the police to report the call.   Both men had heavy Indian accents and it was apparent from the background noise they were in a call center.    I am curious how they obtained my information, I recently used the free credit score site Credit Karma and wonder if it is related.

DFF is calling us at work at the switchboard of the hospital looking for a woman who doesn't even work here.  He has called 30 + times, and we can't get him to stop.  We were told to just keeping hanging up on him.

They have called my work place harassing me to no end.  I called them back and spoke with Anthony Marcello, he said they will keep calling me.  I called back again and left a message "I want to speak to someone without an accent AND they need to call me with their mailing address so my atty can be in contact with them for harassing me".  Haven't heard back from them yet.  Don't give in to them!

Ive been getting phone calls from these people for about 3 months now off an on . He says i owe money for a loan that was taken out and gave me all kinds of my info including my card number so i called my card and there was never any money deposited to that card. This guy called me again at 830 this morning i answered it cuz it was a 781 area code. I realized who it was when he said i hope you remeber me. I hung up, he called me atleast 10 times after that within 45minutes. I finally answered again an said im not paying the money i want you to take me to court. He said hes gonna call my job an make me lose it an also call and harass my family.i am tired of being harassed by these people and it`s getting ridiculous.ive been trying all day to figure out what to do or who to call about this.

I got calls from a Missy Walker (DFF Investiagations)  who claims they have received a legal complaint againts me and my social security number, they even gave me a case number (J040140024). Like previous people reporting this they sound "legit and "intimidating" but I have not receive any mail about this matter. They called me last year and I still waiting for any legal complaint to show up to US court. They are totally a "SCAM". Don't fall for this. The phone number they used was 336-609-7636.

This is the second time in two years that I got called from those a***oles. Last year it was a guy with a Indian accent, he told me that I own money on a loan and if I dont pay them today there will be police at my job waiting for me. I told him to bring the police, fbi , and his a** here. Two days later I called him to ask where is this police he was talking about and he hanged up on me..(i kept calling them day and night anytime of the day).well today 1/22/13 I got a called on my cell and at my old job, I didnt pick up my cell but I got a text from a ex employee about this lady calling there looking for me. 919-249-5382 is the number the crazy person gave me and told me his name is Dexter Scott from DFF Investigations. He called repeatedly for over 3 hours jamming all of the trunk lines in a huge medical center. There are several operators in the office and he managed to speak with all of us in a matter of seconds. He was rude and vicious. He threaten to keep calling until he spoke to who he was looking for. Every time he would get transferred to a supervisor, he would hang up the line.

A man, Daniel Knight, has continoulsy called my place of employment to the point he was calling all 3 lines at once.  He was rude and disgusting with the staff.  He started calling my cell phone at 7:30am.  

It is very scary that this man has my personal information.  When he first started calling a few months ago, he told me I was going to be arrested.  When he started calling 11/8/12, he wouldn't tell me what he wanted unless I verified my birth date.

It is a good thing my boss is so understanding or I would be out of a job.

Our office received calls for 5 days from a foreigner, with an India accent, claiming to be Jason Smith with DFF Investigations. The number he gave was 617-531-9136. He said he would call our office every minute on the minute until we let him speak to someone that doesn't even work here. The harassing calls were almost unbearable as our phones ring enough anyway!! I feel your pain....we are still in the battle as I type this....

Reading these posts I noticed that one thing was common, the fact that it is a SCAM. I was told that I had 3 allegations of fraud against me as a result of money I was supposed to have gotten from G.E. Money Bank, a payday loan, I took out in December,2011. The first lie was that I took out any kind of loan from the internet, the second was that I took out the loan to be applied to a prepaid card. I do not have any kind of prepaid credit cards. When I started to ask questions he hung up on me. If anyone calls and says pay or jail that usually means that you are being scammed. Never give any financial information to anyone over the phone espically if you are being threatned in any kind of way. When the law is broken you are either summoned to appear before a judge or arrested. Never have I heard of being called first and given the chance to make the charges go away without be ever being prosecuted. So please always verify the authenticity of the company or caller. Don't get scammed by this type of scum.

I have been called by DFF the ph # is 347-441-3328, a very rude bad Indian man called and yelled at me to call Clayton Petterson now, and just kept yelling this, and then I when I got rude back I was called bad names and they called at least 60-70 times in 1 hr. They claim I owe a payday loan debt.

Last week we began receiving phone calls from a "James Clark". He stated he was with DFF and was conducting a legal investigation on one of our employees and DEMANDED we let him speak to the employee. Four different administrative employees explained to him that staff are not permitted to receive personal phone calls at work. The man in question is most definitely of Indian descent...speaks with a thick accent...is very difficult to understand and you can hear the call center in the background. When I personally spoke with him, I explained to him that he was calling an unlisted US Government phone line and that the call was being recorded. I proceeded to tell him...for the upteenth time...employees are not allowed to receive personal calls at work. I repeatedly asked to speak to his supervisor...or at least someone who could speak proper English. He refused...yelled at me and acted much the same as the other compliants. Finally I told him that he was breaking at least 5 of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and I would be forwarding all this information to the proper authoritites for further investigation. Well, one of our staff actually took a message and we had the number to call them back with...so my supervisor and I did...from our work phones...which come up U.S. Government on a Caller I.D. After calling them and telling them that we know they are a fraudulent company and when they are calling our # they are purpertrating their fraud on the U.S. government and if they didn't remove our number from their call list, we would pursue legal action against them...the supervisor "Peter" finally agreed to remove our number. It is scary that they can do this to people...and they are getting away with it. The number they call from is 801-410-7985 and it is a fake number that they tricked our caller I.D. with...the call back number they gave was 704-266-4213.

Has anyone gotten a call from a company who claims they are collecting a payday loan debt but they don't have an accent? 1-888-389-3218.

Callers from this number keep trying to extort monies from us but they refuse to give us any information on how to verify the debt or repay the monies they are actually calling for!

DFF InvestigationsI called so many times they hung up on me, told me I was disgusting, and spoke to much. Then they continued to call my husbands work.

These people are ruthless and have a hindu accent.

They are calling from DFF Investigative Services - Jonathan Smith.  They are calling my job that I no longer work at.  The numbers they are using are 210-249-0540 & 704-969-0070.  I changed my cell so they would stop calling that.

The man calling our business in Indiana for one of the employees calls himself Patrick Thomas from DFF. He told us he would continue to call our business mon thru fri from 9-5 and tie up all of our lines which he has done and still continues to do...the police say there is nothing they can do.

We got a call from a "Luke Henry" at a state agency switchboard.  He called over 25 times with in a 20 min period.  I told him that it was illegal to call here and he just kept saying "maam', "maam", "maam".  One of my other coworkers told him that this is America and that he needed to speak English-he hung up and then called again.  I told him to give me his number and a supervisor name.  He finally gave me a number (919-249-5382) and I called to complain on him, and he hung up on me!

We have received numerous calls to our company for several of our employees from the same person who calls himself Jason Gord. He is very rude, unproffesional and has even threatened us if we do not
pass this informtion on to the person in question.

these people called my job, i work at a doctors office they cursed out the doctor, my supervisor and the operator, and if thats not enough they tied up all the lines for a couple of hours. We report to the NC attorney generals office

So, I figured out to get rid of these folks. I called them back for a solid 2 hours--not talking but using effects like whistles, air horns, etc. I then got a call from an "Officer Baker" from Jackson State University from India who said he was the police. I told him I wanted his badge number, precient number and name of this Captain. Then I pressed some random digits on the phone and said "yes agent, this is the call". They hung up real quick and quit calling.

Of course I have the number so as I told them, they call me I can call all night long--eight to ten hours a day. They weren't happy.

I have receiving these calls from representatives of DFF Invesigations. These people speak with a broken bad indian accent. They claim to have outstanding made up charges against you. Some of the charges are said to be "Violation of Federal Regulations, Collateral Check Fraud, Theft by Deception.
All made to sound official and scary. These people are nothing but scam artist who are out to harass
you. They have various numbers they call from, they have contacting me from 804-728-0931. They using
names such as William Johnson, and Jerry Lamar. The FBI has idenified these people as offical phonies and suggest you file a IC3 complaint on their website: www.fbi.gov/scams-safety/e-scams

I have had the same lady call me at my job I am looking for a mailing address for these people to send them a certified letter to ask them to stop harassing me at my home and my job.

I have been getting calls form this number plus a 704 691 0382 number i have asked them nicely to stop calling me at home and at my place of employment. My employer has also told them to stop calling them looking for me and they continue to call me and when i do not answer my phone at home they call my job and have them call me and then switch to them. They are very harassing and wont leave me alone after being asked to stop the calls.

These people have lost their minds,, calling my job,home, cellphone, and harrasing me,  a guy by the name of Jacob Barker from DFF investigations and dont speak good english,  he knew all my information, i ask him why is he calling me, and he said, "i had gotten a $300 payday loan with cash advance and i never paid it and i was about to loose my job and they were taking me to court", so i ask to speak to someone over him, he told me, i am the supervisor, so i told him, i will call him back with my attorney, he started to yell at me, i than lost my religion, i called him every name i could roll off my tongue and told him dont be screaming at me, he have lost his D*** mind, and i hung up, he called back twenty times from different numbers,9759021238,6620021229,7042475052,

Just recieved a call from these people. Said they were from DFF investigations from Anaya Murphy...Which obviously she is not american...I called her a f****n bi*** and told her to quit calling my phone. Then a guy calls my phone right back and I asked him the name of the company that I supposively "frauded" and they said it was "cash advance"...they had all my info and it was scarey but they had NO contact info for the actual company...I am contacting the local attorney generals office to report this company. If we can report them enough they will be stopped!! the number they called from was 17042475053

THESE IDIOTS CALLED ME AT WORK HARRASSSING ME STATING I HAVE A COMPLAINT AGAINST MY SS#. THEY ARE FAKE WANTING TO SCAM ME AND IM SMARTER THAN THEM!!!! My husband and I have been dealing with these people for weeks now.  Although they sound legit and scary, they are in fact a scam.  There are several numbers they call from, and just as you block one, they pull out another.  Don't forget, if you live in the USA, Police can not be sent out after you, even if you do owe the debt, it goes against the Fair Credit Act.  Another thing to remember is that the more irritated you are if you talk to them, the more info you may let slip and they add that to what they already know.  If you are worried, call the Attorney Generals Office, or Google Payday loan scam (one way they got their information) and you will see this is a documented Scam.  They use several business names, give you different names to call them, and have hundreds of phone numbers.  I either ignore their calls or pick up the phone, verify it is them and scream as loud as I can into the phone.  Hopefully they will quit calling soon, but if not I will change my number.  DONT GIVE INTO THEM,
