received a call from this number on my cell, no voice message - if they aren't willing to leave a message, then I don't know that I want to call them back.  However, I did respond to a job listing on Craig's List that told me to go to a site and fill out their application.  After reading some of the other comments on this number, makes me wonder if its real or not.

Called w/computer generated message indicating that I have applied for a job and to call back when I would be able to access the computer.  When I called back they left me on hold for ~2 minutes and then hung up.  Scam to get your phone number(s) I think?

I received a call from this numer too. I wasn't able to answer when they called so I called back the next day. A recording said it was about a jonb I applied for. I stayed on hold for a few minutes then someone came on to ask a few questions. The had all of the information to begin with but one of the first qustions they asked was am I considering going to school. I said no and they asked a few more that they should have already known from my resume. I asked the name of the hiring company and they said it was Atlanta Worforce Solutions. I googled and could not find a web site anywhere. I found the job ad at indeed.com which then took me to backpage.com.  They asked to email your resume to a gmail account which I thought was odd instead of a company e-mail. I should have known.

Received call on cell (704-817-0614). No message was left.  Googled the number and found it to be linked to a spammer "company".  I also completed an "application" online generated by a Craigslist job search.  Received an email from a recruiter for Career-Haven.com.  They represent the company who wishes to remain confidential until reviewing applications.  Upon completing the five (5) line application (name, address, city/state phone number, etc) { no resume download was available} Career-Haven.com seems very believable but be savy in your defense. Yes there are PRIVACY POLICY and TERMS AND CONDITIONS listed but take the time to read this FINE PRINT.  Suspect any redflags RUN FAST, RUN VERY FAST.  "They" stated they will contact me in 48 hrs. Apparently this was "the company" - NOT !!

This is a legitimate company.  I called them back and talked to a guy who led me through a verification process (phone number address etc...)  They did not ask for any crazy stuff like credit card number, account numbers or personal ID stuff.

They didn’t tell me where the job was located, but said it was in my area.  The guy told me after I finished the verification that I would soon receive a phone call for an interview.  It took the company almost a week to get back to me.  Sounds good to me…

I was getting sooo many calls from this number a few weeks back. They left messages about a job I applied for. I wasn't sure which job it was for so I called back. They went over my application and then told me they would calll me if they were interested in hiring me. they called back on another number i listed on my application and left messages about doing an interview. I spoke to a woman and she had my resume in front of her for the interview. The lady called back quite sometime after and asked if i was still intersted. They hired me but I've since left that job. It is a real company just unorganized. if you get a call make sure you call them back.

Hello:
I want to make you aware that as a former employee, this is defiantly a scam.  They are part of a place called "Career Network" based out of Orlando, FL.  However, Career Network go under a variety of name including, but not limited to:

Admin Solutions Group
Atlanta WorkForce Solutions
Atlanta Work Solutions, Inc.
Career Network
Denver Employment
Employment Select
Good Grades Now
Job Match Now
Massachusetts Job Source
Too Spoiled
USA Careers
Spotlight careers
World Voice News
Arizona Placements
Carolina Job Specialists
Denver Employment Solutions
Employment Specialists
Richmond Temps
San Diego HR Solutions
Seattle's Best Placement
Windy City Careers

These are "so-called" jobs are usually located on Careerbuilder, HotJobs, and Craigs List.  The jobs DO NOT EXIST.  All Employment Select is doing is attempting to solicit you to go to college.  The Verification Representatives do not get paid unless you say "yes" and go though the whole process.

Also, PLEASE watch the YouTube video on this link:  It was part of a 6 month investigation on this company.

http://www.arwentaylor.com/craigslist-job-sca ... ns-corporation/

This was the reason that I quit!

I hope this helps you all!

I have received two separate recorded messages on my cell phone from this number indicating that I had applied for a particular job recently, of which I had.  However, when I call the number back, I am on hold for too long to keep hanging on.  I do relate to Career Builders as well, although I use monsterjobs.com.  I am not sure how Career Builders became involved.  Career Builders is also linked somehow with other names such as Jasmine Careers and other names.  When I have gone to Career Builders web site to fill out further information for supposed job opportunities, it ask odd questions such as cell phone carrier, as well as if I would like to recieve information regarding insurance coverage, how to better your credit score.  When I have given names for my references, it will not let me continue because I do not give the e-mail addresses. It is most definitely a scam!!!

Got the same call on my cell with the same message to call back when I was at a computer.  Filled out a job apps on Careerbuilder.com   I also thought it was strange when I was asked what phone carrier I had.  Looks like non on the job search sites are safe from scammers.  I read though all 7 pages of comments and they all say the same thing.  Just wanted you all to know it's not just Craiglist.  Glad I looked up the number before I called back.

I received a call today in reference to an accounting job I applied for. I missed the call and when I called them back the person I spoke with verified my information, which he already had. He told me he was with employment select. He didn't know much about the position except when I applied and that the job title was accounting clerk. During the course of the conversation I learned this guy was in Florida. He seemed very nice and he told me someone would be contacting me over the next few days. I asked if this was for a real job in Evansville, IN and he said it was. He told me he was not given any other specifics about the position.

My question is have you ever heard anymore about the position you applied for?

I called the number back and after waiting on hold a man named "Austin" answered and said, " Thank you for calling Employment select, is this..." and he stated my name which I never even gave to him.  That made me extremely uneasy.  He than said he would like to verify info regarding a courier position I applied for through Craigslist and the process would take about 5 min.  I than lied and said I could not wait 5 min because I was heading out of the door to a job interview.  Austin said I could call back anytime before 7 PM EST.  I than looked up the number online only to find this website which pretty much verifies my suspicions.  If you receive a call from this number make sure to not give any personal info.  I may try calling back and when they ask to verify my info I will give them false info which should be fun for them, especially if they are just trying to steal my identity.

Got a call this morning from this number and I waited and it put me through to a woman who verified my address, name and phone number, said it was for a Recruiting Manager job I applied to on 11/18 which I went back and checked my notes. I did apply to a job in NC via "Craigs List"...Think it must be some scame. Said she worked for a company called Employment Select.

She said the job was for a company called Atlanta Workforce Solutions but the office was in Richmond VA...

Like some others, got this apparently from Craigs List for a Security position. Well, they basically sent me the same questionnaire twice, but under a different name the second time, like Peppercorn or something. In both, they ask you about furthering your education (and implying employer's would be more likely to hire you if you were interested) and then another spiel about improving your credit or some nonsense, to which I declined both. When I got the message today, the whole 'wants to remain anonymous' bit was a big red flag. I'm glad I looked this up online first. The economy's bad enough right now for poor Joe's looking for work and now we have to deal with parasite's like this? Psh! Stupid scam.

Received a call on my cell.  Hung-up before I answered. Employment Select is the name of the company according to the recording when I called back from a number blocked land line.  I spoke with someone named Robert who explained they were a third party out source for employment applications made on line.  When the information is verified they provide that verification to the prospective employer.  The number I called was in NC but Robert said he was in Orlando, FL.  A centralized number spins the incall to the next available call center, in my case, Orlando.  If I were to give them my number and tell them it was a bad number, they would mark it as such and cease calls to me......  The information I have provided came from a 2 minute return call I made after seeing your web site. I hve no way to verify this.  I am repeating what I was able to get by asking questions.

I received a call from this number this morning.  They called on my cell phone and it sounded like a recording that said something about that they were responding to my job application and it gave a number to call back but I didn't have a good signal on my cell phone and couldn't hear very well and then the call dropped.  I have applied for jobs on Craigslist recently.

Just received a call on my cell phone from Employment Select.  Same story. It was a recording of a female about me applying for a job with a company that would remain confidential.  I hung up and "Googled" Employment Select and thankfully found this site.
