Best advice, never do monetary transactions over the phone ESPECIALLY when someone, anyone CALLS YOU. simply put, if they called you, YOU REALLY DONT KNOW WHO IT IS.

im not saying you should not make a payment or purchase over the phone, just only do so when you have initiated the call. VERIFY that the number you call is valid. (ie: you get an email from your bank, dont call the number in the email before verifing it matches the company number on there website.)
