This is from a specialty pharmacy that ships my Multiple Schlerosis drugs each month, they call to check if you are ready for another shipment, mine comes in 3 month bundles so they call every three months. Relax, put the aluminum foil deflector beany back in the closet. nothing nefarious here.

The phone number is connected with Pfizer. They supply my husband with much needed cancer drugs that are too expensive for us to buy. They call to confirm shipping address prior to sending out the drug. Three years ago we applied directly to Pfizer, with the assistance of my husband's doctor, for financial assistance with his prescribed drug.

This is a legit call. As the other writers stated, they call on behalf of your doctor. For me, they always call to to ensure my Remicade appointments have been set up and will assist if I am having any issues with authorizations, prescriptions, etc. The Access One staff is always pleasant and they have been extremely helpful.

This is what we in the Insurance field call a third party company. They call on behalf of your doctor to facilitate obtaining either medication that your plan doesn't cover and needs prior authorization review or benefit information regarding your medication copay structures to see if you qualify for assistance from the drug manufacturer. The reason they ask you these "silly questions" is to establish that they are talking to the correct individual. They can't just start giving info to anyone that answers the phone, since that would be a violation of HIPAA. They are not debt collectors, they are not soliciting sales, they are not trying to scam you. Once you confirm three pieces of information - normally Name, DOB and Address, etc - they will then have satisfied the verification requirements of the HIPAA law and then they can give you details regarding what they are calling about.

This call, for me, was to inform me of my costs associated with Prolia, New Treatment for Osteoporosis. My doctor did inform me that this company would be doing the research to see if/what portion of the cost my insurance company would cover.

Not a scam if you are receiving Remicade infusions - # is Janssen Pharmaceuticals Access One program for people receiving Remicade infusions. I receive calls from them for appointment reminders, and follow ups on treatments.

If they say it isn't fake, they probably are the ones trying to scam you.
mark 2012-06-21 19:36:03 Unknown
this is 100% fake and a scam. As a doctor I know it is illegal to send out any patient info. without written consent form the patient first. Anyone saying this is probably the one trying to scam you.

Ok folks...under HIPPA law, your doctor or doctors are PROHIBITED from releasing ANY INFORMATION concerning your healthcare or anything else related to you to ANYONE, this includes pharmaceutical companies without your EXPRESS WRITTEN permission or consent. With that being said, we received a call from the number 704-973-3460 with the caller ID of "Customer Service." Since I wasn't home at the time to intercept the call from my 79 year old mother in law who is in the beginning stages of dementia and alzheimers, it is hard to determine what their purpose is for their call since we have told ALL of her doctors to not release any information concerning her unless we gave them such. It's just a matter of asking the caller which doctor gave them your information and going from there.
Also as having been in the healthcare industry for many years, I think they're trying to phish information from us or it is a sales call will block their number(s) and go from there if I don't get a satisfactory answer from who they are and why they have our number.

Access One is a patient assistance program for Remicade infusions. They send reminders to patients getting remicade and check with them afterwards to see how the infusion went. They can also offer financial assistance to those who need help with paying for the medicine. I'm a patient & I use the Access One program. No worries. If you don't receive Remicade or another medicine they work with, it was probably just an accident they called you.

Got a call from this number at 3:43. 3:53, and 4:03am this morning with no voicemail, and not number on caller id. It's very sketch, but it's getting annoying.
jcool 2012-02-01 01:52:02 Unknown
Huh. Turns out it was a legit call. I just got a postal letter, with the correct name of my doctor and an explanation of what this "AccessOne" thing is (http://www.janssenaccessone.com). Way to set off my alarm bells, Janssen! Idiots....
jcool 2012-01-30 19:16:32 Unknown
I just got a VERY suspicious message from this number, saying they were from "Access One" and that they were "calling on behalf of your doctor" and that I should call them back at (888) 222-3771. This set off alarm bells because I was not expecting any such call, and because they didn't mention any doctor's name--just the generic "your doctor." If they were really calling on behalf of my doctor, they'd know his or her name.
Googling for "access one" doesn't turn up anything healthcare-related, which makes it more suspicious.
Smells very strongly of phish if you ask me. Beware!

This call is from the Pfizer Patient Assistance Program. If they are calling you it is because you are in their program receiving free drugs from them and they are checking to see if you want your monthly shipment sent. They are calling to verify who you are before mailing out your medicines.
They usuallu leave a message if you don't answer the phone call. CALL THEM BACK !!!

This is a group that is trying to help. I was in a panic when they called my house. I called them back and after a few questions found out that my doctor had contacted them to try and get some help for me on the drug Reclast which I need to get but cannot afford even though I have insurance. My portion was to much for me to deal with. So don't panic when they call. If you have medical problems and need help getting drugs to finances, they are only trying to help.
SDF 2011-01-18 19:56:28 Unknown
I received a call from this telephone number. They are a health consulting company, AMERISOURCE. They help determine if your insurance will cover a particular medication. Your doctor's office contacts these people and gives the name of your insurance and the medication.

Its not a sells call! It is not a bill collector! Its a Health care help line. They help people get medicines that they may not be able to afford. They help people who need to talk about what they are going through. They DO NOT call people who they have not been in contact with before. If they do, maybe it could be a wrong number.
Sure Thing 2010-12-01 20:21:01 Unknown
Don't agree with patient. I don't have any medical needs, I didn't ask them to call me, and I don't want them to call me. Received call 1.22pm Mountain Time. No message left. If they have something important to say.... better leave it on my voice mail....cause I am not answering....and recommend that no one else answer as well.

PHONE NUMBER 704-973-3460. AM ON THE NO-CALL LIST, AND ROBOCALLS SHOULD HAVE STOPPED AWHILE AGO. WHY ARE THESE EVIL SOLICITORS STILL CALLING?
patient 2009-03-11 14:58:22 Unknown
They are not Selling anything people. They are not bill collectors. Stop running scared.
They are a healthcare consulting firm, and if they have your number, it means you have some sort of medical issue and you have seeked assistance in some form. They are the ones that can assist you with getting help. If they are calling you, it is you that "NEED" them and it is their job to help you. Not everyone calling you that you don't know is a Bill Collector or Sales Person.
