I think it's from Cranberry Resorts offering discounts on staying at their resort. I think I talked to them  once a year ago and they call almost everyday and never give up!

i think i have the answer! in the past 6 months have you  or anyone in your household been to a place where you fill out a ballot for a chance to win or take advantage of a special deal providing you enter? i did & when contacted i declined to participate & now keep getting this annoying random call!!

just received a call from 705 444 1366.. when i tried to call it back it showed as number not in service. called bell canada and told them that if any extra charges appeared on my cell its for this elleged no... how can a number not in service can call me??  thank you all for your postings it shows what a long history this issue has.

I found a way for iPhone users to prevent this. There is an app called iblacklist. You can block numbers you don't want to pick up. It has a 1 out of 5 stars rating at the App store but I find that it works for me. I have a jailbroken iphone so I downloaded it for free through Cydius. You can just enter the number you don't want to pick up and your phone will hang up on them and gives them a busy call sound. You can set it up so you phone won't ring or vibrate. There are some youtube videos on this if you want to check it out. You can test the App by using your home phone and try calling you cell.

Call in the afternoon, followed by a pause and a hang up. Drove me crazy to the point of finding this site!!!

They keep calling & it doesn't stop.  When I pick up the phone & say hello, there's a long pause before hanging up.  Half the time I hang up first out of fustration.  Other times, I let the machine take it & there again is a long pause before they hang up the phone.  I've called the number, just to find out that it's not in service.  

If you're not going to TALK, STOP CALLING!!!!!!!

Just went to job interview at cranberry and can confirm this as timeshare scam.

Numerous calls at various time from 705-444-1366.  How can authorities allow this to happen? As someone state lets book high value reservations, even under different names from public phones or go to their websites and let them know how we feel to be disappointed and inconvenienced.

i have every day recive this number call.different time.some time i picked up no body answer.here all ready one stroke patient and wife disable.some time lot of ring they want talk.but no answer.then mad.i do not who person call and why bother us.what,s problem. please stop phone call.

The responsible annoying party is Law Cranberry Resort Ltd and in my opinion they are very low.

eventually called 705-445-6600 (guest center) transferred me to call center (dump center) and left a message for a loser named Kim to remove my number from the annoying list.

got a call this morning around 10, they've called before. extremely annoying.

I too got acall from this # she said that she was from cranberry resort from collingwood I said,OK she asked me if I had a little family that would like to take a mini vacation. I asked her how did U get my #?She said the info about me was payed for I said, "Really!how much was I worth?" she had no knowledge about "how much" anyway I told her that I wasn't interested, she said,"ok, thank U goodbye," and that was that... However next time they call I'll book top of the line vacation like SANLEO suggested ha ha.                                                                             I got this phone call @ 9:15P.M.and thought it was an aquaintance anyhow hope I was of some help to hoo they was....chi meegwetch fr zgawmok neeawshing

Received the call yesterday while studying for exams. Looked at the number, didnt recognize it so I didnt answer. They didnt leave a message. I'M glad I decided to look the number up. Now I know they are BS people. I definitely wont answer if they call again.

got a call from Caller ID: 1-705-444-1366 Unknown Caller . Really creepy could hear someone breathing in the phone but no one talks. It is cranberry resort's automated call system.

To stop this go to the CRTC and report them, also you will find a link on their website to get on the do not call list without paying extra.

JUST recieved this call now, let it go to voicemail, long pause....

Is there anyone that knows the number for their head office so I can have my number removed from their lists. I work for bell and their is nothing your phone provider can do to make the calls stop. I get calls from 1-705-444-1366 4 times a day and when I answer their is no one on the line. This is horrible where did they get my number????

I've had a couple of calls from this number, when i answer no one is there then it hangs up, very annoying.

I've been getting these calls too. I haven't answered but what the HELL!!

I got a call from this number...said 'hello' recieved NO response, then 'it' hung up on me!!!!  when I called the # back...it was out of order!?!  WTF?

you may be off their calling list, but they actually share, sell your number with other telemarketing companies. so you may not get calls from them anymore, but trust me you will get calls from another party. It happens to everyone.

Tim is a fat bastard who does not give a s**t! He only cares about getting people up to the resort so his wife can sell you a timeshare, and she does not like to hear the word NO!!! He coaches all his staff at the call centre on the script of what to say, and you are drilled every day on this. It was so degrading that I quit this job after 2 days.

LOL... I worked there for 2 days. I hated the fact that you were scamming people on the phone to get them to the resort, so they could get sucked into a timeshare, as Tim the big fatty boss says reel them in. and he would listen to your calls and call you into his office, when you did not get the sales. That job was very degrading so I quit, 2 weeks later I got the call and told the caller to tell Tim your not reeling in this fish.

They also have a call center in Barrie! Do not fall for this mini vacation crap. They get you there and you have to do a 90 minute tour which turns into 3 hours!! they are trying to sell you a timeshare. It is a very high pressure sell, they do not like to hear the word NO!!! and as far as the resort where you stay in a small dingy looking standard hotel room, the pool was dirty, I would never go back there. It was a waste of my time, and money, as well as car gas to get there. SO BEWARE!!!!

Called the resort and asked them to remove my number...she was extremely pleasant and it took less than a minute.  wow ..after years of these annoying calls!  Thanks to everyone for the info on this number!

I got a call from this number and they asked to talk to my girlfriend either it was a lucky guess or they looked at my profile on facebook or somewhere else to get my number and girl friends name but either way there really annoying. The call cut out after that but still how did they get that information and apply it to the right phone number.

As I dont' believe that the "DO NOT CALL LIST" in Canada is very effective at this time, I took your advice Diane and called Cranberry directly.  Thank you so much for the info as they have been calling here at least once a day for the past month.  When I called, Tim said we would be off the calling list within 5 minutes............WOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO.  P.S....this site is so helpful....keep up the good work
