I phoned back that number (705-820-6969) but on my Rogers bill, I was charged for international long distance. Rogers Phone bill log shows that this number is from Russia!

I get calls from them everyday sometimes twice a day,
I garuntee that they are a bunch of idiotic scammers, appearently
scamming for air miles!!!

A gang called Organized Stalking makes a lot of odd calls.  
As I am a Canadian victim of organized stalking and got a call from 705 820 6969, it could suggest that others who get calls from this number are on OS's (organized staking's) watch list.

I no longer answer my land-line unless I recognize the calling party's number, I let my answering machine
pick-up the incoming calls.
My outgoing message to all calling parties is a continuous recording of the Jeopardy theme tune which I
found on YouTube!!!

This number called on September 12, 1:17 pm EDT.

Got a call from this computer message centre, offering free Air Miles, take me off this list NOW!!

I use Mr. Number for Android to auto block these types of calls.  It was sent to my voicemail and the recording just said "press one to accept".  I assume it is from an airmiles scammer as mentioned above, and also by a comment in the Mr. Number app by another who also received a call from them.

i got a call today sept 18 and i call it back and it didnt ring

Got 2 calls, the latest Sept 13 at 1253 PM. No one responded on pickup, no message. If it's a telemarketer they missed 2 opportunities which is unusual.I don't call back unknown numbers.

Just got a call and ignore it. Googled the # and got here. Good thing I didn't answer.

I just got a call from this number too and someone on the other line was just listening in before hanging up. I ended up BLOCKING AND REJECTING IT. It will never ring again!

I should have mentioned it was on my cell, which is not in the phone book.

I got an automated call saying 'since you are an airmiles customer, stay on for an important voucher worth $2000 for your next vacation."  I hung up.

Got a call yesterday at 3:24pm in Winnipeg MB. It's not the first. All it says on my phone is it's coming from Ontario. I won't be calling back. Morons.

This number and many others are from Vacations by Newport in Floridia
They want you to pay un front for 2-3-4 day stays in Orlando-Daytona-a cruise-Disney Land etc
They want $1247 charged to your credit card --before the call ends!!!
It is a Scam
There are hundreds of hidden charges--rooms fees--port fees etc plus timeshare presentations
The time share is Silver Lake Resort which is suppose to be a 4 star--but you are only there a few days and the rest of the places are very low end--When you book and arrive the "good places" are taken and you are forced into a sub standard unit
All these calls from all over Canada are fed through FIBERNETICS in Quebec which  also has offices in Cambridge Ontario

This number comes from Ontario --They say you have WON Air Canada airmiles
They really are Vacations by Newport --trying to sell you a package for short stays in Orlando-Daytona-Disney land-a cruise etc etc etc
All for $1247 on your credit card today--with 18 mos to book
10 mins later I got a call from Alberta 403-779-2121--same story--same vacation package--everything word for word

It involves a timeshare presentation and well as low end resorts and hotels--as well as extra fees for rooms and port charges etc
Hang up or leave the phone on the counter
I played along for 20 minutes then told the guy that I do not like Flordia--he hung up on me --then another call comes from the SAME company from ANOTHER  phone number--5 minutes later ?????

What is going on with these people who have no courage to identify themselves or wait until one gets to the phone to answer their call.

got a call on Sept 13 8:33pm offering sam ventilation system.After my daughter tell him nobody is home, he called again 3 times and harased her, asking an not appropriate questions.

Got a call from this # 8:15 pm, Sept 13. Automated voice, saying I'd been selected to win 2500 air miles, just press 1 to accept. I hung up.

I have received a call from this number at 9:30 am this isn't the first time. I do not answer calls from numbers I don't know. The way I look at it if they can leave a message I will return it. If they don't and or block their numbers I will not answer it either.  Calls come different times of the day and evening. DNC list does not work on these people!

Missed call to government number, from this number, at 1757 hrs., Sept 12.  Called back.  No answer after three rings.  Knock it off already, whoever you are!

Just got a call, I too ignored it.

I got it too - Sep 12.12 - 1:30pm .. one ring, disconnected, no msg and that's it. Scam.
