I never answer the phone unless I recognize the number.  Even though I am unlisted, I still get these idiots calling.  The first thing I do is check the number by internet search.  This number is a spoof - it tricks you into believing it's one number, when the call is coming from somewhere else.  For me, if a call is important enough, they will leave a message - of the calls I get like this 10 out of 10 - either a pre-recorded message that's junk or no message,  So I don't waste my time getting pissed on the phone, they aren't worth it.

I just got the call.. I have friends who live in that area code. I answered they said my phone number has been selected, the automated voice told me to press 1 but I was afraid of being billed connection fees so I hung up. No clue how they got my number. I rarely give out my cell number.

the call originates somewhere near the barrie region, and im assuming in my case that they got my number from snow valley mountain.

got a missed call from that number....decided to do a reverse search...found this...stupid international caller's can bypass the no call list and no advertising to cell phone rules

Hi every I just received the same call about a 10 minutes ago.  Same thing happended.  The person told me that I had won a prize of some sort and to press 1.  I hung up automatically.  That is so wierd!!! I have never received a telamarketing call on my cell phone before.

I got a call - missed it - and tried to research it and found this - piss me off!  No idea where they got thenumber from.

I pressed 1 and live person started talking about some vacation plan I won.
I asked where they got my number. Received straight answer.
When I asked where they located, she said Cancun Mexico and I hung up.
I hope I won't see a huge connection on my next bill.
