I received the following e-mail from Sound Telecom's COO:

"I am very sorry this is happening to you. I can assure you that it is not Sound Telecom that is calling you. Rather, you are being illegally solicited by a ?spoofer.? You can find out more information about spoofing on the FCC?s website. I would recommend contacting your local provider and blocking said numbers that are calling you. That will put a stop to it very quickly".

I doubt it. AT&T's customer service has gone to hell in a handbasket since they busted up the Baby Bells. All we hear from them every time we call is what they can't do. At least I received a response from Sound Telecom. That's more than I can say for others.

For the past several weeks, I have been receiving repeated and annoying hang-up calls from 706-059-4744 to xxx-xxx-xxxx, which is registered on the DNC list. Please remove my number from your database immediately. Failure to do so will result in my filing a complaint against your company with the Federal Communications Commission. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter.

This number has been calling me daily for a few months. I deny it each time. It appears the DNC list isn't capable of stopping companies such as this. Apparentally, there are so many avenues companies such as this one in Ringgold, Ga uses, it becomes more irritating for those of us who seem to be one their robocall directory.

706 059 4744 has called me repeatedly. when I answer, they hang up. No message,No hello. No nothing.

Number calls daily. Never leaves a message. I deny it all the time.

Same here. Can't even block the...damn number because it is invalid.

I get a lot of calls from this number and they just hang up when I answer. I'm not welll and this is very hard on me. Please stop !

Number blocked. Problem solved.

This number keeps calling my cell phone.  I don't answer, leaves no message.  I am getting really annoyed, because I am on the donot call list.  I think that list is a joke.

I blocked 706-059-4744 and now I get a voicemail text!!!!  Never listen and delete!!!

I reported the call on Mr. Number too and got the following message:

"706-059-4744 is not a valid number. If you are sure that you got a phone call from a number beginning with this prefix, the caller may have 'spoofed' caller ID."

In any event it appears the number is spoofed and I have blocked them.

I have received numerous calls from this number. I have not answered and they leave no message.

This number has called my cell now for a couple days.  I have not answered and they leave no message.  I just blocked them through verizon.

If you are going to call my home, leave a message. Stop calling over and over. Also stop hiding behind "Unknown" and use your REAL company name.
