I got a text from them.....I just deleted it. I'm glad y'all posted this though.....it helps to know others got it too. It smelled of scam to me.....glad no one fell for it.

Received 3 texts from 287465@vtext "smiONE: Call 706-279-3289 Account Issue". I was traveling and did not have immediate on-line access, I called the # and got a recording that my debit card was having issues and to put in my acct #. I don't have a debit card so I knew it was a scam. Later called Verizon and they said they would never text any customer requesting account info.

Receive text from 9197416@text.com, Read: [smiONE] call 706 279 3289. Asking for credit card info. Not specific on what kind of credit card or the owner. This is a 3rd party Phishing scam! I contacted Verizon (vtech.com) and they say that they would not ask for personal info in that manner. Was advised to call and report the scam. 1-800-833-7929. Mon-Fri 10am-8pm est.

"...problem with your debit card due to a technical error." (recorded message) Requested the last 4 digits of my SSAN, and then the 16 digit number of my debit card. This smells of fraud.
