Any telemarketing call is illegal! Period. Do not do not DO NOT provide any personal information over the phone! Never provide information over the phone especially to callers that call you!

Beware of identity theft and financial fraud.

Telemarketing scams are the new email spams. You will receive many many more calls from various numbers. All the numbers and caller ID's are faked/spoof. The criminals will use another fake number tomorrow and then another the day after that and so forth. Telemarketing scams are on the rise and YES the person on the other end know they are trying to scam you, which makes them criminal low-lives too. Criminals do not care about you nor the law.

These calls aren't going to stop you will receive many more (worth repeating). Do not pick up. Do not bother pressing any buttons or wasting their time. They are criminals. Criminals do not care.

Never ever give out personal information over the phone. Never ever give out personal information over the phone. Repeat, repeat, repeat. Especially do not provide personal information over the phone to telemarketers that CALL YOU.

You will not win anything, there is no lowering of your credit card interest rate, there is no home security, computer fix, auto warranty, no medical alert devices or no free government money. There is no company just criminals looking to steal your identities and your hard earned money.

Warn the elderly and warn the gullible. Take the time to let others know.

Don't take the calls personally. A computer does all the work until you press a button. Then your call is forwarded to a criminal operator who attempts to steal your personal info. Don't be a victim. Do not provide any personal information over the phone and just ignore the calls. Never ever give personal information over the phone. Not full name. Not full address. Definitely do not give date of birth over the phone.  Definitely do not provide your social security number over the phone. And definitely do not provide financial information over the phone.

Beware of out of your calling area callers. Beware of weird caller ID's. And hang up on unwanted automated telemarketing calls and unsuspecting calls. Don't allow criminals to waste your time. Ignore their calls.

Take the time to warn others, report the calls to the Do Not Call Registry and beware.

This person called and said that they were from a Vehicle Processing Company.  Inquiring about GMC warranties and mileage on a car.  I told her unless a legitimate company shows up on my caller ID don't expect me to answer any of her questions because she could be anyone.  Vehicle Processing sounds like a department in a company, not a company, so what company are you supposedly calling from.  She hung up.  

Just because GM had that ignition problem lately.  Bogus people perhaps think they can call and say buzz words like GM, warranty and vehicle processing and you are going to roll over and give them pertinent information.  Do NOT fall for it!
Anytime there is a recall or a problem the Manufacturer always send you a card through the U.S Postal Service.

DITTO ON THE ABOVE...DIDN'T ANSWER AND DIDN'T CALL THEM BACK. THEY HAVE CALLED MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE PAST TWO WEEKS OR SO...BUT NO MESSAGES. GOING TO HAVE TO BLOCK THE NUMBER I GUESS. I RECEIVE CALLS FROM DALTON GA EVERY 6 MONTHS OR SO...SO I GUESS WE'RE ON A ROTATING CALL LIST OR SOMETHING.

Been getting this same call for about a week now. Have not paid my car payment in about two weeks thought it was the collections, but by these posts I see it's a telemarketer.

Have received EIGHT calls from these people in the last week on my cell phone (which is a private number) any sort of question i ask they hang up on me. Just called ten minutes ago (3pm 4/5/14) ..Is there anything other than being on the dnc list that can be done about this sort of thing??

A foreign man called and said he was with the Vehicle Processing Center and the call was in regards to my extended warranty. He asked how many miles were on my vehicle. He knew my name and what I drove. I answer the question because I thought this was legit because a had been receiving letters in the mail regarding extended warranties for my vehicle. He said he was transferring me to his supervisor as soon as I answered his question, then he hung up on me. Is this a scam or what?

Exactly as stated above. I keep getting phone calls but no ones there. When I call no answer just an answering machine stating they are closed

Yes I received a call around 2 p m today, of course I could not answer, no voice mail left.  After reading these post, I know there is no use in calling back, and I sure will not be answering if they should call back.  I think these calls fall somewhere under Harassment.  Anyways, tips were very helpful.

Got a few calls from these jokers but wasn't available to answer them. Next one I get I will act very interested and keep them on the phone as long as possible to waste their time and jerk them around without giving any real info of course.  It might save a few innocent victims and piss them off at the same time.

Caller ID specifies only " Dalton GA"  Caller inquires  for person than starts on vehicle.  When pushed for company states "vehicle processing center for Chrysler"  will not give company past that point.  When asked for website, states he is not allowed to give that information.   Caller then hung up.

I have been getting his same call from Dalton GA. But when you return the call you get a voice mail from a company in CA saying hours are from 7 AM -4 PM Pacific Time.

Received call today, this time from a foriegn sounding man, knew my name again and when asked said he was from a processing company, but couldn't tell me what processing company.  I politely said not interested, thank you, and hung up.

Received call 3/6/14 and they knew my name.  When I asked who she was it was so muffled I couldn't understand and I kept asking her who was she and where was she calling from, then she hung up.  I'm going to see if my cell provider will do a trace. Really had enough of those trying to steal identities.

Been getting calls from this number. They won't leave a message. Finally answered and asked what they wanted. Told him they had the wrong number and they continue to call....

Me too..about 15 minutes ago! Called on our home phone, which  is also on Do Not Call list.  He  had my name and info about one of our cars that we no longer own.  I kept trying to stop him but he kept right on talking. So, when I told him he should not be calling and we no longer owned vehicle he was referencing, he asked what we owned now.. VERY RUDE!!!   I hung up on him..something i do not usually do..

Called me twice, first time I missed the call (and didn't know who it was so called back to get a "thank you for calling our business is currently closed, please call back btw our normal business hours which are Mon-Fri from 9am -5pm" ... and I was calling btw those hours). Then received ANOTHER call on SATURDAY (not their "normal business hours". He didn't speak great english and identified himself as someone from "vehicle processing center" ... he knew my name and my vehicle make model and year. He asked how many miles I had on my vehicle, to which I told him that I was NOT giving him that information, that this was my personal cell phone number and I am on a "do not call" list so I'm not sure why he was calling me to begin with and in the middle of me telling him that I needed to be removed from their list he hung up on me.  

Just got another call from this number, Sat. 3/1/14 12:51. I tried to call the number back from work and the reording said they were closed, to call back M-F.

received a call on 2/25 and also again on 2/26...I did not recognize the number and no number or message was left.

Have had this number call twice.  Once yesterday, I picked up and no answer and then today (didn't pick up and no voice mail was left).

Call came thru from Dalton GA  A Mr Williams who identified himself from the Vehicle Processing Center .  Knew my name and called on my mobile--even knew what type of vehicle I owned  SCARY!!! Told him I was on Do Not Call and that he was to remove my number from his database immediately upon which he got snarky with me
