These people (Cardmember Services) are credit card thieves. They have asked me for my credit card number (which is why I think they are credit card thieves), and they emphatically refuse to give me a number where I can call them back. With good reason, because then law enforcement would be able to find them. They also break the law every time they call me because my number is on the Do Not Call list, the call is recorded, and they refuse to identify their real phone number.
If you want to jerk them around and waste their time (but not yours), pretend interest. Tell them you owe upward of $10K, with interest of 14% or more. Then, when they ask for your credit card statement, tell them you have to go find it. (Don't give them your real name or zip code, either.)Then eat your meal, read the newspaper, or whatever. String them along to keep them on the line. Then end with the bum's rush where you ask for a number where you can call them back. When they refuse to give you one, pretend surprise and ask, "Are you a reputable business? I don't do business with people who don't have addresses or phone numbers. Maybe you are really a thief; if so, never call me again."

Same thing here in Calif. They keep calling, we keep hanging up.

Seems like fines and prosecution are not enough to stop these guys. They even use similar calling ID to flaunt the system. I beleve they supposedly were hit with two or three fines. Next ones to begin calling again will be the "free medical alert" robos since they allegedly were the most recent callers that were "prosecuted". DNC registry is almost totally noneffective.

I have gotten this message for a long time. I pay all my bills in full each month so I have no worries.

Hang-up. No clue who it was, but the prior comments make it obvious; a scam just as so many others. Blocked number.

Received call from 706-805-1776, Caller ID says: Cardmember Svs, on 2/11/14 at 1:21pm. The message I receive on my landline is a female voice stating that it's my last chance to take advantage of their stimulus offer and lower the interest rate on my credit card. HaHaHa. Haven't received one of these calls in a while, but.....

Robo call recorded 11 February 2014 ("Lower your interest rate...second and final notice...Financial Stimulus..." )
Caller ID: "V021117021500555" (derived from date and time so no two people get the same caller ID)
Also called recently from: (706) 805-1777 | (706) 805-1778 | (706) 805-1779 | (360) 322-6708 | (616) 980-2164 | (616) 980-2063 | (616) 980-2030 | (616) 613-2228 | (616) 613-2199 | (215) 383-3414 | (415) 333-9999
Three months have gone by since their last call [November 10, 2013] using this same number, I unblocked the number thinking they wouldn't use it again, but I was wrong. We are on the Do Not Call list, so this call certainly says a lot about their business ethics, doesn't it?
I wish I had a quarter for every time a robo call voice said "...this is your second and final notice..." This one's so stupid, yet people fall for it. Don't answer your phone, people, if you don't recognize the number.
"[female voice]This is a very important message about your current credit card accounts. This is your second and final notice to lower your credit card interest rate and payments. Press 1 now to find out the terms conditions and associated changes before the next billing cycle. Again, this is your final notice as it relates to the financial stimulus. So press 1 now to take advantage of this today."

706-805-1776 I have repeatedly requested to be taken off of their call list. I am registered as "Do Not Call List", but I still keep getting irritating calls such as this one. I've punched 2 to be removed, but they just keep calling back.

I am on the "do not call list"and when I tried to tell them that - they hung up on me mid- sentence. What I found that worked for me is that I pressed "1" and when the person answered - I acted as if I were interested and as soon as they started into their sales pitch - I just said " F*** YOU" and hung up. After a couple of times - guess what - the calls stopped ! ! ! I hate being so rude - BUT - they broke the law and called ME ! ! !

Much more efficient way to report this number (and any other telemarketer) is by filing a complaint with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) by calling 1-877-382-4357. It is extremely easy (took less than 3 minutes). I also stated that I am on the Do Not Call Registry (https://www.donotcall.gov) and they explained that it was illegal for telemarketers to contact me.

These ones have called multiple times, "Cardmember Services", also "Anil Credit Service". I pressed "1" to get a person. I asked who they were representing. The woman said, "we're a middleman". I asked, "between who and who?". She said, "If you would shut the f**k up I could tell you", then she hung up. I called back and got "Anil Credit Service" recording. It gave a way to get on their own supposed "do not call" list. I did it. Let's see if I get more or less calls from this obnoxious telemarketer.

When I have time, I play along with these assclowns. Give them test cards from the PayPal Developer's program. They will pass validation. Some of the groups running this scam only collect the card number/expiration/cvv for subsequent fraud. They only check the number/date validity but don't charge anything at that time. Other groups actually try to charge their "fee" right then. Ooops. I don't know what could be wrong! Either way, the scammers have just been punk'd.
