Same name - different number.  National Renewal Energy.  The phone number on the caller ID is fake - I tried calling back and was told it was out of service.  This morning, all our cell phones rang at the same time, meaning they are using calling banks to dial multiple numbers at the same time, then after the first person answers, everyone else is hung up on.  We have had no one there multiple times when we answer slowly.  

They had my address, but didn't know my monthly bills (thought it was bi-monthly), how often I was billed, or my energy company, which would be obvious with some basic research.  The phone number is local to my neighborhood (my neighbors have a similar prefix), but I doubt they are local.  They have called a few times a day in the last few days.  I was firm yesterday and said I wanted my number off the list because I was not interested.  I was told they could not take my number off until I answered the questions.  After multiple requests on that call to remove my number, I finally had to hang up.  So now I'm making up the answers to show they can't help me.

This call is from A1 Solar Power, a solar company based in Van Nuys, California (with six branches throughout the state: San Diego, Costa Mesa, Carpenteria, Petaluma, Concord, and San Jose) or one of its telemarketing fronts.  

A1 Solar Power?s telemarketing fronts usually spoof both the Caller-ID name and the Caller-ID number or use recently disconnected numbers.  Occasionally, they will spoof the active number of an unsuspecting victim.

The company has called me twice a day for atleast a month. I have asked them over and over again to take my number off their call list but they still call. Most of the time they hang up on me as I ask them to stop calling. Very rude and unprofessional.

I figured out that because I joined dating sites in the past and paid for it, my info was hacked and sold or rented.  Stupid, because I still can't find anyone who wants to actually date me.  I know I have to lose a lot of pounds.  I know I'm not that good-looking.  Small man parts should not matter.  I know that I am spineless and can't hold a friendship with normal people. That doesn't mean I should be harassed on the phone.  

I receive a phone call every other day from the National Renewable Energy Center. I have told them we aren't interested and to stop calling which they haven't.

Very RUDE!! I get calls from this number at least  3 times a week 925 201-6517. Spoke to a Manager who called himself James, he called me STUPID for not allowing him to finish his sales pitch and for asking him to remove my telephone number from his call list.

This phone number, (707) 238-4098, calls my residence 2 to 4 times a day and never leaves a message. I hav tried calling the number to ask them to stop calling my number, however, their number is always busy upon callback.

I do NOT want this number or any number related to this business calling me.

They call almost every day sometimes twice a day and never answer the phone when i do and I cant call them back because the number doesn't receive caslls

they called again yesterday twice. they say they are calling on behalf of PG+E and want to see if I qualify for solar equipment. first the guy said his name was Rene and when asked at the end of the call what his name was, he replied Mike, when asked his last name he said Fagas, so I asked him to spell his last name and he hesitated and then said Fago and told me to go to the website to get more information on the program, when asked what the website was he stumbled and rattled off what was obviously a bogus site, little did he know I recorded the entire 7 minute call................got cha...

Got 3, yes, three phone calls today--don't answer.  Get at least 1 every day.  I am in an apt and have no interest in solar energy.
Does anyone have an idea as to stop these calls?????

Called again today. Asked for a name that doesn't exist at our home. When I told the person that, I was told rudely, "Yeah right, that's what they all say." I then hung up, but wonder what would have been said next.

We receive calls from the number several times a day. Of we don't answer, no message is left. If we do answer, no one is on the other end.

Calls several times a day and will not answer when I say hello. Never leaves message. Will not stop calling even though I have asked them several times to take me off their list. This only started happening when I asked them to stop calling me. It is harassment and they should be stopped. I believe it is the National Renewable Energy Company.

If you have an ATT landline, try dialing *60 as soon as your call with these guys ends, and then follow the instructions for activating call blocking and adding the last call to your list.

I want this caller to stop calling my number immediately. This incoming call shows up as a Petaluma, CA. number.

This F ing solar company has called our house a total of 65 times. I am serious - 65 times, often twice a day.

I have written down every time they call since April 29 2013.

This number keeps calling my elderly mother.  When I answer and say, "Hello? Hello?,"  no one says anything on the other end.   Grrrrrrrrrrr..

the do not call list dont mean s***. the fine is supposed to be $16000 per violation per day. the only company that was fined was the at&t regime. they were fined a paltry $780000 for spamming millions of people with unwanted calls. the at&t spamming continues to this day. the fcc is so corrupt that it is bought and sold by the telecommunications industry

this caller has been told many times to stop calling me and they won't. the number is 707-238-4098 I just got another call last night around 8:00 PM, really this has to stop. thank goodness for caller ID, I won't answer a call from this number anymore because they don't understand NO

These people are relentless! According to my caller ID, they have called me 15 times in the past 4 days. Usually I just let the machine get it, but they called 10 minutes ago; I went on a screaming fit and yelled at the guy to stop calling this number. Not 3 minutes later they called again................ B*stards.

I'm furious about the number of calls we are receiving on two phone lines from so-called National Renewable Energy Center.  They've been using Sonoma County number 238-4418.  The phone woke me up before 8 am this morning.  The woman, identifying herself as Lauren, hung up on me.  In the afternoon she called the other line and I pretended to be very elderly and she nicely explained how she could send someone to the house to talk about solar and that PG&E is raising its rates 25%.  I called PG&E and they confirm that claim is bogus.  The frustrating thing is there seems to be nowhere to turn except gripe to others suffering the same abuse.

I reported this number today and filed a complaint at the donotcall.gov website for this number and also for 707-238-4418   I also have a loud whistle sitting by the phone

If you are expecting it to block your unwanted calls,   it aint gonna happen.  How do you expect a "List" of names  to know exactly what calls are acceptable to you and which aren't?    It is just a "LIST"!      Not a mega computer or army of Professionals that monitors the over 500 millions telephones in the USA,  and screens each and every one of the over 1 billion calls made to and from those phones. Go to the FTC/DNC site and read how it functions before condemning what you obviously know nothing about.
