Caller id said "Out of Area" and phone rang until message machine picked up.  No message left.

This is not a survey from PG&E after receiving a service! I have not had any services done with them and this number is calling. Durung the week, another area code 707 number calls. What kind of a chicken feces company is afraid to display their (real) caller ID?

PGE survey after receiving services from a PGE field rep. Problem is, it leaves a voice message asking you to 'Press 1' if you are willing to answer questions, but you cannot "press 1" through a voice message. It is not a very smart system. I hope they stop calling soon.

The most effective solution to our problem is to purchase a "call blocking" telephone.  I own a Uniden call blocking phone.  When the pesky caller calls, one push of a button and the caller is blocked! However, the only issue is that the Uniden phone blocks a maximum of 20 phone numbers.  And, some of these telemarketers and bill collectors use multiple telephone numbers.

I disagree with "Jack Shitte's" statement that these phones block "private," Out of Area," and "unknown" caller IDs. If your caller ID does not show a telephone number then it will not block the caller.

Fact 1 - The DNC list CLEARLY does not work, everyone should knows this by know!
Fact 2 - Filing a complaint with the FCC does not work, a total waste of time; done that.
Fact 3 - Having an unlisted phone will not help you.
Fact 4 - Asking/begging telemarketers to take you off their call list does not work!
Fact 5 - No "class action" suits are filed and certainly, this is not a remedy.   Many of these telemarketers are in other countries and out of the jurisdiction of the USA.
Fact 6 ?Complaining to the BBB is a corrupt organization that sells their ratings to the highest bidder.

Uniden and Panasonic make CALL BLOCKING telephones.  They?re cheap - $40-$60 and they usually come with a 2nd wireless handset, and they work beautifully!  These phones also block ?PRIVATE?, ?OUT OF AREA? and "UNKNOWN" calls!!!

Called twice and didn't leave a message

The caller is a scammer any way you look at it. According to another phone number lookup site, the phone number is a cell phone through Cellco Partnership. The poster above me said that the caller ID named showed up as "Cellular Call". What legit company makes mass calls using a cell phone? If the number on Caller ID is out of service then it raises even more red flags. The scammers use a number spoofing service which fakes the Caller ID into looking like another name or number. If you're thinking about applying for the PG&E CARE progam, just contact PG&E directly through the number on your bill!

Why does PG&E not display it's Caller ID? Mine caller ID said Cellular Call. And wouldn't they leave a message? Something  just doesn't set right with this.

Got the same call. Pre-recorded messages are more annoying than a real person annoying me when I did not order anything.. The pre-recorded call ended abruptly by me....!

Answer machine picked up, no msg left.

They say they're pg&e calling for pre-qualification into the CARE program.  They want to see if you "qualify" over the phone, but it's a pre-recorded message and all options lead to you giving them your personal information.  Don't know if its real, or if it's a scam, but I'd never give anyone my personal info from a call that I didn't initiate.
