A debt collector calling asking for Eva something, I couldn't understand what the robot was saying. I've never heard of this person, so they said they would take this number off their list.

Called 6/5/13 1:21pm Central. Robocall debt collector. My given name is Jennifer. I've always hated "Jenny". I've never filled out any official paperwork (credit card application, employment application, etc), much less casual correspondence, with that name. Robocaller was looking for "Jenny Davis (my maiden name)". Robocall followed the typical script of "If you are not Jenny Davis, please pick up and tell us, if you are Jenny Davis, keep listening to this msg". I didn't pick up, because I've had a similar experience in the past. Caller wanted to argue with me and accuse me of "lying" about my name. I'd rather just have them keep calling, and ignore it, than try to repeatedly explain that I'm not who they're looking for. The problem with these boilerplate operations is that they've decided that once you answer, you're on the hook, whether or not you're actually the person they want.
