There is no Presidio Hotel, but there is a company called Presidio Hotel Management Services based out of Fairfield, CA. I don't know why people are getting phone calls from this number but the company itself manages quite a few hotels and I doubt they run phone scams or work for the FBI. There must be a glitch with the phone provider.

I received a call from this number(3 of which showed up as unknown and the other just said from California) and they told me they were from California and that it was the publishers clearing house and they wanted to ask me some questions(such as where I worked). When I told them no and hung up he called again and then put his "manager" on the phone who proceded to ask me how many childred I had and if I believed in GOD like he did and that he would pray  for me. I asked them again to quit calling. They then called again, by now this is the 4 th time and I told them that if they did not stop harrassing me I would call the police.He then said that he was from the FBI and proceded to swear (such as using the f bomb) at me at which point I hung up and so far they have not called back. When I google it the # shows up as Presidio Hotel.

This number also showed up on my caller Id, also from Presido Hotel.  Maybe a phising scam?  Or trying to access your number to make calls from your number?
We did not answer and they left no message

Oh, after hesitation, pure curiosity got the best of me and I called it back. It was an answering service for something that they didn't give the name. Just a directory with names and extensions. . .Would have pressed an extension number, but I have heard of scams like this where they can then make phone calls charging your land line for it. . . Still a little worried.

My Mom was trying to call my house phone from a cell phone and was having a lot of connection issues. She said she had full bars but kept loosing connection. She continued to call back and one time she did, the number came up as CALIFORNIA 707-429-6000. I did not answer and my answering machine picked up, no message was left. However my Mom said that it just rang and rang, never going to the answering machine. Her call was placed the same time I recieved it. A little alarming with the other posts. . .Is it a hack or scam? Should I be worried??

yea I been reciving phone calls from thos number for a while now and we were thinking it was our friends number until all kinds off differnt people been calling from the same number.....i have called it back and they answer presidio hotel....I think my phone may be tapped.....I dont know

I am so confused with this number. the last  few days we have had weird things going on with the phones at work. They are landline and when I call another branch or my own personal house it is showing this Presisio Hotel and the number 707-429-6000 on the caller ID i am calling into.. I am calling from a 928 area code...How is this happening??? Have my lines been tapped or hacked??  STRANGE!!!!!!

Also I do know that in this area is a Big Air Force Base. My Niece was in the Air Force there. Still Strange Though.

I also got  2 calls from this number. I have two phone line and when it called my first phone line I waited a minute to answer because I was wonder what area code is this I know it  looked familiar and when I remember I answered it but got a dial tone. later my second phone line rang and it was this same number this time I didn't answer it. I looked it up and found out all this info on the number found it was in CA. and then was like oh I knew the area code look familiar because my niece lives in CA with this same area code. She lives in Vacaville Ca.  sent her a text but haven't receive a message back yet. Very strange. I know my caller ID said Presidio Hotel 707-429-6000.

Current army dude who also discovered my PID was compromised aboit a year ago. Tonight got a call from 707-429-6000 Presidio Hotel

1/24/11 at 7:57pm - Just got a call from PRESIDIO HOTEL 707-429-6000 and since I don't know anyone in that area code, I answered, but stayed quiet. The person saying hello sounded like my father-in-law who lives in my same area code, but since I wasn't sure I hung up. Two seconds later, the phone rang again and this time it said UNKNOWN CALLER and I answered I was pretty sure it was my father-in-law, but I hung up anyway. He then called the cellphone and we were able to confirm that it was him calling. For some strange reason it showed up as this weird number & when I looked it up online I realized others are having similar issues. Glad to know I'm not the only one!

I'm in Iowa and got a call from this 707-429-6000 on 01/21 at 8:09pm. There was no message, the number just showed up as Presidio Hotel.

we got one yesterday, caller id:'california,' today,'presidio motel,' and this phone #. no msg on answering machine.  I think it's Skynet! 'The Singularity' is beginning?

I live in Germany on a military base and when I call my sister in Kentucky, it says Presidio Hotel is calling her with the same number as above. I told her that I knew my number wouldn't show up since i was overseas but it's weird that this one does.

I'm on a no cll list but on Jan 19, 2011 at 7:56 pm I received a call from this number and they calim to be with medicare. I told the man that was not a medicare number.

Today it was from a Las Vegas Vacations person.  I hung up quickly, so don't know what he wanted.  He knew my name.

Got the call while I was away. No message and didn't try calling back. Googling the number shows the Presidio Hotel Group, LLC in Fairfield California. I have absolutely no connection to them or California as I live in New York. Weird to get a random call like this.

I live in Chickamauga GA and I to just got a call from this same number the caller ID said that is was presidio hotel I said hello a few times but got no answer then it just went to a dail tone.

I just received 3 unknown calls with seconds of each other...the first had BLOCKED as the caller ID. The second had the numbers 3-401-7458.  The third call had Presidio Hotel and the number 707-429-6000. All 3 callers said nothing, though I repeatedly said hello.  Strange...

7;30 this  evening first call was from a blocked number. Ten minutes later number 707-429-6000 burned the phone up calling several times within just a few minutes.Do not know anyone from 707 area code.Then  I found this junk on here about the calls. Strange.

teresa, your boyfriend isn't having an affair, unless his mistress is calling my 80year old grandmother lol. yeha, this number called today, didn't say who they were and left a strange cryptic message on my grandmother answering machine... i tried calling back and there's nobody on the other end, just a Bunch of various answering options

I called my boyfriend from my cellphone tonight and when it hit his phone it stated that I was calling from 707-429-6000 Presidio Hotel. Needless to say he was not happy. He asked me if I was at a hotel. I explained to him I was not at a hotel and I was simply calling from my cellphone. When I hung up and called back he said the number was blocked. I called back again it changed to a 517 number or something. I ended up calling him from my house phone so he knew I was not at a hotel (Thank God for a house phone) Not sure what is up with this phone number or whatever but something is fishy about this number!!!! Thankfully the post above I read to him about the young lady calling her step dad.

Got a call from this number on Januray 18, 2011 at 1:21 p.m. CST
The caller ID read:  CALIFORNIA

I picked it up and some recording was already playing saying something about financial things and kept repeating 'Press 9'  and I hung up.

I think this number is connected with 415-880-5599 somehow. Now that I think about it that number had called yesterday and there was a message on the machine that said 'press 9' so it was probably the same thing. ?? That number also showed SAN FRAN CA on the caller ID.

I am having the same issues when calling from my Sprint cell phone to land lines in my local area in Virginia.  At first we just thought it was a fluke in the land line, but now after having this happen for almost a month we figured we'd check into a little bit further and this is what we found.  Because this seems to happen when calls are placed from cell phones, I am curious as to whether this is an issue with Sprint.  I am retired military and recently received notification that my info was compromised and am wondering if that could be a common factor as well.  Also, there is a long delay before connecting and the ringer is unusual.  Something sounds very fishy to me.

I see that we, in Ohio, also received a call on 1/7/11---I wasn't available to answer the phone because my father had just passed away, but caller ID made me wonder who it was. I thought a traveling friend called, but is seems that there is no Presdio Hotel, though there is a Motel. This is all pretty weird. . .

I just got a call from same number with a message from our school's automated system telling us there is a 2 hour delay tomorrow.... Weird since we live in Iowa.

i recieved a call from the presidio hotel (707) 429-6000 this afternoon,when i answered it,it was my step dad. i asked him if he was calling me from a hotel and explained to him the # that came up. we hung up and he called me back and it was his #. so very strange.  afterwards i decided to look it up and what i have found is startling. i am very concerned about this. are these people being investigated yet??

Our school has an automated calling center fro delay cancelations etc and when I got my call for no school last night this is the number that showed up and I live in Ohio
