same thing

Had the same guy/call first thing this morning.  Once he opened his mouth about being with a law firm, I yelled at him & hung up.  The idiot called me right back and asked me why I hung up on him.  That's when the crap hit the fan!  I screamed so loud that I hope I broke his eardrum!  I told him he was a piece of #$@# calling because he got my number from some Payday thing and that he was a total scam and that I would report him to the police if he called me again.  Not that the police can do anything as these guys usually use throw away phones.  I think that I'm going to buy an air horn for the next time that he calls.

i got a call from this number but i didnt give time to tell me anything. i told them not to call me anymore, and then i started calling them and they start hanging up in my face they choose the wrong one to try to scam.

The guy with the Indian accent called me three times this morning on a phone that I never ever answer. He left a message that matches what others have described here, which ended in "good luck if you dont' call back".

ive gotten a call from this number today from a guy with a thick indian accent ant he claimed there was a legal claim against my ssn# which i know isnt true and i want to know how to turn them in because if they truely have my ssn# they are going to be in alot of trouble also got a the same call from a new york number today

I get the same calls as others from this person with a very thick accent telling me it is urgent that I call the very second I receive the message or have my retained attorney call and "if you do not, I can only wish you good luck."  I have no idea what this is about but I'm seeing it's likely a scam.

i got a call form this guy who's name i couldnt understand 3 x..the first call he said i had a case against my social security number and name on 3/19/2012 i told him no way and hu.....this morning i decided to go ahead and take the call.  he informed me that i had took out a payday loan in the amount of 3500.00..i never took out a loan before he started calling me and i never recieved any money now i did apply and got over 500 offers for loans but only took the loan i could pay back on 3/23/2012 in the amount of 200.00.  and my payment isnt due till april 13th .  anyway he went on to tell me that i did internet fraud and defrauded the bank when they tried to recover the payment he went on to say i would be arrested at my job in 2 hours or at home by the police department in my city he told me i had 3 counts against me and not to show up to court without my attorney. when i started quoting him the fdcpa laws he hu...

I got a call today from these people. GUESS WHAT!!!!!! This is a SCAM. The FTC has been after these people for more than three years. They called me from a 305 514 0441 number at first. The first call scare the mess out of me. But the Maryland States attorney told me that you cant be arrested just because someone says its fraud. They have to have proof the same proof they should tell you over the phone. Also if you where to charges filed it would be in your states judicary database. And you would get notified by process server. They wouldn't serve you and arrest you unless it was a criminal case, and failure to repay a loan isnt until they are sure that you are knowingly defrauding people. However, do not go online and give out your information because that is how they are finding you, also call the FTC in washington and report this.

Once again this idiot has called me on my cell phone. I didn't even bother to call back. I just blocked the number and any numbers they have on my phone.

I downloaded a app on my phone called NQ Mobile Manager.  It allows you to block phone calls as well as text messages.

I agree with you about the class action suit, they are calling me at work and harrasing me and i work for the federal government

I got a call from them today at work and he got mad at me and hung up and all that they told you the said the same thing to me.

I recieved a call from this number at work and they insisted that I call them or have my attorney and  ask for a Mr. Cooper or a Mr. Rice.  When I called back they had my SSN and threatened me with being arrested and with a warrent out for my arrest.  The said that i a had a court hearing for 12 that day and that the police were going to come arrest me at 10.  He also informed me that i had taken a payday loan out in December of 2011.  When I told him that I had not he got mad and told me about being arrested.  He even hung the phone up on me.

THIS GUY NAMES JACK, WHO CAN BARLEY SPEAK ENGLISH, KEEPS LEAVING ME MESSAGES ON MY WORK AND CELL PHONE SAYING ITS VERY TIME SENSITIVE AND I BETTER CALL BACK OR HAVE MY RETAINED ATTORNEY CALL BACK..... A 30 SECOND MESSAGE TOOK HIM 2 MINUTES TO SAY .... ITS NOTHING BUT A SCAM .... I TOLD THEM TO PUT ME ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST ... BUT THEY KEEP ON CALLING .... LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, i received a call from 707 513 1085 as well. Yes, the Indian guy had a severe accent and I couldn't quite understand the message so that's what made me concerned. I called the # back and spoke to a severe Indian character that I couldn't understand at ALL! He stated I had 3 criminal charges against me and I need to take care of this ASAP. BTW, His name was DAVID COOPER. He couldn't relay the charges over the phone (I don't know why). I couldn't understand him much so He hung up. I received another call from a 305 735 7250 regarding the same thing and I asked for their Business License and Firm Name.  He only gave me the Firm name which is JOSEPH & JACKSON but no BL info. Then I received another call from a private #, and mind you now this person is a little irritated because I could not understand him, by now I contacted my Lawyer and they've contacted Him. Still at this time I never got any information in regards to the charges against me. I received another call from 718 210 9743. By this time the Rep's name was KEVIN JONES. Mind you these # are ALL from different states. My Lawyer and Kevin got in a shouting match because Kevin would not relay any information with these charge nor send a fax of these accusations. My Lawyer stated if someone is trying to collect a debt (1) there not supposed to harass you (2) The debt collector is supposed to send you a letter 1st. The private investigator in my Lawyers office even stated it was a scam according to their research. KEVIN JONES kept harassing my Lawyers office, My Workplace, My Mobile Phone. My Lawyer let them know if they don't stop I will call the Sheriff's office.  I already did and I'm just waiting to see what happens.
I haven't heard back from them yet.

I just got the same call today.  My husband called the guy back and he hung up on him.  Thinking about taking my phone to the cops and see if they want to check this out.  The guy accused me of fraudently taking a loan out that I have not done and that I would be arrested and to tell it to the judge.  I have bank statements to prove I have not put money in.  He said that I had put it in my bank account.  Had me so mad I left orchestra practice.  We need to stop these people now!!!!

This guy has called me so many times I can't take it, he keeps threatning to have the police arrest me and ship me off to California, which I have always wanted to see!! :'). He claims it is illegal to take a pay day loan out in wisconsin, which I have not, and he demands I give him my account info because the company was denied payment!! LOL. I told him to send law enforcement and I will take my chances!!  This caller is a total scam artist that use scare techniques to get your info... Tell him to back to the sand dunes where he is from!!!

We received a phone call from him today.He talked about a payday loan. My daughters friend thought it was real and gave her social security number. I called him back and he used some very unfriendly language toward me. I did advise him that I was contacting the authorities and I advised my daughters friend to contact all major credit report agencies...I hope they catch him....

Oh yeah, and my guys name was David Cooper also!

I received a call from this number Friday night the 16th, asking if I had a lawyer, I was being sued for thief; check fraud and a few other things that a warrant was issued, my job contacted, and I would be picked up by 5:30 pm held and transporated to California for processing - on Saturday the same things back and forth, I was really getting upset - until my sister had me check out the number and found out it was a scam - they are foreigners reading from a script thats why they asked that you not interrupt them, very nasty after awhile, after finally just saying when they mentioned what time they were picking me up to arrest me, I politely said, "See you when I see you" - I think this is horrible what they are putting some folks through -

I got a call from this number on my cell & from companion #707-513-1084. Both are the same person with a very heavy Jamaican accent. I don't know what the heck she/he was saying, but the call came in at 6AM. Also, when I hit the call back function on my phone for the 1084 number I got an automated message that it was a call to a "correctional facility" & it wasn't allowed to receive incoming calls on that number. What I did understand of the message they left was that I think they are trying to act like a Debt Collector.

I had received a advance loan over the internet and with 30 days I paid it back. I got a called from a John Walters, Indian accent, stating they he was informing me of a lawsuit against me but would not give details about it. Called back the same day and no one answered or i got a machine saying that they could not take the call. Got a call the next day and it was the same guy, John Walters.I had so I called back again and this time I talked to some guy name David Cooper who identified himself as an attorney, he had all my information and I confronted him if this had to do with some kind of advance pay loan (since i have seen this post). He denied it but then had the nerve to say that I have not paid back on some cash advance loan. I straight out told him that he was mistaken and that a loan I had received was paid for and I had proof. He just said thank you and hanged up. What the heck!...thanks for the post ppl it really helped me identify this call as fraud.

I got the same call over 10 times & he actually had me scared & I suffer from high anxiety. These people are sick & they deserve to be caught.

This number keeps calling threatin me for something I never done in a county I never been in.there telling me I have a warrent.for some loan.I.never revived.

Just received a call from a guy with a heavy accent, said his name was Walter..said I have a lawsuit against me and needed my attorney name and number..told him I had no idea what he was talking about and he acted like he was upset that I had not been contacted about this lawsuit and that he would urgently tell them that I was not aware and not to do anything yet because they were going to come to my place of employment and my home..told me to call this number and ask for David Cooper or Nathan Rice....I wrote down the number so I could look it up, then noticed the caller ID from where he was calling from was the exact number he had just given me..said he was in the paralegal department and didnt know anything about my lawsuit, that I would have to contact the attorney for that information..unbelievable how stupid these scams are getting...glad I googled it!

This guy called both of my cells phones, he calls every month, I don't pick up my cells to take the call, I even reportted to the police. This guy tells me that I need to pay him back the three thousands dollars

These idiots keep calling me too...on my cell. I even did a greeting stating I am an investigator and it did NO good. Where can we call to report them? We did to get a class action lawsuit going. My situation is just like everyone elses.

The guy said he was an attorney calling to inform me that I have 3 criminal felony charges against me for non-payment of a loan and needs my banking account information in order to avoid having a subpoena served to me to continue legal proceedings.  I told him I knew it was a scam and to take my number off their list.
