They may be with what is called a debt buying company. They operate on a Voip line so the lines change. All I can say is get the so called debt in writing before you pay. I spoke with the FTC and an attorney and they both tell me not to pay until you see if this is legit.

All we can do is complain to the FTC and your state attorney general. Just disregard them and it's not a good idea to get engaged in any conversation, no matter how threatening they are. All they can do is sue for the money, so insted they will scare you to try.

I got a call from him today, he threatened me and told me that for a bill of 492 if I dont pay on the phone right then that I was going to be sent to the attorney and the police will be at my job tommorrow to pick me up tomorrow and arrest me.  He was rude, yelling at me, cutting me off.

I have received callings from 9 different numbers claiming that I owe on a payday loan and if I dont pay I will be arrested and lose my job. Just like you all have said, calling my home isnt as bad as when they call your job - thank goodness I have a great office staff who just says contact him at home.  Here are the numbers and names to warn you all:

They have been calling me back to back all morning, so far 10 calls, I've answered most of them and told them they can send the police to arrest me and that'll be okay. He then told me I was acting like a child and I seem like I'm not scared of the police. Well after hanging up and ignoring his call about 3 more times, I answered and he said you have a sweet voice and i just want to talk to you. At that time he started asking me if I had a personal phone he could call me on or a chat page so that we could talk. This c*** is ridiculous. Eventually they will stop calling.

i also spoke with Brian L. he said my girlfriend had cases against her and that there is a warrant for her arrest and thats as far as i let him go. my girlfriend hasn't ever been in trouble and we've never done a payday loan so i knew he was full of $hit.  but he still keeps calling my house and my girlfriends jobs leaving threatening messages so now i keep calling him maybe he'll get the hint.   LMAO

i have been receiving calls from this number and others.  YES it is a scam.  I too spole with a Bryan Lincoln, and he was able to bilk me out of almost $500 dollars, because he was going to send police to arrest my husband on an outstanding payday loan debt.  Yes, we have a payday loan out, and i thought(being scared out of my wits) that they had not honored the repayment agreement, that this was legit.  Stupid me, it is NOT.  Working on getting they prepaid card matter settled. don't know if we will see that money again.  Ever since then I have been getting over 10 calls a day from them and other SCAMMERS trying to get more money out of me.  They have gotten me so nerved racked that I have it in my head that the police will be at my door to arrest me or my husband.  I try to tell myself that things will be ok, but i am still very nervous and at my wits end.  I have gotten most of the numbers blocked, but they come up with other numbers and still leaving threatening messages.  I even spoke with another scammer, and called them out and her proceeded to use very foul language at me.  These men speak with INDIAN accents and are very rude.  I have also had one from an african american man, with no accent.  he's a scammer too.  I am living on pins and needles everyday.  I wish they would stop.  Please God help me and all the other people that these ingrates are bothering.  May God have mercy on their souls, he will be their final judge!!!!

Just got back to back calls on my cell phone and work phone.  First was from a woman with an accent so strong I could not understand her message.  Second was from "Attorney Alex William" claiming 3 legal actions against me.  Both were extremely rude, would not allow me to question who they were an were obviously a scam.

They keep calling me, i told him to stop- numerous times and he told me to calm down- like shouldnt u calm down? ur the one thats harassing me!!

ha ha ha i just called these middle eastern idiots and told him i was contacting my attorney generals office and he got pissed and said "do not call here again". funny he said that when a week ago i was gonna be arrested within three hours and be drug in the police department and behind the bars for 2 and a half years. stupid idiots

I got a call today and the woman said i having pending chatges against me and that i need to speak to an officer in regarding this matter. i TOLD WY ISNT THE OFFICER IF ITS SO IMPORTANT, SHE SAID IM NOT SURE MAAM..I HUNG UP!!

An accented man said he was from ICP, regular idiot. I asked what is this about and wouldnt tell me so i hung up.

The exact same thing happened to me!!, he will not stop calling me on my cell and work. I have closed bank accts and filled out police reports. He called this week saying I was a witness in a murder trial 911 showed up on the call waiting Brian from ca!!

I was told that I owed for an outstanding loan in the amount of$323.00, and Brian Lincoln was an attorney in California, calling to settle. Well of course I got on the phone with the bank and found out what I already knew, it was a scam! Then 5 minutes after our heated conversation my caller ID displayed "911". This man told me he was from the sheriffs department in California, calling on behalf of Mr. Lincoln. I told him my bank was going to verify that this was fraud, and told him not to call me or I would press herrassment charges on him as well. I have been called from the sheriffs office before and know the caller ID displays either private or restricted.
