Received multiple calls from 707-668-6861 from Blue Lake California. They say I won from taking an on-line survey of a $100 gift certificate from Best Buy, $50 from Walmart and then a smaller amount from a place I have never heard of. They want you to go to your computer and log into their website to verify the information. Not a chance! I tell them I am not interested but they continue to call one or two times a day.

I got 2 calls from this number-- missed the first one and answered the second, no response and the caller hung up. What creeps me out is that I was at the same place both times they called and I don't usually go there.

received call from this number did not answer but from information here it must be either reader digest or one of the other publications they are involved with or better home and garden, should we complain directly and cancel subscriptions because they have provided contact information to a third party

We keep getting several phone calls from 707-668-9861 each day. They never leave a message. There have been a few times that we've been home to answer and no-one will talk to us. When I call that number back it is always busy. How can we get them to stop calling?

I have been receiving phone calls from this number that is highly suspicious. They appear to be phishing for information. They call at least 2 times every day, ranging from 8 am to 8:44 pm. The more I answer, the more they call. Probable phishing scam - do NOT give your personal information!! Report it to national do not call list, and e-mailed abuse@level3.com to file a complaint.

Have been getting at least one or two calls a day from this number for over a month and a half!!
I never answer, you'd think they would have figured out by now that I'm not going to answer and they should quit trying.

By the way, while the Caller Id said, Blue Lake, CA -- the guy on the phone said he was in Colorado.

I wrote to the magazine they say they represent. I am sure those companies do not want the bad press or problems.

Multipe times -- as many as 50 in past couple weeks trying to sell me magazines. They refuse, or hand up when I try to get de-listed.

These idiots call at least 3 times a day. They say they are from Newsweek Magazine. Number shows up as from Vascarda, CA. I am on the DNC registry. When I start to tell them to remove me from their list, they hang up. If I yell, they hang up. If I say no, they hang up. They always call back within hours. HELP!

If the Magazine they reference is Sailing World, the owner of Sailing world is Bonnier Corp in Florida. 407-628-4802. I asked them to stop the calls.

I got call from 17076689861 third time today. Its regarding renew of NEWSWEEK subscription. I told them that I am not interested but still they keep calling. When I asked how do they came to know my number, the operator told that this number popped at their screen.
It is disturbing me a lot, anybody please advise how to stop receiving call from 17076689861.
Thanks

I used to live 10 miles from where this call originates...@ first I thought it was someone I knew. Over the last year , due to the increase of this type of call, I signed up for the "Do Not Call" list.It seems that not all callers abide by those rules. Eventually, I set the ringer to 2 rings , before it goes to msg. That seemed to
deter most calls.
I also set it up so I can see caller ID on the tv screen......I no longer dash for the phone to answer unwanted calls...and all my friends know to leave a msg, so it works for us......

Every time I get a call from them about NY Magazine I call customer service (New York Magazine) about the call.
I tell them these people are calling on your behalf. When I get a call, you get a call.
They harass me/ I harass you.
Maybe they will get tired of it and do something.

I get the calls several times a day. It is so annoying. I'm going to get a whistle and blow out their eardrum next time they call..

I constantly get calls from this number about renewing a magazine I don't even take: 707-668-9861. I have asked them repeatedly not to call. I'm disabled and it's hard to reach the phone. I'm on a Do Not Call list. This has gone on for months. I hope you can investigate. Thank you.

calls 3 times per day, and now caller ID list "private number" same people, with a "special discount" for magazine renewal. Bought magazine thru high school student to help pay for school trip. Never again will I buy a subscription from anyone. I am on the do not call list, and just now submitted name again on the do not call list. You can submit a complaint to your state, which I will if they call again, and will tell them that I have, or give the phone to my barking dog!!!
| IWANNAKNOW 2012-08-29 17:26:51 Unknown |
call the Do Not Call registry. It's a federal list where you enter your ph #'s for blocking purposes. Good luck.

Is this possibly a problem with debts owed? Our daughter and son-in-law got into heavy debt trouble and I'm wondering if they gave our number to duck the calls...They were from Arcata, but are now living in the central valley ca.
| Sherry B 2012-08-28 17:55:30 Unknown |
they keep calling. I don't answer.

Don't know where these folks are, but it is certainly NOT Blue Lake, CA as the caller ID says. I have placed numerous complaints with the DNC complaint section, but it doesn't seem to matter. I believe that they skirt the whole DNC thing by using ROBOTS to dial, but then going to a live line when the call is picked up (either by a person or by voicemail). Technically, DNC considers that to be a "human" dialed call and thus NOT able to be blocked.
