The DNC only protects from the honest business's.  And its for telemarketers, charity's, Political and some survey's are exempt.  Most of the honest ones will remove you and put you on a internal DNC when asked. Otherwise, you need to contact the Political Parties directly and tell them DNC and they will remove you, and you can sign up for the political DNC (this works pretty well really)  http://stoppoliticalcalls.org/index.php  Then when one does call, you simply go directly to their web site (most have them) and email them a DNC letter, I included the url for the political DNC for the one I have had over the last 12 years or so and told him to use it! :)

So that only leaves the illegal Telemarketers, scammers, extortion scammers, fake Windows support scam and frauds.. and those people do not obey laws period!  Some of those are in foreign country's and thats a whole new puddle of red tape, but it does happen that they get caught.. And the scammers caught in the US get the go to jail card and heavy fines on the illegal telemarketers.

Offering energy savings via new roof, solar, water heater....  you name it...

Probably a scam, as it is listed as "Out of Area" with a local area code.  "Press 0 to stop receiving these calls"

Yeah, right.

More calls from this number picked up on my caller ID. My call blocker does not allow them to ring thru.

Recorded message from some guy on a speaker phone about solar rebates.  If you use their "press 2 to no longer receive calls from us" just makes them call more and tells them they have a legitimate phone number.  They then sell their legitimate number list to other scammers.  That's how they actually make their money...by selling your information.  

The "Do Not Call" list is a joke!  I get more robocalls or solicitation calls now than I ever did before the DNC list.  If the government can't even get these robocallers to stop...just wait until the "affordable" care law goes into full effect!

Robo call, "Public utility savings program" offering an energy audit.

I get these calls 2-3 times a week they never say anything and don't hang up.

These are telemarketers.  Do not return their call, if you do then they will continue to bug you by calling often.

Thios people are persistent if nothing else. They call the house at least once a week advertising some sort of alternative energy program,and all there is is a recorded message. I find it rude that this is not even a personal call, just one more nuisance.
