Wow, sad to say that my roommate has been in email correspondence with this girl for the past few days in the West Sacramento Area.
She had the email address britthawk12@gmail.com, and claims that her father is sending money to our address sometime this week.

Really wish my roommate had told me earlier that she had gotten an email back, I  would have told her to check this website. This morning my roommate sent me this message, and I knew instantly it was a scam!!

Got this email today from craigslist. It's almost identical. Story sounds too legit to be true. Sketchy.

I guess I got caught up in the scam. renting a room in Florida and this Zeina Pack contacted me and I responded. she sent me her email through text message as " Brittany Hawkins" at  britthawk12@gmail.com with this phone  number 937-369-0480. She said she was coming from Guam to do her masters and wanted more info about the room. I was emailing her the info tonight,when something told me to Google the name ,and thank God I did. I find you all .Thank you  all very much.

I was stupid enough to put in my real name and address, and now I have a check from her for $3250. What do you guys suggest I do? Burn the check and ignore her completely?

Definitely some sort of scam except now she is e-mailing job offers in response to resumes she finds online. Wants a return e-mail and text to a Cali phone. Crazy stuff. Strange thing is I can't figure out what the gain could possibly be obtaining your e-mail addy and phone number. Any clues?

I just received the exact same email from this Zeina woman...felt sketchy. I'm renting a room in Michigan ... apparently she wants to live everywhere!

I googled her name as i am also renting a room (Virginia Beach, VA) and she gives an exotic story of having a French mother and and American father...i think she may be going by a different name also as this email parrots another except she says she's 22 and her father is her financier and she's here on research blah blah blah but glad to see this before i gave too much information. That is very true as matter of fact, she is "professional" live with people, so could be anywhere, similar to when finding jobs, we could not limit ourselves too much, in particular, the "real" job market is not so good.

Most of the spam emails sent by software programs, so they would the return email address by Crigslist. I usually do not respond to them.
