We've been getting these calls multiple times every day, from various numbers in the 707 area code, despite having answered several times and replied that we are not interested. I've never experienced such annoying robo-calling. It's getting to the point I won't answer calls from 707 at all.

. I am a Supervisor for a third party verifications company and know the ins and outs of the supplier services industry. A third party verification company verifies with you over the phone what the agent should have explained to you everything that you need to know. The third party is not affiliated to your utility or the supplier. This is done by law to make sure the customer fully understands what the discount program is offering to do for them and make sure the customer was not mislead in any way by the account agent setting them up with the discount on their utility bill and is recorded and can hold up in court. Energy Choice Center is simply a third party company informing you of the True facts consumers don't know about and what they are actually entitled too and helps you become educated about the FACTS and helping by setting you up with the most discounted (that means cheapest) supplier rates as there is more than one to choose from (by the way). many energy (energy means the gas and electric) consumers do not know they have the option and the right to choose a licensed supplier in their state (Deregulated.. uninformed people need to look up that word). This process does not effect who your utility is and you will just get one bill (like you always have) from your utility with your new discounted supply charges. What does the supplier get out of it?..you may be asking.. the supplier buys the gas or electricity when the Merchant exchange prices are at there lowest and in advance unlike many utility companies, this is how the supplier profits but the consumer  (You)  still benefits by being charged at a lower rate than their utility company rates. Check out the ESCO bill of rights; this will inform you what are your rights as an energy consumer in your state. you will be surprised of how many people are miss informed and/or just simply clueless on what their rights are as a citizen ans resident of their state. Not everyone is out to get you. Their is a lot of ignorance in this world. People need to be educated.

These bozos also swarm into neighborhoods, canvassing for unsuspecting senior citizens to get them to sign on the dotted line. They are short on full disclosure and legitimate information, and long on bogus, unsubstantiated promises.
SHUT THEM DOWN NOW!!!

I enrolled in their program as a PG&E customer. They seem to be agents for natural gas providers. The company they were acting as agent for, YEP Energy, is in fact listed at PG&E's web site as a Core Transport Agent as "North Star Gas Company LLC, d/b/a YEP Energy". The outcome of enrolling with them is supposed to be a reduction of up to 15% on the gas portion of the bill. They undertake to prove that the discount does actually occur over the next 36 billing cycles (3 years). I'll wait now to see what the effect is. Having looked at PG&E's list of CTAs, I would be interested to see if I called any of the other providers what they might be prepared to offer. I didn't have to provide any private information apart from my name and PG&E account number.

Its a rip-off. They quote you a gas price that is much cheaper than you pay PG&E. What they don't tell you is that PG&E still charges you for distribution and the result is actually higher prices.

We had a call from this number this afternoon.  They said we had received notification about this program last year with one of our PG&E bills.  I had not heard of the Core Energy Program to sign up for discount natural gas so we requested that they e-mail us while we checked them out.  We also had to hang up them to get them off the line - they wanted us to sign up immediately.  They list themselves as YEP Energy in their e-mail and instead of following their link to PG&E, I went to the PG&E website and typed in Core Energy.  I found the page that lists companies that are certified to be in this program and YEP Energy is NOT on the list, neither is Energy Choice Center, which is the company listed in the contact information in the signature.  They appear to be completely bogus.

I've never seen one of these scam artists that phone, write, or show up at your door EVER plan to save you money. Your multi-year, impossible to get out of, contract will destroy any short term savings they offer you. As they say, the devil is in the fine print, & these guys are specialists. Lets face it, if they spam an anti telemarketing web site, well, you get the idea.

Oh how cute, the shill is talking to itself.

You just want your victims to put their money in YOUR pocket, scum. This is a site to expose scams like yours, not a place for you to run them.

Now it's back to the boiler room with you. Thanks for playing.

Rock on Stephen. Until a couple hours ago, I had no idea as to the benefits there are to be had since deregulation. saving money is as good as making money. The less I put in the pocket of big business, the more I can put in mine.

You couldn't be more misinformed. This is a very legitimate program offered through PG&E, it is called the Core Gas Aggregation Program and it is designed to allow end-consumers (such as yourself) choose where your natural gas supply comes from, and in doing so receive lower rates for your gas supply. PG&E's supply rates are NOT set by the CPUC, their distribution rates are. The CPUC regulates when PG&E can buy your gas supply on the open market, and they must pass on their exact cost-of-gas to you, the consumer. Unfortunately this typically results in PG&E buying your supply in poor market conditions, and you end up paying more than you should. Independent supply companies can purchase their gas at anytime the please, which allows them to shop the open market and only purchase in optimal market conditions. When you enroll in this program through the Energy Choice Center you can rest assured that you will be partnered with the most competitive gas supplier in the PG&E territory. We are an energy consulting and marketing company, and we analyze all of the suppliers and programs you have available to you, and only work with those suppliers with proven track records of high customer savings.
Please feel free to follow this link to PG&E's own website, and read their explanation of their program in their own words. Make sure to read the FAQ's as well. Since you took the time to unnecessarily and inaccurately slander our operation online.. I hope you will take the same time to educate yourself on this very beneficial program, and when you're ready please call in, we would love to help you save on your gas bill!

They called and didn't leave a message.  We don't answer any calls and if they don't leave a message, we pass it off as a telemarketer.  If they're not interested in telling us who they are, we're not interested in what they have to sell.

Total scam.

These guys promised to lower my PG&E bill, even though gas and electric rates are set by the CPUC, a state agency, and I do not get my electricity from PG&E. These guys claim to be legitimate, but called me even though I am on the Do Not Call list. They have been seeding the Who Called Me lists with false "recommendations" from "customers". They wouldn't provide any real information, company name, or answer any questions about how a private company could reduce a government set utility rate. DO NOT FALL FOR IT!

This number belongs to a telemarketer. It's a total scam. They violate the "Do Not Call" list, but claim to be legitimate. Wouldn't provide company name, location or any real information. They've also been seeding the "who calls me lists" with false recommendations from "customers". DO NOT FALL FOR IT!

I have gotten a phone call from them at the number 815-401-4993 they told me to grab my electric bill since I was eligible for a discount. It sounded like a load of crap for sure but i  called ComEd and it turns out the caller was right and program is all through the utility. I was rude to the caller for no reason. Comed said they couldn?t enroll you in this program themselves and that you have to do it  with the third party that calls you
