He said his name was frank Wilson. And the whole wheelchair thing happened to me to. Called the police. Lets be more careful!

I received the exact same texts, from the exact same number and I am also from West Virginia. I thought I got lucky. She has my address, email and phone number but I did not give her my bank information. The emails were word for word with the others who posted her messages. Care.com needs to be notified and we all need to take our numbers and addresses off of our Care profiles.

everyone gets hired by the scam i havnt even been talking to them for ten minutes and I did, thats what made me look into the phone number. Never Everrr give out personal information and especially never give any bank account info

omg thank God I found this! i did sent her my address thought before i realized it was a scam and she said she was going to send me my first week check after i told her several times not too, and she insisted on having the chair and money mailed to me. what exactly can she do with my address?  the number is 646-439-4337. i'm freaking out!! has she gone forward with anything???

I am a member on Care.com and I received a text message today 8-15-2013, saying that she (Anne Lewis)needed someone to babysit her child. She wanted me to email her my resume and reference to annelewis007@gmail.com.  I also thought it was weird that her phone number was from New York (646-439-4337) when I am in West Virginia.  Plus I never applied to this person. I am so glad I looked up her phone number before sending my resume and personal info to her. Thanks everybody for speaking up and telling others about stupid scammers. :)

I answered a craigslist post about a babysitter in Asheville, NC.

I wrote a short response, and I think I sent a resume. . .so this leaves me confused. What does he want from my email/address/phone number? And he already has those from my resume. . .

Here's his follow-up message (from email "frank@latprit.com"):

Hey there, I too got a text message from a single mom named "Anne Lewis" stating she wanted me to watch her son and was going to send me money to pay for his wheel chair of around 2400 and a deposit of first weeks pay of $375. It is of course a scam but I didn't realize this until after I had sent her my resume, and billing address and set up a place to meet on July 14th 2013. This individual has definitely done their research as far as their background history they described to me of "Ann Lewis" and provided a photo of her and her son "Jason" on a motor bike. The number is from New York, NY which is where she said she was from. I am pasting on here the emails she sent to me. I'm sure it is all scripted and copy and pasted.

I recieved the same text and email. I sent my resume, and after she told me she was having the chair delivered to me, i told her I KNOW THIS WAS A SCAM AND ITS A SHAME YOU USING A CHILD FOR THIS. She needs to be stopped or whovever it is.

Got a text message from this number regarding interest in childcare from Care.com. I did send my resume and now that I'm reading this, I feel stupid! Made sure to take off my phone number and address for this very reason, though. The email address that I sent my resume to was annelewis007@gmail.com. I Googled the email address before I sent it and the only results that showed were from Care.com, so I didn't feel the need to Google the phone number. Wish I did!
