A person from this number and 202-905-0540, 202-506-9176 & 9178 Has scammed me out of, I'm very ashamed to say, $655.45. I needed a loan to pay off some bills and there you have it. Desperate times make people stupid!!!!I looked at the company on line and it looked legit.

Please end all calls

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

Per the FDCPA, you should not pay any caller who refuses to MAIL - do not accept email or fax - proof that you owe a debt and proof that they have the legal right to collect said debt.  Refusal to mail this documentation is a violation of the FDCPA.  More here on your rights and information on who to report these jokers to.

Follow the steps in what you need to know. A legitimate debt collector agency should not have a problem with giving you a real business name and address you can google and verify via google street view, BBB etc.

And folks should consider looking at maybe getting call blocking device or phone....you can Google them and many are around $60 or so.

I am receiving e-mails from these guys as well stating that I took a loan out from cash net usa which I never did. when I asked for documentation on this "loan" he refused to send me anything and threatened to get me fired from my job and take me to court. why would I pay for something that I have to information on? and what kind of "lawyer" refuses to send me the information? I would have to be really stupid to pay someone just because they told me to in an e-mail. if this guy keeps contacting me I am going to look into harassment charges.

Received a call at work from guy claiming to be law firm

This is a scammer, barely can speak English, wants you to pay him money via western union. I don't owe any money but he swore at me and said I had better pay him or he would have every one in my family raped.

I have received a call saying that the person (Bryan Daniels) is from the Online Federal Crime Inforcement and I am being charged with receiving a loan from Payday Cash Advance. He told me I should get an attorney or try to settle this matter out of court. The scary part is that he called me at work and had all of my private information. I don't know if this is a fake or not because in the last couple of weeks I have been getting a lot of crazy calls saying I have been approved for loans that I have not applied for. Can anyone shed some light on this subject?

I've gotten this same message and they are asking for someone named Annie Hunt.  I have never heard of this person but it is really annoying to keep getting calls.  Did you figure out how to make it stop?  Any help would be much appreciated.

This caller left a weird message on our machine claiming to be a law firm. He used words like, "as this situation unfolds," it is odd and alarming.
