They asked for my child's birthday before they would tell me why they were calling.  They would not say what kind of company.  I hung up.

This number calls my phone several times a day and leaves a message asking if I am .... and if not to hang up, if so to continue listening, then I usually hang up. I've attempted to call them and only get an automated message asking me to leave personal information for them to investigate my account and call me back .... What a joke !
Luckily I have an I phone and I have the option to block the # now.

keep getting call from ics while at work, keep filing voice mail. for some other steve but different last name. after I called back ask to be removed but still getting stupid voice mail all week long. finally got hold of live person today told them i'm not this person. They kept on fishing for birthdate, ssn. When ask for there rep # or invoice # so my ppo coordinator can call you they hanged up. I think they are scammer or telemarketer

Looking for my son. Would not tell me who is calling. I wasn't about to give her info on my son. he does not even with here. If this is a real collection, they need to work on their people skills. Rude lady who could stand a few English lessons. Makes me wonder about all that information that was just stolen from Advocate Hospital.

Why don't YOU read the comments here before saying something stupid and nasty without knowing what you're talking about? Most of the commenters have stated they owe NO bills and have NO debts, as such is the case for me. This is NOT a legitimate debt collector; it's a scam and that's why people are coming here to find out why this number is calling them. And if YOU are so high and mighty and don't have any debts, then why did you come here to research this number unless they called you too? I just don't understand why some people have to stick their noses where they don't belong. Shove your righteousness where the sun don't shine, sweety.

I have received multiple calls from (708) 229-7474 and (847)954-3847 asking for me and then immediately demanding that I give my date of birth.  They will only identify themself by first name and the company name "ICS.". When I tell them that I need to know the name and physical address of their company before I start giving out my personal information over the telephone, they refuse and continue to demand that I give them my personal information.  I normally ignore their calls because I know the same thing will happen if I do answer.  Today they called from a different number (708)229-7474.  Today I finally told them that I am reporting them to the Illinois Attorney General.

By the way, if they are in fact a debt collection agency, more than one call per day is a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, which is a Federal law.

When I don't pick up, they listen to entire message on answering machin...long enough Number of Calls blink..problem, they don't leave an a message.

I keep getting calls from this number; I normally just hang up but this time I decided to play the game; got a real person on the phone; she asked for the last two numbers of my social security; when I said tell me what it is about she said she could't unless I provided that information, i said have a nice day; bye

Collection agency for an unoaid ticket in Gurnee Illinois I recd a ticket in the great america parking lot. If not paid 250 in 15 days doubles 500 if after 30 days 1000 so now I owe 1000$. Dont ever use a expired handicap placard. I forgot to renew and used it in the parking lot they must really need money looking at Great America's parked cars.

A harassing ICS representative wanted to know personal information and would not state their business. I asked to speak with someone else and was disconnected. This happened multiple times. I spoke with Rebecca, Angela and others in the Tinely Park call center during normal business hours. All displayed various levels of incompetence; some more than others. Long conversations about nothing ending in disonnected call which appears part of the training of call center representatives and their supervisors. I only wanted to return a call and know the nature of their inquiry.

I don't know who these people are, but I want them to stop calling me, I am ill, in and out of hospital for heart disease complications.  Let them dun me about any unpaid bills, but let me alone now.  On top of that, they want me to give them my social security number to strangers I do not know or authorize to have personal info about me.

YES! Exactly.. Working in the medical field, I know that the reason they want you to verify the information FIRST is because they are not legally allowed to tell anyone anything EXCEPT for the patient in question. It's called HIPPA. The only way to really "verify" that you have the correct person is to verify the dob.

As to the people who are on this thread stating that they don't have any bills or anything, maybe they should actually speak to the representative that continues to call.

The most important thing I've learned working with the general public is that if YOU express courtesy, regardless of who is annoying who, you'll most likely get the same type of treatment on the phone. I truly don't believe collection agencies have a requirement to be friendly or courteous. They're not really out to impress anybody with their services ;)

They call be YOU owe a debt. Why do people get upset when debt collectors call you ... You're the one that did NOT pay your bill! They are so secretive because they don't want to let the entire world know you don't pay your bills!

I had a rep from ICS to call me requesting personal information from and had the ordacity to get upset because I would not provide her the info she wanted unless she clarified who she was.  ICS needs a class in professionalism.

These people are bunch a.....holes trying to scare people this economy does not allow you eat so how in the hell are you going to pay bills?

This number calls me daily asking for Douglas Noblet.  I don't know who he is and as far as I know he never had my phone number (I've had it for almost 20 years).  Every day, I punch the key that the automated system tells me to punch if this is not the right number for Douglas Noblet.  Every day, they call back.  Once spoke to a person and they asked for my name, address, and social security number, which I'm not stupid enough to give out over the phone!

They didn't even leave me a voicemail, but I recognized the number and called them back.  Angie the customer service, who clearly did not enjoy her job, answered my call and gave me some attitude from the begining.  She did not make herself and the purpose of the call to me.  She asked me when I could pay the money I owned.  I didn't even receive the actual bill at this moment!  She said ICS mailed me 2 days ago.  Even though I tried to talk nice to her, she kept some rude attitude.

I have received 4 calls from them today.  Dont't they ever stop the harassment.

This company calls my landline from different numbers all the time.My son and my husband have the same name and date of birth (only the year is different) When I ask which one they want to speak too the can only answer the 1 born in june. When I say the both were what year of birth are you looking for? They tell me that is private information. I get no where with these people so I usually end up hanging up. Today they called and hung up as soon as I answered.

We received a message from 708-229-7474. They first asked who I was, then asked immediately for my son's date of birth. I asked who was calling and why. They replied they could not answer further questions until my son's birth date was verified. I asked if I could check them out online. He replied 'yes'. I was already working on the computer, googled it as instructed by the representative and came up with numerous options. After stating this, I asked flat out WHICH website was their's so I could find out who I was speaking with. The 'representative' responded with 'I can't tell you until I have your son's birth date'. The circle of word games continued. I stated 'If this is a legitimate company, there should be no problem letting me know who I'm speaking with and why. I will NOT give personal information out to anyone I don't know'. THEIR RESPONSE??? After playing games with me, he hung up! WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE AND WHY WON'T THEY UNDERSTAND I'LL NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION ABOUT MY CHILDREN UNLESS I KNOW WHO I'M SPEAKING WITH! THEY'RE CRAZY!

i just called the number back. i told them to stop calling me everyday, and the lady says to me "i dont call you everyday"
i said, i looked this number up online and it came up as a huge spam number,
i said, well, ics does call me everyday. and if you guys dont stop harassing me....CLICK
she hung up on me.

When they call , tell them you can't hear them , they will turn up the volume , then blow a loud whistle or a loud radio into the phone .

Allmost the exact same thing happened to me. A call comes in asks for me , I ask who is calling she gives he name and asks my name again and i asked what co. this was and she said she would not tell me till i give her info  , and i said no Info till I know what co she with  and she got really nasty as I did and hung up and got 3 more calls that day

Don't know who these people are leave a message saying if you aren't so and so don't listen than there's a 3 second pause, then they say something else and give another 3 second pause.  

Was curious since I don't have any bad debt, of course I'm curious because of possibly identity theft.
Called back they give a choice of automated information, leaving a message or speaking to rep. Pressed speak to a rep 4 different times and they say to leave a message.

I don't want these people calling me and warning me I should be alone when listening because it's a sensitive matter, etc.

We received a call from 708-224-7474.  They want to collect $20 for what they sayis an unpaid insurance co-pay.  We do not owe this.  Is this a scam?
