I answered the phone this morning and after 45 sec. I got the recorded message that Brother O got on his answering machine. No one in the house filled out an entry form to win a car nor have we gotten prior calls.
BEWARE this is a SCAM!!!

Received this call April 15, 2011 at 11:47 a.m. When I answered I said hello and there was a long pause - maybe 5 seconds. Then someone said, "Sorry, wrong number."

Yeah - another switch & bait approach company. Andre said I won a car or something and I should call back ASAP. But no one takes the call if you do!
She called from 708 248 7157. It's just Spam on the phone so if you have caller ID, ignore it.

Caller said "Oh, I have a wrong number, sorry for that, have a nice day"
I wondered about it so I looked it up and found others on this page with the same caller. What's up with that? Caller ID says Vandell Communications. Probably more like Vandal.

I answered and the caller said "Oh, I must have the wrong number." I said "Please don't hang up, hello"
They hung up. They have called twice now and once was 3:07am ET and then today at 8:18pm. I am not sure what to do. It's annoying not a please call back or a recording saying to call someone.

Got the exact same from Cristopher with the exact same wording.

Its for real, just called them back and all I have to do is sit in a program of some sort and give my opinion and look at a bunch of brochures and commit to buying a bunch of stuff, pay the taxes on the car up front and drive have-ways across the country and sit in another seminar or two, pay for some more stuff I don't want, buy one or two timeshares and then I  get entered into a drawing that they will announce the winner in 2013 and I could actually win the car or a coffee pot if I'm lucky. Again this is just tooooooooo good to be true. I NEVER win anything. This is going to be the BEST CHRISTMAS ever. I can't wait to tell the wife after I get back from the seminars. I'm spending my last $200 in our savings account so I can get my wife the present she deserves!!!!! A NEW CAR........................

Just got the same message from Christopher at 1-866-312-9553 x109. Chose not to call back. Freaks.

I just got this exact same worded call but the message was from "Christopher"  from "Vindale Communications"  Thanks for saving me the return call.  Hosers!

Got a voice message from what my caller ID reads as 708-856-0829.  Man left his name said he was "Christopher" with "Van Del Communications" and that I'd won a car or "one of out top 4 prizes".  Stated it was not a telemarketing call and that they'd made several attempts to reach me and that this was the final attempt to reach me.  He told me to call the toll free # 1-866-312-9553 ext 109 ASAP.  I called twice and all I got is a voicemail box.  Seems very fishy, especially since I never heard of this company and you had to enter the contest, or so he said.

Got a call just after 12:00 pm today (11/6/10) with the exact same pitch.  We never filled out an entry form to win a car.  Caller ID comes up as "PRIZE CR SRVC".  When I call the number back I get a busy signal.  I did waste time calling the number in the message.

I received a similar voice mail yesterday November 3, 2010.
"Hi this is Frank calling from ???   Marketing group. We have made numerous attempts to reach you regarding your entry form that you sent in within the last 18 months to receive a new car. This is my phone call to notify you that your name was pulled and you could receive one of our top four major prizes. It will be in your best interest to give me a call back as soon as possible. My number is toll free at 866-212-9553. Again that's 1-866-312-9553 ext. 243. We're not a telemarketing agency or timeshare, this is not a cold call. So please do not erase this message. I am aware of the "do not call list", so I wouldn't be calling unless you actually entered. I look forward to hearing from you. Once again congratulations, this is Frank Jackson"

Got a cold call at noon on a Sunday (10/31/10) from 708-248-7181 (caller id).

A smarmy guy claiming the name of Fred Jackson left a call back number of
866-312-9553  x243.  Gave me the same exact scripted pitch as stated in here
earlier.

I answered and the caller said "Oh, I must have the wrong number." How did he know? I wasn't quick enough....I should have asked for the number he was calling or asked him to state his business. The call was on a Sunday afternoon.

Received a call from this number today at 12 PM.  Left no message.  Name on caller ID was 'Mitchell Group'

Mitchell Communication, Steger IL, is a telemarketing call center. They are calling on behalf of a travel membership club Beach, Cruise, and Travel Network, LLC in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Probably just one of those sales pitches where you are told you can win a car, but you get a cheap TV. Then they sell you a $4,000 membership with $200 a year dues to get discount travel.

Here is the message left on my answering machine in a scripted, uneducated voice:

"Hi this is David calling from Mitchell Communication group. We have made numerous attempts to reach you regarding your entry form that you sent in within the last 18 months to receive a new car.
