Got a call from Prize Crd Svc at 10AM on a Saturday.  When I said Hello, the person replied "Oh, sorry.  I have the wrong number."  Very suspicious.

Bill collectors have limited hours to call. Telemarketers aren't allowed to call you if you're on th do not call list. This is a scam, the call comes form Illinois, tries to get time share appointments.

I received this call from PennDel Communications Feb 7, 2011:

"Hi this is Christopher calling from Pendell communications. I have made numerous attempts to reach you regarding entry form that was put on your name within the last 12 to 18 months to win a new car. This was my final attempt to notify that your name was pulled as a winner. We are going to award you one of  of our top four major prizes.  It will be in your best interest to give me a call back as soon as possible. My number is toll free at 1-866-312-9553 ext. 109. We're not telemarketing agency or timeshare. This is not a cold call. So please do not ignore this message. I'm very aware of the  do not call list so I wouldn't be calling unless you actually entered. This is a time sensitive matter. I look forward to hearing from you. Once again congratulation. My name is Christopher"

I ignored it, but he called again this morning and my husband answered the telephone at 8:20 a.m. Immediately "Christoper" told my husband he "dialed the wrong number," but *69 check of the caller ID says it's the same guy!!!

This is how they try to get around the do-not-call rules. If they can get you to call THEM, they think they've established a "relationship" with you -- they might even sell your number then.

Got a call from a "Prize Crd Srvc" which sounds totally bogus considering they called at 8:51 AM.  It was my understanding that telemarketers are allowed to call only between 9 AM - 9 PM.  Thank goodness for caller id, but it is annoying to be constantly interrupted by such calls.

calls were actually from 708-856-0816 and 708-248-7115

both left message that Vandell Communications called

both on Sunday Mothers Day, 7:30am and 11:30 am

of course we want our number deleted from their calling list

Just got the same call same script as above but the caller's name was Michelle.  I reported them to the Do Not Call registry and will file another complaint to the FCC.

I've been getting numerous calls from so called charities but let them all go to voice mail and surprise, they hang up every time!

i got the same message.. but i didnt know about it.. and made a mistake to call back. i left a message giving my name and phone number.. is that bad? is my identity in danger?

I got a call fron "Andre".

Today I received an identical call as described in several of the prior posts.  I can't believe we all won new cars, can't wait to get mine!

Naturally - I ignored the message, and hope they don't call back.

I received a live call today but all the fellow did was apologize for calling the wrong #.
They had left a msg. last week about a "confidential" nature.
I really don't mind telemarketers. Everyone needs to make a living.
But the scammers make me crazy.

I got the same call verbatim from a Christopher and that it was a time sensitive call regarding me winning a car. I HATE SCAMMERS and am on the Do not call registry.

I got the same message and did not enter any sweep stakes, but I tried to call the number back and got a recording saying no one was available to take my call. I gave them no name other than the phone number that they reached me at.

Oh, and BTW, it's interesting that "James" wants people to go to North Carolina, because according to wikipedia:

Just got the same verbatim call from Christopher,called back and talked to James. Said we had to commit to a "prize presentation" date & time with First Choice Destinations in Raleigh NC. Looked up address which is actually the Embassy Suites in Raleigh. Vic, your message was exactly the same. S C A M M E R S!

I got the exact same message.  They want me to come listen to a travel agency presentation before we can claim the prize.

I also received a message from Vandell Communications regarding winning a new car.

I received a voice mail from Christopher at Vandell Communications.  The message says: ?Hi this is Christopher calling from Vandell Communications, I've made numerous attempts to reach you regarding an entry form that was filled out in your name in the last 12-18 months to win a new car. (This was the first call I received) This will be my final attempt to notify that your name was pulled as a winner and we are going to award you one of our top four major prizes. It will be in your best interest to give me a call back as soon as possible. My number is toll free at 1-866-312-9553, ext. 109. We're not a telemarketing agency or timeshare; this is not a cold call so please do not ignore this message.?  This number was a different number than the caller showed.  The caller ID said ?Prize Crd Srvc? with the number 708-248-7485.
