I returned the call. They didn't try to sell me anything. Just wanted to make sure the contact information is still good. I will get an other call between Feb 1 and the 10 for more information from them. If I do win the whole thing the pick up point will be in my home town,

I got the same call but haven't called back. Sometimes the call could be going to an other country.

Purportedly I had entered some contest to win a $49,000 cash gift. To learn what I needed to do to claim my "gift" I was to call the number 1 708 292 6700 today.

Recieved a call today from 708-377-5842 saying it was Matthew Bruce about a an entry we made in the last 1-18 months, and that this is not a solicitation call and no money is involved but he was congratulating us on winning one of the top four prizes and we need to call 708-292-6700 in order to get instructions about claiming our winnings.
Has anyone followed through and called this number back and what is it?

They are claiming you are a big guaranteed winner. I'm sure it is a scam.
