The only way to protect yourself from these calls is to be informed and skeptical about anyone who says they have money for you but you have to give them money first in order to receive it! There is no such thing as protecting yourself from a phone call. Just hang up! If they call back, hang up again! OR say, "just a minute while I get him/her for you." then set the phone down on the table and walk away.

A call from "Victor Stalling" claiming to be from Google, stating that they had money earned on my website which they were trying to send to me.  He was going to call me back. He hasn't returned the call.   How can I protect myself from this type of calls?

I have been reading the messages above and I got a call today saying a lot of what was said to Christine Martin on May 24th. I received my call today, 6/4/12 at 3:22PM CST from a different number 602-773-6941. Same guy, Victor Stalling. He told me he was a Google publisher with Zenuity.  He had a lot of accurate info as I did sign up with a company called E3BIZ. They supposedly created 3 websites for me and I paid them a lot of money to advertise them for a year. One was about travel, another was about health insurance and the third one was about car insurance. I was supposed to get $8 per click.  Time went by and I never received anything. Made lots of calls to them and was finally given an email to track the hits to the sites. There were never any hits so I finally figured I'd been scammed and gave up on it. Victor told me I purchased the sites on 7/6/2010 and they had generated $22,250.13. A lot of the rest is the same as he told Christine Martin. I could get the money from Google, but E3BIZ had gone out of business and never completed my sites. I could get a grant to complete the sites and then get the money. That is when he asked for a credit card. I told him I didn't have any. He said he would have someone else call me about going about getting the money another way. Noone has called. I asked him to email me more info, but haven't heard from him. Obviously people are being scammed.

Someone cloned the number and was making literally thousands of random phone calls that were not really even coming from THAT number.  I know this because I had disconnected THAT phone number from my phone system (you see, I am 7083318550) and the calls were still going out at an unbelievable rate.  The phone company had been working on this problem for over a week when we decided that best way to stop the calls was to cancel the phone number.  As of Friday, May 25th, the phone number was cancelled and the calls should have stopped.  .  I am sorry for the random calls ... but rest assured, the did not come from us.

Christine, believe me when I say that Victor Stalling or whatever his real name is does not work for us at Calumet Lift Truck.  Our phone number has been cloned (708-331-8550) and they are using it to make litterally thousands of phone calls.  We've had the number cancelled (effective 5/25/2012 around 12:00 noon).  We're hoping that that solves this problem but I am sure that there are other cloned numbers that these jack***es will be using.  Just know, please, that the calls did not come from us.  We've been dealing with this since last Saturday.  I am going to pass along, to the Federal Trade Commission, the information about the company that your e-mail said this character worked for.  I would like to submit a copy of the e-mail to them also if you would be so kind as to forward it to me (info@callift.com).  If not that's ok to, I don't want to put you out any more than these freekin' phone calls have.  I'll see what I can do with what I've got.  I am sorry that this has happend and I do believe that the calls from 708-331-8550 have stopped.  --- Calumet Lift Truck

Did you happen to read any of the replies BEFORE you posted your message.  It clearly explains what's been going on with the number.  We've tried to track down who cloned the phone number but decided that cancelling the number would be a quicker solution to the problem.  Thanks for your message and all but the problem was spelled out pretty clearly over the past three days.  All you have to do is read a few of the replies BEFORE you post your message.  Then, you problably wouldn't have posted anything.  Sorry for the inconvenience of the phone calls but they didn't really come from us.

Mike - your problem should be resolved.  As of about noon today (5/25/2012) AT&T has successfully taken the number out of service.  I don't know what that is going to do for the people who have cloned the number but I know that on my end the number doesn't work anymore.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

Calls home about 4 to 5 times daily. The Caller ID says Calumet Lift Tr .  That is all the room on my caller ID. I don't have messages either. Pretty odd, I haven't been here when they call but how annoying. NOt really sure who this is. I checked telemarketer below, because I don't see "unknown"

Calls home about 4 times consecutively every day for the last week. Something popped up about Ameritech? But the ID says Calumet Lift Tr  Thats all that will come up on ID.

Some one by the name of Victor Stalling has been calling me continuously for about three days from 708-331-8550. He says he is with Google and I am owed some money, $22,000.00, from an account I did set one up about 1 1/2 years ago with a company called E3BIZ. They were making me a web site that would generate cash when someone clicked on it.   I quickly found out that I was being scammed by E3BIZ and made their life misserable until they returned my money. Now I am getting a call from this Victor saying they never cancelled my website and it has been collecting money in my name since it  started.
He has called about 30 times in the last three days to try and pressure me into having them complete other websites for me to be able to collect my money. It will cost between $3,000 and $8,000 dollars and then the $22,000 is mine. They will even try to give me a grant if I can't afford it if I will give them my credit card information.
I have asked him not to call me anymore and to send me more information by e-mail if he is on the up and up. I  also told him I  would reserch it  and get back with him if I was interested. Ofcourse, he has not sent anything.
He is calling from this number but different names show up on my caller ID. He did e-mail me once and the company that he said he was with on the e-mail was All American Services group.
He is very agressive and extremly rude.

As stated previously, someone has cloned the number and is making literally thousands of random phone calls that are not really even coming from Calumet LIft Truck Service Company, Inc.  We have reported the problem to the Annoyance Call Bureau (800-769-4099) and to the Federal Trade Commission (877-382-4357 Case #37728391).  We apoligize for the problem even though WE are the victims here.  We didn't ask for this to happen and we are dealing with it as best as we can.  I have requested that the phone company disconnect the line and that should be done by 5:00 pm Central Time.  So sorry for any inconvenience that this has caused.

Received call today 05/24/2012 at 10:05AM from (708-331-8550) Let answer machine answer they left no message. On my caller ID it says (CALUMET LIFT T). I never answer numbers I don't know.

I am from the 708-331-8550 phone number and the calls are NOT coming from us.  Our phone number has apparently been cloned and is being used to generate thousands of random phone calls.  We do appologize for this issue and we are working with the phone company to get this resolved but at this point we have had no luck.
