Pete,
Yes the heading does say in big clear bold letters NON Cancellable Lease and yes I have helped owners get the lease reassigned when they no longer have a need for credit card service or circumstances change for them.  Read what you sign Pete.  If your lease is not expired then lets try to reassign it for you but I don't even know who you are.  I  don't recommend ruining the equipment but its your choice.

I called the office at NPC to see what the final amount to purchase the machine, my salesman told me $1. Well, I found out it is $191....

I initially 3-1/2 years ago signed a lease that had NO heading "NON CANCELLABLE LEASE" This should be outlawed, its almost fraud, not knowing what you signed. I would not even consider re-assigning the lease, I'm sure thats just a ploy in fine print somewhere.

Lets see,  we will have paid $2,196 at the end of 4 years (45.20*48 months), for a machine that was only worth about $600. And now I'm told it costs $191.00 to purchase it at the end........
I'm just going to pay it too---So I can smash the equipment with a hammer.

Since we quit using the machine over 2 years ago, and NPC doesn't care what happens, so long as they get their money. No-one at NPC voluntarily tried to help us re-assign- so don't tell us  "I have done it for people in the past and will continue to do so"

NPC: You can hide behind your NON-CANCELLABLE LEASE, but you will eventually run out of business because of it. Good luck in the future-Your going to need it.

Signed: A small business owner who likes to make a living legally, and not stealing from fine print or hidden print..........

STAY AWAY FROM NPC

First of all the lease is NON cancellable but it is reassignable.  The reassignable part is where it is my responsibility to help reassign the lease to a different business owner if the initial lessee no longer has a use for the machine.  I have told many people that if they no longer are wanting to accept credit cards or if they sell their business or close their doors then I would assist in reassigning the lease for the remainder of the term.  I have done it for people in the past and will continue to do so.  Basically we lower peoples processing costs and lease the equipment to people in the hopes that their bottom line processing costs plus the lease are still less than what they are paying with their old company.  That is how we are able to sleep at night?  If you want to contact customer service at 708-225-2900 and ask for us to help you then that's what I recommend.  The cell phone number that I provided through the end of 2010 is now different due to something not related to business so if you ever tried to call the 708-225-2900 number then you should not have had a problem getting in contact with me.  I have thousands of customers and very few complaints so if you are someone who is feeling taken advantage of then I recommend you call the office and see if we can resolve something.

Well Mr. DeBacker........you are alive!! Funny I had the same thing happen to me!! I would never, ever sign a non-cancellable lease!! It's funny that the paperwork you gave me on the day of signing didn't include that part of the contract. That part didn't come until weeks later. Then I tried to call the numbers on the card you gave me and all I got was a computer or fax machine buzz. I also have 2 witnesses to the fact that I asked you if it was cancellable......more than once.......and you told me it was and there would be no problem at all cancelling if it didn't work out. Well boy, have I found out different!!
This company needs to be stopped from doing this to people!! I can't believe it has happened to so many and yet they are allowed to continue this scam!!! I don't know how the hell you can sleep at night knowing what you have done to people.

Kim I spoke with your husband twice, last night at 9 pm and again today at 10 am and after talking to our corporate offices it appears that you guys ran your own personal credit card through your machine so that you could use the funds to pay bills.  This is not what credit card processing accounts are for and it is not legal to use your own merchant acoount as a cash advance for personal use.  The two transactions that you ran through were both refunded to you on march 6th and as far as your credit card machine goes you have a 48 month agreement just as you had on the last one that was not from us and we paid off the final $634 that was due the old company.  The phone number that I had in 2010 was changed in February of 2011 and the fax number on the business card is still valid.  So in less than an hour after your husband called me, I returned his call and called him a second time today.  I was willing to discuss things with him and all he wanted to do was swear so I hung the phone up.  He knows he was wrong to run his personal card and you know its wrong also.  Im sorry that you guys ran your card but you have received 100% of your funds back.  Sorry that you feel scammed but you were not scammed, you were provided credit card service at 15 points over cost and 8 cents per transaction and you were leased a machine at $44.95 plus tax and the old lease was paid off in full.  You are currently paying an additional $4.05 per month on insurance on the machine because you have not provided the leasing company with proof of insurance.

I too was scammed bu Chuck Debaker.  Came into our shop on 6/4/10 promising the lowest fees and guaranteeing that we would not have an early termination fee from our previous processor, which of course never happened and we were charged $500.  I had contacted NPC and no one answered, I left a message that I would be calling the Better Business Bureau and low and behold I got a call back stating I would be contacted by Chuck Debaker which never happened.  We were also being charged $51.39 instead of the stated rate of $44.95 as the contract shows.  Now the company wants to sue me personally because I stopped payment on them doing automatic withdrawals.  Anyone having any luck with this line of Bullsh*t?

I don't know who you are but the number 405-8487 is a fax number.  The reason nobody answers it is because it is a fax line.  Does that make sense?  If you would like to fax over something that tells me who you are then I will attempt to correct what you feel is a rip off.  Did you not agree to lease a machine?  Did you not sign the paperwork?  Are you not paying less than you were with your previous processor?

I too am dealing with the same problem.  I am in the process of trying to figure out what to do to get out of lease.  I cannot continue to pay over $4,000.00 for a maching that cost $250.00.  REALLY?  I cannot believe this I to am missing pages of my contract.  I try every day to be honest with everyone I come in contact with concerning my small business and for these people making MILLIONS to do what they do is unbelievable.
I am trying to figure out now how to return machine as I have moved on buying my machine out right and switched to EVO.  Don't know too much about them but I do know they are not leasing me a machine.

No, Chuck Miller lives inTexas, I live in Wisconsin.  Chuck is a good and fair guy as am I.  The lady was offered the option to cancel and she threw a fit.  I did not make up signatures or do anything wrong.  It was a misunderstanding on her part and now she is acting like a child.

I had the same problem in WI. Chuck DeBacker was a NPC/Retriever independent sales rep. He came to my small business and told me that they could lease equipment to me at a low rate and I could cancel at anytime. Well, after a year, I decided it wasn't working for me. I called the sales rep Chuck DeBacker, and the phone number didn't work. I called Retriever, and was told that Chuck still works for them but they could not "give out" his number, that Chuck would have to contact me. Of course , he didn't. I was then told that I had a 48 month non-cancelable lease with NPC/Lease Capital. All of these businesses are one and the same. I tracked down Chuck(thank god for facebook) and got his number from his mother. Of course, he just laughed at me, and told me that he never told me that I could get out of the lease, just that I could get out of using the services. Rip-off! Plus I asked for copies of the orginal merchant agreement, of course, Mr. Chuck altered and added pages to the contract that I never signed nor saw...Run as fast as you can if anyone come to your shop to offer you credit card services!

Credit Card Machine Scam

4 years ago I "leased" a Credit Card Machien from a Salesman that was pushy and made me feel hurried. All sorts of red flags were thrown up and when I finally agreed due to the "lowest merchant fee" available and qucikest pay time on card purchases. I signed a few pieces of paper contract that did not appear to detailed, basically stating it was a "48 month" lease term and I must keep equipment in good repair, etc...When I received the equipment and contract through the mail, conveintley there were no contact#s except from the maker of the cc machine. I have tried unsucessfully for 4 years (I have documentation) to reach the company but everyone I contacted told me the machine was not theirs and not leased through them.
The amount of the monthly lease was for $49.95 to be deducted from my business account each month until the 4 yr expiration however they took $58.04 every month.
I used the machine only 3-4 times max and decided it was not worth the fees and the amount of time I was having to wait to get my money.
I tried reaching the company from a ph# that shows on the bank statement each mo, but even they claim to have no clue but spend over an hour and a half trying to help me locate the company and any contact info but were unsuccessful.
After the 4 yr lease expired (4/8/2010) I had my bank close that account to prevent them from taking any more money and force whoever this really is to have to contact me now!
Of course after 2 FAILED attempts to get anymore money, suddenly they start calling my office and sent me a letter saying my account was PAST DUE!!
I forgot to mention- PRIOR to these calls and letter arriving I was able to locate some original documents from an old file and returned the cc machine and a certified letter. I have contacted an attorney and if they continue to harrass me I will in fact pursue them legally!
This company is a SCAM- How they operate is to contact locally owned small mom& pop companies and offer them the lowest processing fees and a great rate on the equipment. Once they sign your name up, they are illegally taking your signature and copying it on to a NON CANCELABLE CONTRACT with some of the most outrageous terms and ALL to their benefit. Then once they have the money coming out of your account, they disappear and there is no salesman to reach, no company rep to ever check in on you, etc... BEWARE
They operate under the names of NPC/RPSI Inc.; National Processing Co and Lease Capital Group.
