Got a phone call from Matthew Brooks about winning a prize.  cid said call came from 708-377-5840 then call back 708-292-6700 to claim prize

bogus sweepstakes notification,

My 82 yr old parents just rec'd the same SUV call.  Shame on you Matt Brooks!

I received a call stating that I won an SUV from the same number and was told to call back to find out which prize I won from the top 4 prizes.  I didn't call back since they did not identify who they were!

i got a call about a 48,000 dollar prize in a contest i'd entered in the last 1-18 months. pffffffft

well looks like we are all the top four prize winners, i no whiz at math but there are more than four of us on here that got the exact same message only differences are some phone numbers my call was from 708-377-5840. and the return number i was given was 708- 377 6700. called it back knowing i havent entered any sweepstakes, recieved matt brooks on an answering machine. what kind of crap is this anyway just wanted to post the call just in case it is a scam maybe it will save me some grief

Filed a complaint with the do not call registry.  You can file a complaint for automated phone calls.  No sweepstakes gives an automated message that you won.  Especially a very vague message without your name or even what you won.  SCAM

I got the exact same message verbatim, even though I'm registered on the "do not call" list.  I will promptly report these d-bags to the FCC.

All my caller id said was it was an Illinois call with a 708 area code but to call a 219 area code.I looked up number and it is listed to a Noemi Russ. Huh? What a bunch of garbage.

I got a call from 708-377-5842 this afternoon at 1:04 p.m.  I saw "Sweepstakes Pro" on the caller ID, and decided to let the machine answer it.  They hung up just as the machine picked up.

If it were a genuine sweepstakes win (which I have had a few times before and then received the affadavits and prize via overnight deliveries) - the caller would have left a detailed message with the name of the sponsor, name of the winner, exact prize, and other information that nobody has listed here on this site.  Also, a reminder - you should NEVER have to pay anything for a sweepstakes prize win, except to the tax man.

Scam/not genuine.  Don't bother with this caller.

I got a message from Matthew Brooks. He said I won an SUV in a drawing. Is it a legit?

Today I rec'd a recorded message from Matthew Brooks at 708-377-5840.  Said I won an SUV in a drawing. Later the message said I was a guaranteed winner of one of four top prizes. There are two of us living here and he never said a who he was calling. Said to call 773-840-4400. Neither one of us called.

This is a scam caller got same message as the above individuals they should be arrested.

I also just got a call telling me that I had one sweepstakes within the last 1 to 18 months. This call from sweepstakes pro also invited me to dial 773-840-4400 to collect. The caller said in the message that I was guaranteed to be one of the top for prizewinners. If that were true, three of the four have just posted messages here yesterday and today!  Congratulations all!  We're winners!

Obviously it's a scam. Don't call them back.

I received a call, it was a recorded message, stating that I had entered to win an SUV in the last 1-18 months.  The caller ID listed "Sweepstakes Pro".  I did not enter any drawings for a SUV.  The man stated his name was Mathew Brooks and in order to claim "one of the top four prizes" I needed to call a specific number, (773) 840-4400.  I will not be calling this number because after reading about "Sweepstakes Pro" I believe this is nothing but a scam...

I got a call from a man today saying that I won the SUV.  My number to call back is 773-840-4400. I didn't call.

I received a call with a recorded female voice, saying that I entered to win an SUV in the last 1-18 months.  The CID said 'SWEEPSTAKES PRO'.  I have in fact entered in a sweepstakes at McCalister's Deli about a month ago, but was instantly suspicious because they offered no identifying information.  No name, but left the number 1-219-927-4250 to call back.  I have seen several other reports of a 'Sweepstakes Pro' and knew that they are responsible for solicitation calls.
