Dont call my number

so i went to better business bureau and the online web page for convergent outsourcing and told them id set up a one time payment with a woman saying she was from convergent and asked if their records showed such an arrangement ...she verified the information ..... but did not tell me why a 706 area code number called me from arizona ..... i still feel leary about this...if anyone gets anymore information please contact me directly at letshelpem@gmail.com...thanks

im concerned now because i just set up payment arrangement with my debit card .....for the 21st...for comed closed account ...from #708-402-9154

They called for the first time today. I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number. Plus I live 1,800 miles away from where the call originated. I blocked them immediately after reading this forum.

So I get a call today from the same number. She already knew who I was. Didn't ask for my ss. But did ask for my number on my house. Said that she was from comed. It's hard times right now, gave me an attitude saying that I've been saying ill pay them for 2 months now. Well when I get money I will pay it. Otherwise, just leave me alone. I hate bill collectors. They have also sent out the paperwork to verify who they are.

Got a call from them for one of my employees.  They state the call is being recorded.  I said that this was not the right number for him.  She hung up on me.  I suspect that if this was legitimate, they would have asked for an alternative number - especially if I was polite enough to listen...
I hate collection agencies, and scams associated with them - preying on people's good sense of themselves...

They just called me. A recorded British woman said it was a important call for (my name) said to press 1 if it was me, 2 if I was available but had to be summoned, 3 if it was a bad time, or 4 if it wasn't me. I pressed 4. Lets see if they call back.

Everyday around 10:30am that number calls.For a month straight..

its a scam, they say their calling about comed bills. but its just a scam

We received calles from this number and an 800 number, both from "Convergent Outsourcing Inc.," and asking for the last four digits of a social security number. They refused to state what their specific business was, and would only offer to remove our phone number from their call list. An online search of the company name suggested that it was a scam "debt collection" company.

just got a call from this number asking for ss# and when I asked why she needed that info. she could not explain so I told her that I was not going to give her anything and she said, "have a good day"..........

Got a call I live no where near where they supposedly call from. I never answer the call.

Same here,the number keeps calling me...I don't answer

This number called demanding my s.s. # to verify that it was me. 708=402-9154. When I told her she wasn't getting my information she said "alright then we'll keep calling your number then. This number also called a few other times wanting another persons information. When I threatened to call the police on them. They acted very calm and said ty have a nice night and hung up.

same here...few days in a row, no messages left, most likely autodial solicitation...
