Why does the state and federal government allow this to happen?  It records all phone calls! 708-520-4739.

They call at least 3 times a week, I never answer them.

Where did you purchase this call blocker? I'd love to get one.

I normally do not answer unknown numbers but did this time to avoid waking up my spouse.  An automated female voice said that due to the upcoming ComEd rate hikes I qualify for a discount plan and asked for me to press the * key to be connected to a company agent to determine which plan I might be eligible for.  The caller ID displayed "Customer Care".  I hung up realizing there is no way ComEd would contact each of its customers by phone to offer discounts.  The old "to good to be true" game.  Adding this number to DO NOT CALL list is likely a waste of time.  I'm going to look into call blocking technology 'cause I'm getting a lot of BS calls (not answering them) in the last 2 months.  

Keep getting calls from this number. Got a call blocker. This is one of many numbers in the "black list". Rings once and gets cut off. Blocker didn't cost much and puts a smile on my face every time the phone rings just once.

This # keeps calling me at all hours. Getting pretty po'd.

This number keeps calling my cell while I'm in meetings.  I picked it up today and it hung up right away.

2 calls from this number today (2 hours apart).  I didn't answer.  Didn't leave a message.  I do wish someone would figure out a way to put an end to all these annoying calls.  Call came in on a work cell phone, which almost never rings, so was surprised when it did ring, as were my clients.  I finally had to shut it off.

Have been getting calls from this number daily.

I have received two calls today from this number.  One was about my electricity bill and I did not answer the second call.  I too want the Iliinois Attorney General to put a stop to these trolls, but I think that they will only change their number and begin again.  Believe this or not but I've just received a THIRD call from these moles.

Uhm, the phone company wouldn't be selling your number.  That's the Do (Not) Call list that provides a list of numbers to telemarketers letting them know who to (not) call.

don't answer unknown numbers. if it's important they will leave a message and callers from this number never do.
add the number to your phone's reject list.

consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

I received a call from 708-529-4739 at 4:00 p.m. CDT today.  It was a robo-call advising me I could save on my electric bill - just press "5" now to be connected to one of our friendly representatives.  I think they called me two weeks ago (yes, I filed a complaint with the FCC that time, too).

Start calling your local hone company and complain about them selling your phone number in blocks

Great idea, but most times there is no one on the other end.  Call your local phone company, they are selling blocks of phone numbers.  Do not answer unknown calls, if its important they will leave a message.  I add the phone number to my address book, and then turn off the ringer.

I just got a call  too on my cell, I called it back from a landline and it says "Hello, please press 1 if you would like to be placed on a do not called list"  I stayed on the line and it just keeps repeating same message!  what a way to waste peoples time!

I received a call from 708-529-4739 at 11:30am CDT today. When I picked up the phone and answered I got an automated female voice which stated that "The Illinois Attorney General's Office has determined that ComEd Customers who fall under certain categories are eligible for a refund." Then said to press option #1 or #2 on your keypad according to which category you fall into. When I didn't pressed a number I was disconnected electronically.

do not answer this number - its a phone spammer- if you answer they can electronically swipe your information to use in a fraudulent manner. Google it.

This is a recording saying that I have been identified as a ComEd customer and my electric bill wll increase this month; and that by pressing 1, I'll be transfered to an operator that will help me save money.

Any ideas who calls from this number?

I just got a call from them and it was a recording saying it's about my ComED account.

Getting a lot of calls and responses from a man saying he has the wrong number.

I am also receiving these calls. I'd be interested in knowing whether the Illinois Attorney General can do anything about this.

Stop calling annoying phones. If you are the owner of phone number 708-529-4739, I want to inform you that we have traced your information from the office of  Illinois attorney general. Soon you will find yourself in big trouble.

Also this call comes in twice a day. Sometimes someone answers and says wrong number. Other times its dead air. What's going on? Getting very annoyed.

This number calls more than two times a day. Sounds like a black man calling and every time we answer he says "Oh sorry wrong number." It shows up on caller ID as customer care but how do they know they have the wrong number when they never ask. When you call the number back all the recording says is "Thank you for calling, if you want to be placed on the Do Not Call List press 1 now." We have pressed 1 more than 10 times. Anyone know who this is?
