I received a call from a female identifying this company, not herself. When I kept being asked is this who she wanted, I kept asking- what is this pertaining too. She would not disclose, so I didn't disclose. Be careful with relaying information without finding out the specifics. She hung up on me before I let my unscripted side come out. I'm not a lawyer, I work for the State of I'll and I do know the rights of citizens. People don't have devulge anything by phone. Get the paper that is supposed to show what debt or whatever you have hanging over your head, first. Then get legal representation and move to fight. Don't continue to be a victim to scammers or not-so legit agencies!!!!!!!!

Received a robo-call to my cell phone about a municipal issue.  Called back and was told that my license would be suspended if I did not pay the tickets to Country Club Hills.  I have never been ticketed there and they would not provide me with any documentation to support their claim.  I think they have me confused with someone else.  Go ahead and suspend whoever you are looking for.

Got a call from mcsi saying she represented village of lake forest. I've never been there, not can I afford anything in lake forest! Will not be returning call.

These f****ng c***suckers were nonstop calling the house for a ticket for a car that we don't even own as it was my ex's fault that the ticket got placed on it. But since he never paid, and my day was the first name on the car title they would call my dad and not my ex.
So now that my house line is closed and my dad moved they have started calling my personal f****ng cellphone looking for my dad! WTF, f*** off retards.

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!

so how does one proceed with stopping ROBO calls, let alone filing suit. They claim they are calling from a 'village or city near me' regarding recent break ins. Every other day for MONTHS.

MCSI contacted me last year regarding a Blue Island ticket that I knew I had paid.  I provided them proof of payment, and the calls stopped.  Earlier this year, I get a notice that the Illinois Comptrollers Office is withholding $250 from my paycheck (I work for the state).  I contacted Blue Island PD and they told me to contact MCSI.  I tried to explain that I already cleared it up with MCSI, but the PD said MCSI is the ones who submitted my ticket to the Comptroller.  I called MCSI again and they claimed we had never spoken before????  I had to prove again that I paid this ticket back in 2009, but I still do not have my money back.  MCSI is very dangerous with whatever political connections they have that have allowed this to happen to me.

most of these posts are from IL, but I don't know if I've ever even been through IL, except at O'Hare.

I continually receive messages from this number and am told this is a matter of an mcis village or county in my area. It is an automated message. When I answer the phone, no one replies.

the person called MY BROTHER, why or how they got his number is beyond me.  This number has called me a few times with threats of owing all this money but anytime I ask them to send me an invoice they can't.  I just read up on places calling you and not producing any invoice of a bill they CLAIM you owe, THEY ARE SCAMS.

If they truly are trying to collect on tickets from somewhere in IL, they picked the wrong number to call when they called me!   I live over 2000 miles from IL and haven't set foot in that state for fifty some years.

Miss called my cell, very nice woman. Couldn't find my number, and I have always lived in Tennessee told me to disregard the call.

They called offering me a *special offer* and I don't have anyone looking for collections, so based on the previous posts I'd say it's a TOTAL scammer.

I don't get it but if they've ANYTHING to do with traffic violations then they're obviously completely clueless about how to do their job or it's a scam. I do not owe ANY traffic tickets or any other related traffic offence tickets. I do not drive, I do not own a car, I am legally blind from retinitis pigmentosa. I had to retire my practice (I was a physician) as it was unfair to my patients or even dangerous for me to be treating them since my practice was geriatric medicine & there are a percentage of elderly who have mild to moderate symptoms of neurological problems simply due to age, which to a certain degree is normal & considering as we age we lose the ability to do many things our mind tells us we want to do but our body says "like hell I'm gonna do that!" kind of buffering our awareness of these little age related things & if verbal communication is compromised then it makes it almost impossible to treat the patient. Ok, no more whining, sorrm y bout that!  If these people are going to try to collect fines for traffic tickets of any kind, PARTICULARLY in CHICAGO???
I've never been to Chicago, I don't know anyone in Chicago so how on earth could I have tickets in Chicago. I get calls from this number up to 3 times a day on some days & they just start reading their little pre-written little act which I now know so well I can "read" it right along with them & boy does THAT piss them off! They say..."stop repeating me, stop repeating every thing say" etc.,....boy, doesn't that sound familiar, hmmm, wonder where I heard that kind of talk before......., wait, wait,......I remember....2nd or 3rd grade?  Sometime before I had to use two digits if asked to write my age!!  I know there are laws which deal with harassment & I'm about at that point with these annoying little cusses. My husband has taken the call a couple of times an the reaction was priceless. He's one of those guys who is very low key, kinda mellow, hard to have an argument with someone who won't argue back!  Or just slams out the door and sits in the truck until he calms down then comes in calm as can be like nothing ever happened and I feel like lobbing  the first handy large, blunt, heavy object, I can find at him. Doesn't matter I can't see....my grandmother had retinitis pigmentosa as well and when we misbehaved or didn't listen she could clip us with a shoe at 40 feet (shoe, feet, never got that before but funny!).
I doubt anyone will ever accuse me of being linear! but my husbands reaction after they kept trying to get any information out of him actually bellowed an obscenity at them and hung-up.
Just to make it a little more interesting, I tried calling the number back and on one occasion & it just rang and rang and rang, another time I was hung-up on but heard voices in the background and today I tried and received a message from the phone company telling me the number is not in service. Well for a number that just called me 5 min ago it sounds a liittle fishy! Only scammers have any reason to hide where they are calling from when dealing with any business call.
Thanks for putting up with my ranting and venting but these people get me so damned mad!

keeps calling after told to quit

I was called from this number and confirmed that I had the same name of the person they wanted, but I was 20 years older.  They politely said they would remove my phone number.  A month later, I got an alert that MCSI was on my credit bureau report.  I called them and again confirmed I am not the person they are looking for and demanded they remove the item from my credit.  They told me there was nothing they could do until the payment was made!  I have never seen anything like this in my life.

I found no info other then what I read here.. I live in Vegas. My phone is Washington state but this number keeps calling me. I learned to get info on unfamiliar numbers first before I answer. I do not have tickets or other debts for anyone to try to collect on so I guess it would be a scammer or spammer.

The State can not a bill collector

I got a message on my cell phone saying it was MSI, and they were calling about a village or city issue.  I have no idea what this could be about, but I'm not returning the call.

BTW people as with any collection agencies, we have the right to the information on the debt they are trying to collect. It is our right to know where the debt originated, how long its been in collections and where the collection agency is located. The agency should provide, a name,  phone number, address, reference# of pending document and so on.

Told me i won a cruise, so regardless if they claim to be collections, or some other legitimate company its a scam.

Called my cell #.  I didn't answer.  I have never been to Illinois and never had any tickets in my life so I don't know why they are calling me.

Had messages regarding owing a debt to a municipality.  Checked my credit report and saw MCSI making a claim that I owe $250.  I have had one parking ticket my entire life on my daughters car, which I co=signed.  I have proof I paid, so I called.  They agreed I had paid the ticket in 2009, but demanded $125 as their "credit bureau removal fee".

The debt was paid in 2009, listed on my credit three years later in error, now they want $125?  SCAM!!  I am calling the AG

I was called by MCSI for a couple of tickets in Blue Island.  I was sure I paid these, so I contacted the police department directly.  They told me I still owed money, so I was prepared to pay.  It kept bothering me on the drive home, so I went back into my bank records and found the cancelled check I paid to Blue Island!  I went back in to the PD to show them proof, and they told me my check was actually sent to a collection agency and was never forwarded to the city?  Fortunately, I keep great records and found the number of the place I spoke to.  They sent me confirmation of the check and confirmation they sent the payment to Blue Island!!!  I did a Freedom of Information Act request to the city and they themselves provided me proof that I had paid the collection agency and they paid the city.  People, LISTEN UP!  If you think you paid, you probably did.  See the message above where the PD uses MCSI's software to determine whether or not someone paid.  This is a total scam

These people called my home [new number 45 days ago] claiming to be trying to contact my daughter.  The lady said it was about a "matter regarding the city of Pekin, IL".  She refused to provide information, and it took much prompting to get anything from her.  Her number isn't even from the same county - totally different area code.  Though no money was mentioned, it was obvious that this is where it was going.  A definate scam!!!

Yikes... as I'm reading more of the posts it sounds like people pay and then get called again claiming they didn't.  Hope this doesn't happen.  This was for the Mundelein, IL police dept.  Curious if anyone else has received calls for Mundelein tickets?  Also, MCSI promised they would mail along a receipt of payment- did anyone else get confirmation of payment via the mail once they paid?

Just a note that this number turned out to be legit for me.  At first I thought it was a fraud call reading all of these posts and because they called me about a ticket from 14 years ago I'd never received.  However, I ended up calling the police station in the town issued (since I did live there 13 years ago) and they confirmed MCSI is the collection agency they use.  So, I called MCSI back and paid the bill.
