The following list(s) which you have may have been helpful for some but I highly doubt it!  As I have used ALL of them several times and does NOTHING to stop these people from calling.  They simply change numbers/names and usually they can not be located under the information you give these agencies due to the fact they change and are a complete scam.  I have come to the conclusion through all this that I have NO rights as a hard working American/single Mom who did NOT take out any payday loans of any kind at anytime and have been and still are being called on my cell, at my job, my parents are getting calls, my ex husband, my ex brother in law it is never ending.  And when I finally got one of these "callers" to tell me what this was in regards to they said "$1500.00 loan back on 2011."  From well known bank branch in which the bank I currently bank with to this day.  I called my bank and spoke to the fraud department there and let them know how this place was trying to collect money on their behalf stating I owe for a loan of $1500.00 I took out at this bank in 2011.  I also, called and filed reports with anyone and everyone and NOTHING came of it they can't either locate them or it's just a dead end and there's nothing they can do.  So, pretty much came to the conclusion that I have no rights and neither does others that are getting these calls might as well inform your employer, family, friends whoever that these scam bags will call and call and call.  I have them blocked on my cell until a new number comes up.  I have even called them and told them why bother calling me,,,you will never ever get a red cent from me ever,,,serve me then I want you too I want to go to court and face you in court in front of a judge they won't do it because it's a scam,,,there is no monies owed and never has been I know that it's they are so stupid they think calling me will change that.  Work hard out there Americans ones with honest jobs, pay your taxes, pay your bills, take care of your kids,,,etc,,gets you NO where we get the sh*t end of the stick!!!  These people win even if they don't get any money they win by driving us crazy and interrupting our lives!

i keep getting calls from 708-843-8077 saying i owe a back debt from a payday loan back in 2007 (which i don't). and this company (who doesn't identify themselves until after ss#s is given, says they are going to serve me with papers). i've asked repeatedly to provide proof and to also take me off their list. they were less than professional to say the least.

I have received 2 calls from them now.  They state they have a "summons" for same first name but wrong last name.  It sounds like a collection agency that may have bought old "debts" for pennies on the dollar.  They try to scare you in to paying and that's how they make their money.  I have blocked their number.  Don't call them back or give them any information. Ignore them.

The call was so ominous sounding that I called back immediately. Fortunately, it was after hours, even for scammers.  I then googled the phone number and saw all these responses from people who got the same call. I just feel bad for those who are intimidated or scared into paying these crooks. They ought to be hung from a tree!

These calls are all BS! Why would they call you repeatedly. If they are going to serve you them let them serve you. Don't willingly call the number back and give out your info. This is how ID THEFT can happen. Be smart, just ignore it. Eventually they will stop calling

SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!! this number called me but left no message so i look up the number and it appears that from all the comments left on here this is just another new phone number to add to the many different numbers that call mywork and pretty much leave the same freaking message. I do not owe any money to anyone...I have been threatened countless times with "we are going to serve you papers if you do not comply".  Well i am still waiting after 2 years of this crap!  I have not moved so the papers did not got to an old address because i have lived in the same place for about 10 years now.  Can imagine where these papers are or the arrest warrents either!  So what do you think!  SCAMMMMMMM!!!!  HAHAHAHAHA... they keep calling, but the calls are starting to come less frequently.  I am thinking that maybe they are getting the hint, i am not falling for the SCAM!!!!!

You don't get called first you're correct.  This is a type of scam by a collection agency trying to scare people into paying a debt from years ago.  The debt is probably about to fall off your credit report and that company wants money before it's too late.

Its a scam. Report them to the state attorney general and the FTC. Block them if you can and ignore them. If you do call back and ask any sort of questions like "tell me the address you have on file and I'll verify" they just hang up on you. Sort of fun to play with though!

Definitely totally bogus operation. Had the same call in May.  At that time it was, "This is your third and final warning. Good luck in court."  Well, if that was my third and final warning, why are they calling again with the same ominous warning. They are calling for someone with the same last name but different first name, but I'm not going to call these idiots back.  They aren't the police. They aren't going to have you arrested. If in fact they have a civil complaint to serve, you will be served by a private process server or by a deputy sheriff.   They won't be around. They are only looking to scam money. My advice - don't talk to them and don't cal them back.

I too work for a firm.  PDL companies are considered to be companies who operate based off of "post-dated" checks.  Post-dated checks, which are declined by a banking institution, do not give rise to fraudulent activity; therefore, the whole fraudulent charges claim is bull$hit...at least in the state of TEXAS.   Also, there are arbitration clauses in those agreements.  Any damages would have to be sought and recovered through arbitration (The American Arbitration Association).  So, criminal charges aren't happening, it is in deed a "scare tactic" and they should be ashamed of themselves (although we know they aren't).

I was actually going to call back because I don't have any PDLs or anything of that sort hanging over my head, but once they started with the whole "forfeit your rights" crap, I decided to say screw them, if it's legit....just serve me.  When I have people served, I never call and warn them.  I just send a PRIVATE PROCESS SERVER to their address and have them served.

These people are, in my opinion, idiots.

I called back, from my law office I work at, when I asked them very politely the name of their organization they promptly hung up on me. I reported them to the Ohio AG office as potentially committing fraud.
According to the Fair Debt Collection Act, you cannot threaten people with criminal charges for not paying a debt (THERE IS NO DEBTORS PRISON IN THE U.S.).  However, in their case they were careful to word it as "fraud on your social security number" and "charges in your county" so as to not break the actual wording of the law, but, I think they come close enough that it would be viewed as such by LE.  Also, if they won't identify themselves, I would RATHER that they serve me in writing with a Summons...why would I deal with an organization that won't even identify itself, why would that make me inclined to give them any kind of money? LOL So ridiculous the logic in that.
By not contacting them, you do NOT forfeit any "rights" these are intimidation calls designed to make you think they have some kind of legal ground in a criminal prosecution and they do not.  The only legal recourse they may have is if they can file a judgment in civil common pleas or municipal (small claims) court, in which you could easily find that out on your county's Clerk of Court's website or a phone call to them.  But even if they do file a small claims Complaint or Summary Judgment, you would be notified, you would have a garnishment attached to you, eventually, and you would never go to jail.  The contract you sign with the pay day loan people makes this a civil matter, regardless of the stuff they tell you about your check writing and bouncing.
Think about it, if charges were being filed against you for fraudulent activity, don't you think investigators would be calling you first, like as in Law Enforcement?  To interview you?  And identify themselves...  You would also not be served with a Summons, in a the case of criminal charges, you would be served with at Warrant, by your local Sheriff and they sure as hell don't call you first...how would they?

They keep calling for a women named Angela Bengura or something like that.  Me nor my wife have ever heard of this lady or anyone with a similar last name.  We've told them time and time again to stop calling, and that we do not know this lady.  They continue to harass us and eat up our minutes on our cell phone.

Received call claiming to be from "process division" no company, no state, no court is mentioned. Only that I am being charged with fraudulent activities against my SSN & my bank account in my county, (of course,  no county specified), and that process server will be at my residence or work place. They go on to say that if I don't contact them before being served I forfeit my "rights". I live in Chicago...this is a Chicago Heights number, but yet they are on the East Coast!!!! Office hours are from 9-6 EST!!!! They will soon feel my heat.
