Scott Summers (Cyclops) called to say that they "we're looking at my entry" which I had entered "sometime in the past year". I was to call back at 1-866-861-6525 for more info. He never actually said I won. He said "we're looking at my entry" and at the end of the message said "congratulations". He called from 1-708-859-1020.

I got it too...
This is spoken in a Minnesota/Dakota accent...
"Hi, this is Peter here, with the Awards Notification Department... Just responding to the automatic entry that was submitted sometime back within the last year in hopes of winning the $50,000 cash giveaway... Well the contest is officially over... We're looking at your entry and we have very good news for you. What we need you to do as soon as possible is give us a call toll free here at 1-866-861-6525... Again, that's toll free 1-866-861-6525.. We'll look to here from you soon and congratulations!"
Gee... so many people are winning! What are they selling? Has anyone called?

Received almost identical call, but the name is now Peter, and the amount has increased to $50,000. Twice the amount to get more responses I presume.

708-859-1020 called today. Left this message on my ans machine: name Piere from Notification Dept of Western Springs, IL. said I had won $25K Hobby cash giveaway. Ask me to call back immediately on 1-866-861-6525 to claim prize. Too phoney. Of course, I didn't call back. I'm certain it's a SCAM.

Also got a call from Pierre. Nearly identical wording.

Got a call this morning (Christmas Eve). Left a message stating "Hi this is Pier from the Notification Department and I'm calling about the $25,000 holiday sweepstakes that you had entered some time ago back around the beginning of the year. We do need you to call us back as soon as possible at 1-866-861-6525. Thanks and CONGRATULATIONS!"
Oh Goodie! A call from the NOTIFICATION DEPARTMENT of THE $25,000 HOLIDAY SWEEPSTAKES! No thanks! I'll pass.

Got a call at 8:30am- caller ID said Shawn Morris, so I picked up. I have relatives in Illinois, so didn't think anything of it when I saw the area code. Somebody definitely on the other end, but not talking. I hung up and called the number back and got a fast busy signal. I had my local operator assist call the number, and they got a recorded message the call can't go through as dialed. Definitely one of those call mills where they auto dial out, but you can't call back. Googled the number and it shows up as a land line in Western Springs, IL.
