Trust your instincts and ignore your greed.  If you did not enter a a contest to win a Dodge SUV, strike one.  If the caller is using a mobile phone (like "Doug's"), strike two.  If a quick web search produces this sort of string, strike three.  Sucker beware.

and realized it was not a dream but in fact sobering reality that there are predators and thieves out there who prey on the most vulnerable of our society.  Those, who sometimes through desperation or naivety find themselves victims of scams like these.

Thankfully, the internet and sites like this can be somewhat of an equalizer to assist even the most slightly curious amongst us to search and learn the true identity or intentions of many of these manipulative operations before they are quickly parted with their hard-earned money!

And then... you woke up.

Doug told me I won a new Dodge.  So of course I had to find out when and where I would collect it.  I was summoned to a warehouse in the Anacostia section of DC and showed-up as instructed with my $700 deposit fee. After all, Doug and I spoke on the phone for well over 10-minutes so I knew I could trust him implicitly.  Once I handed over the cash (in good faith to show I was serious about the deal), Doug and his group of "associates" motioned me to sit down and then proceeded to pressure me on the many reasons why I needed to invest in time-sharing.

They went on-and-on. "Clayton" was the "good cop" calm and cool, assuring me that my cooperation would result in wealth beyond my wildest dreams!  "Jamal", the "bad cop", unrelenting, intimidating, intimated that nothing short of a successful agreement would be the only thing possible for me.  Hours passed, they were becoming tense.  The pitch was punctuated with demands for my account numbers, social, cell number, work address... anything to gather information.

Things went very badly when I finally was able to resist the pressure and make a beeline for the door but there was Jamal and two others blocking the way.  "Let me pass" I said, now with a new found determination.  "Oh, and where's my $700?", waiting for Jamal to answer but all I received were icy stares from the trio.

In a fit of Herculean strength, I pushed passed my abductors and made it into the shabby, dim-lit hallway of the third-floor walk-up that masqueraded as an office by night.  I thought I was in the clear, when a massive beast 6' 7'', 300lbs now stood before me.

In a glint of silvery moonlight shining through a cracked, weather-beaten window, I noticed the monster had a white envelope in his left hand.  The very envelope I had presented to these lads at the beginning of my odyssey hours before.  I knew it could only contain one thing, my seven hundred big ones!  "Look" I said, "Your shoe's untied!" and the beast fell for the ruse!  As he bent forward to investigate my claim, I snatched the parcel from the monster's hand and like a ninja from a Jackie Chan movie, absconded into the shadows and was quickly spirited away to safety and security, far from my pursuers.

I received the same call from doug thomas, said i was a finalist to win a dodge suv, so since i'm a chance-taker i called back and found out that i was guaranteed 1 of 4 prizes if i came out for the drawing in DC which is part of a promotional giveaway. So me n my spouse attended out of curiosity, and man did we have a nice time! The sponsors were friendly and very courteous, and they had amazing deals on many different leisure n entertainment services. It wasn't high-pressured, they're not a timeshare company like many people assume, and no purchases were made in order for me to receive my prize (in which i'm not going to reveal, don't want to spoil it for anyone else). Overall, we enjoyed ourselves, and this is definitely legit.

I got the same call. I was a "finalist" in winning a Dodge SUV. No name for me, no company name for him...

I had the same voice mail from 708-898-0851 X100 about being selected for a finalists' list to win Dodge SUV. And congratulations. I abstain from calling because it is some kind of swindlery.

I got the same call today.  The caller didn't have the name of anyone in the household.

Recording from "Doug Thompson" informing me that my "entry" in the sweepstakes paid off!  I won a brand new Dodge SUV!!!!!!!!

Continued by saying he was "looking forward to speaking witch ju" on this matter and that I must call back right away at:  708-898-0851 X100

The message cautioned again that he wants to "speak witch ju" immediately and repeated the number. After congratulating me again, the call then disconnected.
