Crazy woman claiming to be someone's Daughter.. When i stated that she had the wrong number she started asking me for my number name, many times... I called her back, she answered... I asked to Speak to "Mom".. She acted all surprised and hung up.. I've been calling her form time to time since...

What a scam...

However, she knows that it's not illegal to call random people and ask wh she's speaking with... However, it's immoral...

It's very possible that this is the only way she knows how to male money and as such keeps doing it..

I say call her back, often and ask her how she's doing.. ;)

Got a call yesterday from this number again a woman in her mid 30's.  Pretty agressive in trying to get my info.  Which I did not give her.  I've had my number for over 4 yrs with the same carrier.

Just got a call from this number, didn't answer it because I have been getting a lot of unsolicited calls lately. Seems like she's been at this a while.

I received a call from a female caller as described, asking for "Mom," then she described pushing speed dial to reach her mom and also asked my name more than once. Who knows!!!

It's the cops trying to suss out who you are after a complaint about your number.

Seriously what is this about? This chick called me from this number asking the same crap. I have two phones and she only called my prepaid phone this is freaky eh. Said looking for her mom and she pushed her speed dial.... really? Who the hell are you and why the hell are you calling me asking me my name. Answers please......

Frank spews complete nonsense. Targets of investigations and their families are *NEVER* told they are targets.

My guess is she collects and matches names to phone numbers.  Just calls anyone randomly.  Puts a name to a number.. and then sells the list.  Probably makes good money doing it.  

That is the only thing that makes sense.. .Or this woman is completely bat crap crazy and is hoping to find her mom in the North America somewhere by dialing out.  That's the two options... the first makes most sense.

Ok, this is weird :s....caller is as described as above.. and called for the first time on my cell phone. i have a pay as you go cellphone and only my friends know my number not everyone...and i have this number for 3 months now...caller called asking for her mom...i replied uhm...obviously this is not your mom..she said oh ok who is this? i said you dont need to know that , have a good day and hung up.!

Er, I got called from this number on my cell and I live in Canada. The U.S. authorities have absolutely no law enforcement rights in Canada. This cannot be the reason you were called, it's too ridiculous.

I'll bet it's a part of a personal background check.  Possibly for a small business employment application or maybe someone you met online or in a bar and gave her/him your phone number.  So called "date check" companies are advertising these days.  Any one here do any of these things recently before you got this call?

Just got one of these ... 30-ish female, looking for her mom.  Seemed friendly enough -- did try to get my name.  Very odd.  Clearly, based on the history above, there is some purpose to it ... even if she is just a lonely person reaching out to talk to anyone.

Don't fall victim to this message.  You can't be charged because you don't tell someone your name who calls you randomly over the phone.  Maybe if they identified themselves in some way.  Don't just give your info out to some random person who calls you just because your afraid they will come and get you?  Your message makes no sense.

Number called, did not leave a message.  Federal Investigator?  I doubt that I dont know anyone who they would be bugging.  

However, callers name via paid check is Lynn and association is listed as Answering service.  Pretty vague report.

Ok people, here's the deal.  This lady is an investigator with a Federal DA's office.  Either you or someone in your home or close to you are the subject of a federal investigation...fraud, drugs, something.  Because she called me and two days later my brother who answered the phone here and gave her his name was arrested on a federal charge.  Yeah, my home got tore up by the police who had a warrant.  And since she had called me and I had refused to give her info, I have been charged with harboring a fugitive, interference with official acts, aiding a felon, and other s*** that I don't even know what it means.  Give up your name people and they'll say you cooperated cuz I didn't and now I'm looking at years behind bars myself, without my kids, wife, homies.  It ain't worth it.  Don't mess with investigators cuz they don't quit.

Bubbly chic said she hit the speed dial on her cell phone in an effort to reach her mother. She was "SO SURPRISED" that she got me instead. I told her that the phone company must have made a mistake as I am the only one who's owned this number for years and that I wasn't a mother. She got annoyed with my response as it is obvious that I am a dude. I wished her luck and confirmed again that she had the wrong number. She then asked me one more time what my phone number was. The same thing happen to me. She called looking for her mom and kept asking who I was even AFTER I told her she had the wrong number. Then she blocked her number and called the next day asking Jen.

Caller was as above.. female, about 30 , midwest accent. Seems she still can't find her mother. Was using speed dialing on her phone supposedly. Me thinks she needs to reprogram them all if that's the case or quit letting the kids play with it. :)

Caller was female, sounded to be around 20-30 years old, midwest accent.  This phone no comes back to a cellular phone in Spencer, Iowa.

Caller say's she's trying to reach her mom.

This number has called me several times. Never leaves a message. Always calls twice in a row...then a month or so will go by before I get another two calls.
