I got a call today at 10:00am, and no one spoke when I answered. Just dead silence before they hung up.

Call came in at 1135 am.  Was offering website design. Sounded Viet Namese or other SE Asia country. I cut her off and hung up.  I'm guessing it was a way to get info out of me.

712-326-3105 called my phone on 05/07/09 at 10:27 AM.  The recording said 'This is your last chance to lower your credit card rate to as low as 6.9%.  Press 9 to speak to (someone).'  When I asked the live person on the other end to remove my name and phone number from their calling list, he hung up on me.  When I called this number back it just clicks, but no one answers.

This is a VOIP provider phone # who sells cheap long distance to customers both here in America and abroad.  You will find both scum of the earth telemarketers and legit companies who use this caller-id. I would say mainly scum of the earth type but I did receive a valid call from this # today

I got a call from this number, but it is a nigerian scammer I was expecting a call from.  I think that Jim is right about it being a VOIP provider.

The guy calling me was from Nigeria, so I don't think FTC complaints would help since most people using this number are from out of the country.

I just received all from this number, They identified themselves as global marketing. I told them to take this number off the call list. She said I would take 40 days, The woman had a souther accent.

I recived some emails from a guy named  Meghan Hopper who i found on a nanny website saying that he needed a nanny for his 3yr old daughter because his company was moving him to the states for work now he said he was in germany told me to name the price for my services so i did and in two days i had 3 money grams in the amount of 1000.00 each said to take out my money that was charging for the first mo. and then send the rest to someone by the name of John Massoni in new york N.Y. to get his belongins here, but said i could only send it via money gram then i get a phone call today saying that he needed me to figure this out because i sent a money order instead when i tried to call the number back tonight it just rang and rand but i know that he was an african so now that i have seen this number on here im assuming that this is a scam

So even after i let the africa know that was calling me from this number that somthing wasnt right about his story he still is asking me to send the money for him. I recently added a comment about this number also under omaha area this man is serious about me sending him the money he said he was in germany but called from a (712) area code and i do think that is iowa so i told him to pick up the money himself but told me that his flight was cancled lol wow right so i said either you pick up the money or it is going back to where it came from

I am also getting calls ffrom this number daily arnd 12 in midnight.... When i call back nobody picks up.....

Received a phone call from this number today at 10:34 am.  No message.  Called back and the phone just rang.

My folks got a call from this number in Council Bluffs. But the accent was thickly foreign. Guy wanted some personal info about my mom so he could settle or send her something about fraud. I made her hang up. Tried to call back, it just rang. The number is available on a reverse phone book but I haven't paid to find out who it is.

Got the call but was busy on another call. Called back but just rang and rang and rang....

Oh my god I just got a call from this number today. They asked for my husband I said he was not home then they said when will he be home I asked who was calling and he told me it was none of my business. I said excuse me he then said it is none of your business. I said how do you know it is not me. He said what time will he be home. I asked to speak to a supervisor and then he started saying lady where you having sex and yelling at me. I did not answer back and he hung up. Tried calling them back but no answer also.

A supposed debt collector for Golds Gym (First Credit Financial Services).  I ended my contract with Golds back in 2007 and even talked to the branch I went to and they had no record of it.  The "gentleman" I talked to was VERY rude and condescending.  He refused to send me proof of this supposed debt and said that I knew I owed it so that was proof enough.  Golds is very sweet and looking into this for me.

Caller calls every couple days.... won't leave messages, so I don't pick it up, either.  Annoying.  Will get news channels involved if necessary to investigate.

call came in daughter in law answered I was not home.  Caller first asked for me then asked for my daughter.  Wouldn't tell my daughter in law who they were or leave a message.  He said something offensive and she hung up on him.  I called back when I got home but there was no answer.

just got a call from this number asking for the person who had my number previously (i know this because this person had ALOT of creditors who still call for him). when i told them this was no longer his number they started trying to get me to listen to their crap. i told them i wasn't interested and to remove my number and he kept going. he said 'i'm just trying to help you.' i asked why they called my number asking for someone else and then assumed i needed credit help, to which he replied, 'well, everyone needs help with their credit.' wow, that certainly sounds like a legit company to me...

Call came in at 9 40 am. Immediate recording how to lower my interest rate to as little as 6.9%,  press 1 to speak to a live operator. When I did, I started to tell the operator was on the do not call registry and I considered this call offensive.  She hung up on me.  No answer when I  call back. Was from LLM SVCS in or near Council Bluffs, Ia.

This serious, I don't have time for games.

These people (and others like them) are becoming more aggressive and more frequent. We need to make sure the FTC understands the enormity of the problem and takes action.
