712-429-0236 is the CallerID received when the caller uses tollfreegateway.com VoIP provider to make the call.  Hence, "TFGW" reported by a previous poster.

This is a SMALL list of who is all calling us.. When you call back NOTHING. I asked one  9got a recording to  put us on the do not  call list .. "give us 24 hours" well  two weeks  went by and  they still call

Received a call from 712 429 0236, left message about some bogus computer offer along w/ call back # 866 674 7434. Called back once to let them know I wanted off their call list & was hung up on. Called again & got someone who said they would take my # off...

Got a call from these bozo's 3/21 at 8pm. Was by a computer at the time so I googled the area code, returns as Iowa. Don't know anyone in Iowa so I let it go to voice mail. Recently (about a week earlier) had changed my voice mail message to resemble the Restricted Number message, and haven't heard back from them since.

I'm on the federal and MA "Do Not Call" lists, and I had two calls in one day from this number to my business line. No msg. left. It came up as "TFGW" on caller ID (I googled it but I'm pretty sure it wasn't the "Tripartied Federation of Galactic Warmongers" or the UN "Task Force on Gender and Water").

Recieved call from this number at 10:52 am March 28, 2007.  Male voice said, "Hello, hold on please" and I was put on hold....Why is this happening?  I too am on the DO NOT CALL LIST.  When I called the number back, The female voice message tells me to enter my number to be put on a DO NOT CALL List.

i got a called twice in one week, i did not pickup and they did not leave a number, when called back it does not ring at all.

I get a call from this number every day M-F but no one ever says anything and always hangs up when I answer

I have received many calls from these people, today I  went to dish networks web site(http://www.dishnetwork.com/content/customer_service/contact_us/index.shtml)
and called them direct. They apologies for the in convince and said that the calls were coming from there internal marketing department and provided me with the corporate mailing address.

Calls and leaves no messages.

They called a bunch of times today but only one time did they leave a blank message.

I am not a conspiracty theorist, or maybe I am going out of my mind? In any case; What if this wasn't a telephone solicitation, but rather a check to see who answers the phone as a part of a masked background check.

It would be a pretty good way of hearing the voice or at least the message of the reciever. The client of the investigator might want to see who answers the phone, is it a business? What is the sex of the voice? -of the recording? There aren't much easier ways to find this information than do a few 20 second telephone calls.

They could use the company as a front.
Yea, if you want a satellite system they can set you up with a provider, but this way they get paid for the canvassing calls by investigation firms too.

Or it could just be a telephone solicitation... heh.

This number keeps calling my cell phone- they call in the evenings when I am eating dinner and they call during the day when I am working. I have never answered any of the calls from this number because I did not recognize the number. Thanks to this site informing me that it is a scam call trying to reach me, I will continue not to answer if they continue to call.

These guys are definately scams.  Called me last night asking me to subscribe for Satellite Dish services. They proceed to ask for my home phone #, then my address. Something smelled fishy, so I gave them phony information.  I tried to be polite, so i told them i had to go and to give me a number to call them back. They guy pretty much brushed that off and said " no we'll contact you." After giving them an address, they then asked for my Social Security Number so they can check if I even qualify to the service. That pretty much confirmed that they were a scam. So I told the guy my SS was 123-45-6789. He hesitated and kept asking for SS. I repeated 123...  He just hung up on me while.

Called me on my cel phone today and yesterday. Left no message yesterday, but today they are pleased to le me know that they are a company specializing in helping people with credit problems buy computers and that despite my credit problems, I have been pre-approved to finance a desktop computer all my own.

Nice of them to take the time. Because really, poor people who can't pay their bills need computers too...

Called and left a message saying that I had been approved for to buy a new desktop computer and that all they would need is a valid checking account. Ha.

Received two calls on my cell phone from this number about two weeks apart, but no messages left either time. I figure if someone can't be bothered to leave me a message, I'm certainly not calling them back--especially if it's an unknown number or caller.

This number called my cell phone.  You'll wonder whether you can claim cell phone service cost on this scumbag.

I also registered on the do-not-call registry, THIS IS NOT A TELEMARKETER CALL, they are selling Cable TV? DISH NETWORK?
the call I recive is a recording that says in a female voice: " Hey guys you have been approved for a different LOAN on your house (special deal week only)etc..............."
THIS IS A BIG SCAM and its amazing no one can do any thig about this to thieves.

Called a second time. First time was a recording.  Second time they did not leave message on my cell phone voice mail.

I have received calls from this number twice now.

The first call, in 2/23/07 I requested removal, and their mailing address.At which point I was told I would be removed and got hung up on.

I also registered on the do-not-call registry on 2/23/07 after this incident.

The second call, on 3/20/2007 I asked for the address of the company placing the call. They would only provide a website, www.dishnetwork.com. I also re-iterated my removal request and got the same "sure" response.

Both calls caller IDed as "Iowa", despite the PA area code. Both started off with a recording from "The Satellite TV Company" advertising DVR's.

Got  these calls not only from this phonenumber but more  and  ID shows up as different states.. Pick up they don't say anything  Called back nothing either.. get sick and tired of these calls every day.. we got per day  like ten calls and don't even care if it's during the day  or nights

Got 2 calls in the last 4 days. i didn't pick up but they also didn't leave a message

Got a call from this number, did not pick up because I suspected it to be a telemarketer (too many of them call my phone)....they didn't do anything, didn't leave a message *shrug*

Called just now (3/16/07), listened to the whole message on the answering machine, held on a few seconds, then hung up.

Just got a call from this number at 11:00am ESDT.  They also called at 8:45pm last night - no message left.

Called at 9:12 am 3/16/07 claiming to be calling for cable satellite with great deals...just press # to be connected...I have only had this number for 3 weeks...odd

called and began to speak and I hung up.

Called and began to speak while the answer machine picked up ... then they hung up.

I called back the number and a recorded message asked to hang up as they would try to reach again.  It also gave the option of giving the phone # to be added into a no call list

This number has called my home several times, and I am on the DO NOT CALL registry.  

The number is coming from Iowa.  It initially started off with a recording, requesting me to apply for a satilite service, I held the line for an operator, and when they answered, I simply asked them to remove me from thier calling list, and they young lady said "ya o.k., BYE!!" AND THEN SHE HUNG UP ON ME!  This was clearly a solicitation call.
