Please make them stop calling me. Can anything be done?

Keep getting a call on this number with no voicemail and noone on the other line when I pick up. Very annoying.

Keeps calling me and please stop this right away.

How about 6 phone calls in the last 20 minutes.  This is the first time this has ever happened to me on my cell phone.  It is crazy that no one can do anything about this.

Just got my third call from this number. Tried to call it back and it said it was disconnected. I don't know the next step.  I wish they would stop calling my cell though.

two calls today, an hour apart so far.

Just got my second call from this number and didn't answer. No message ...

I started getting 2 phone calls a day on Friday on my cell phone.  I have answered twice, however, I was cut off one time and this last time, we were disconnected. There was only one time I heard a man's voice in a slight Indian accent saying my first name, however, I lost service because I was out of range.  Thanks for the info.  I will quit answering my phone when I see this number.

Same thing as everyone else.  I received two phone calls today a couple of hours apart.  For each call, it rang twice and that was it.  As the person above wrote, it is probably an attempt to link a phone number with a credit card.  Isn't thier some gov't. agency that can be contacted concerning this?

Just got a call like the rest of you.  The lady (moderate indian accent) asked about my recent purchase at 4 Wheel Parts, which I DID make, but she couldn't tell me what location I visited or what I purchased.  I told her I have never visited a 4 wheel parts (which was a lie..I read this list earlier and was very defensive).  She insisted that I did indeed visit a 4 wheel parts store.  These a** holes must have a way to link my phone number to my credit card, which is very disturbing.  I told her I didn't have time for her survey and she polietly hung up.  Really, not very much pressure at all, other than she was determined to get me to tell her that I visited that certain store.

UPDATE-
I just got a 3rd call and I answered it.  It was an AAA on a repair place I had recently used.  They had correct information, and it seemed quite legit.  I'm sure from the call originated from some far away call center- the guy's accent was Indian and when I picked up, there was about 7-8 seconds of clicking before it connected.  He was very courteous and the guy was brief.  AAA must have asked repair shops for their customers' info in order to provide ratings.

Just got 2 calls in one hour from this same number- no messages.  Bizarre.

thanks for posting this now I know about what its bout and I can put it on silent along with all of my debt collectors.  mine cant be for car repair cause I havnt taken my car to any shop in the last year.

got call from this number yesterday and today but didn't answer.  hopefully it will go away

I answered (Hello?), and a woman's voice immediately started saying, "Yes can you hear me?" I hesitated and said again, "Hello?" and she said, "Yes, can you hear me, I'm calling for XXXX XXXX, can you hear me?" in one, continuous sentence.

I hung up.

Same as everybody else. I'm sick of it, and will help prosecute.

they have called me twice in the past hour and have not left a message. It is annoying and someone needs to put a stop to this! I never answer my phone when a number pops up and its attached with no name. If they know me they leave a message!

Just took a call on my mobile from this number. They were calling re: AAA auto club and had a survey on satisfaction concerning a recent auto repair shop. I asked them to take me off their list.

ok they've called at least 20 times in the past 2 hours... every 5 minutes the phone rings - i'm tempted to unplug my phone...

do they honestly think i would buy whatever it is they're trying sell after harassing me?!

called my number at least 10 times this morning - very annoyed!!!

Got two calls today afternoon. No one answer on other side.

Okay, so here is what I have found out.

1.) The calls are coming in from overseas. Which means they are NOT being made in U.S.
2.) They are being used illegally.
3.) All phone numbers, starting with "712-429" that they have called from, HAVE been reported to the FBI.

So just to let everyone know, after a week or so, you shouldn't have to worry about someone calling you off and on. :)
One of the FBI agents had actually called me, and asked me what phone number's the have called me from, I gave them 712-429-0255 and 712-429-0252.
But of course he had a list with many many other phone number's on it as well.

They called once, no message.  Guess I'm not as sought after as you other guys they call 10 times a day.

There have now been 5 calls in 2 hours on my cell phone from this number.  Very few people have my cell number, all of them know not to call me while I am teaching.  There HAS to be something we can do.

Same here.  I have been getting 5-10 calls from this number per day for the past two days.  Nothing happens when I pick up but two beeps.  Did reverse lookup same as above with same results.  Mobile provider (t-mobile) cannot/will not block number.  Added "contact" and ring tone to number so I can ignore it.  Best of luck out there with this pest.

Started getting these calls today and they have already called every hour on the hour.  They will not leave a voicemail, and my rule is when anyone i have given my cell number or have not given it to doesnt leave a voicemail, I will not call them back LOL cos if it was important enough they would leave a brief message.  Sounds like a scamming company using multiple identities from reading the posts above.

I too have received 5 calls from this number within a 2 hour period - I too tried to call it back only to get an out of service recording.  I finally answered the call and it was a survey service from Triple A concerning an auto repair company we had used.  The lady had a distinct middle eastern accent, but the 712 area code is from Iowa.  I answered her questions but let her know how annoying it was to receive the call.
