I think alot of people these days use spoofcards.. and they use 712 area codes alot because there are a ton of chat services at these numbers.

for example, when im bored i call 712-432-6472 to chat with people... caller id is somewhat useless now that peope can spoof

I got  call from 712 986 2525  twice  it said I won a trip push 1 to continue push 2 to opt out the 2nd call I pushed 1 when they said I won a trip I asked who they were affiliated with she said Huh ? then hung up on me !

Received two calls on my from this number, the last of which was on 9/29/2012. I missed both calls and they left no message.

I've received several calls from this number and I never answer. That would be my advice to anyone. If it's someone you know, or something important, they will leave a message. DO NOT ANSWER. If you do so, the unknown out-of-state numbers calling will increase indefinitely. My phone will send particular contacts directly to voicemail, so once I know that the caller isn't someone I know, I save it under SCAM so that not only will I not answer it or have to listen to it ring (as much as I love my ringtone) and I have it saved as a record when I need to report them.

I get a call from this number. I play the message and they tell me "press 1 for information. Press 2 to check inbox" and other wierd crap. Then they call me again, so i answer and i get "this number has been disconnected or is out of service. Please, if you fell that this message is an error, check the number and call again."

Received a call from this number on August 9th, 2012 and would like to know who is behind it.

this number calls everyday, when I call back it rings and rings. Two searches one said Inwood Iowa the second said Beloit Iowa. I'm so confused and tired of this number...scammers!

I dont know what is going on? The man that ive been chatting with on facebook for the last 7 months has been calling me from this number? He is suppose to be a soildier serving in kabul afganistan and this so called number is suppose to be from kabul? I just recently talked to him on phone and he has somewhat of an accent. when i try and call him back on this number it says its been disconnected and is not a working number? Also when we talk just for a few min. it hangs up and i sent him email because i was curious and found out it was a number in iowa for qwest corporations, so far he hasnt answered me? Is he a scammer i have been chatting with this entire time?

It is a cruise and a timeshare company based out of Florida. People need to contact the Florida Attorney Generals Office, their state Attorney Generals Office, the FTC, FCC.  It is a cheap cruise that they claim is free but it is not. According to the Florida Division of Consumer Affairs for a free cruise or trip, they can only charge you the fee to get the prize to you. http://www.800helpfla.com/
There are 4 class actions lawsuit pending against them. The first call they will not give you any information. You have to wait for a follow up call. They do not want to get caught for breaking the law.

Receiving repeated calls from 712-986-2525, on both cell phone and land line. Husband answered a call (he didn't note the number) saying he'd won a Caribbean cruise and he hung up. I generally do not answer calls from "toll free number" or other unknowns. We have all three numbers on "Do Not Call" list.

received a call today, 240 pm, expecting my wife, recording said I won a cruise and press 1, I hung up. I'm on the national do not call list..

I received this call from this listed number no message and no contact apparently it is a collection agency and well I have no debts so why are they calling me. My phone is a private line only 15 people have this number and I intend on keeping it this way

have recieved this call twice, both times hangups- tried to call back get the 'disconnected number' message from phone co. My guess is this number is being spoofed onto fishing calls.

i got a call from this number yesterday & I just googled it & found this forum, I just got a new phone # a few days ago, so im not even sure who theyre looking for, but i didnt answer when they called & they didnt leave a message, but I just tried calling them back & it now says their numbers been disconnected, which i thought was pretty weird considering they just called me yesterday. I received at least 3 calls from this number since September, my daughter also rec'd one.  When we call back, msg says number is disconnected.

Called from this number, not the first time... No one responds when I pick up. 2 calls with no answer on 28 September and another again today. (5 October).

unknown annoying repeat call/ hang- up operator. do not answer. do not call back.

Complete silence for a few seconds and then it hung up, line was disconnected when I called back.

Automated voice said I won a free vacation, then asked me to press 1, where it rang and no one answered.

I got a call yesterday and was not able to answer it, they called again but this time had a 1 in front of number, my phone says it from Beloit IA.  When I tried to call back it was disconnected.  I don't know if it will help but going to report this phone number to my phone company.
