Its Chase Auto Finance... They call because YOU owe them money and its far past due. You want it to stop? Be a responsible adult and pay your car loan, its not rocket science. If you can't pay it then you shouldn't have bought a car that you can't afford, think about that. BOOM!
| Mike 2013-10-08 15:11:30 Unknown |
I get multiple daily calls from this number as well as other numbers that people have identified as Chase auto loan debt collectors (I never pick up the phone.) I have no auto loan & have no credit cards that are behind on payments (just checked my credit payment history with all three reporting agencies.) I don't know why I'm receiving these calls.
| Joan 2013-09-07 03:05:46 Unknown |
Just spoke with Chase and this is a scam number! It is not Chase Auto or JP Morgan. This scammer was asking me for my SSN and home address. BEWARE!

Hi they can legally repo your car being even just 1 day late. The costs associated with a repo don't make it simple for them to do that so they'll usually wait but I had a car repoed after 4 days because my account lady was a bi#@h and I had to bring my car payments current in order to get the car back. But to answer your question, they can legally repo your car any time after the due date. The 30 days isn't a timeline for them to repo, it's more so related to when your credit will be dinged for a late payment.

I answered and this was Chase Auto Finance for a loan I was late on. I traded in my car and the dealership hasn't paid it off yet so the loan is 16 days late. She asked me to give them the name and phone number of the dealership as well as the salesman's name. If she wasn't so rude when I answered I may have provided that information but now she will need to look it up herself. She also asked me to confirm my address after stating "I know you don't have the car anymore..." to which I answered "what you have on file is correct". GLAD to be rid of Chase. They are awful! And will harass if the payment is as little as 3 days late. Good riddance.

These people call you every freak day after when you are 1 day late with you car note. They have atleast 15 different telephone numbers, so don't be fooled by answering if you do not want to talk to them, SCREEN ALL calls, and let your answering machine pick it up, especially if you know you are going to pay them the month's payment!!

I have a car loan with them and since I changed from weekly pay checks to bi-weekly I had to make half and half payments. I still get it in before the due date or grace period and they call me every day all day from different numbers thinking they can trick me into answering. Even when I make the payment they still call me and thank me for making a payment. DON'T BUG ME TO THANK ME FOR MAKING A PAYMENT!

They called me on Christmas!

It only started getting bad after Chase reported theri losses over the summer. I ahve not been more than 15 days past and I get calls when I am 3 or 4 days past. I have less than 10 payements left to go. SEE YA Chase when it is done. Never again.

Maybe true regarding Chase. I was late by one day and this call started until it was in their (chase system) took 3 days and used their website to pay! Their constant calling borderlines on harrassement!

I like that and I will use it to if you don't mind

Thank you to everyone who has posted on this page. You guys made me laugh out loud and I really needed a good laugh on this Monday morning. I NEVER respond to numbers I don't know, so they can dial until their fingers fall off. I refuse to let some debt collector add to my existing stress about paying my bills in the first place.

I have a Chase auto loan...am hardly ever late..but ran into some money problems..am never later than 15 days..they cant even report it to the credit agencies until you are 30 days or more past due. They use several numbers several times a day to reach me. And if I answer they want a post dated check..um do I have stupid wrote on my forehead? I know you will cash that sucker the minute you have it. I have never had a finance company be like this. I have only gotten one nice person on the phone that said after having the car for a certain amount of time they can defer my payments for 2 months and let me get caught up. And change my date that I have to pay the payment. The rest of them have been jerks. So now if I dont recognize the number I dont answer. I look the number up on here. Sad that I have to do that.Never will I go thru them again!

This may be Chase Auto Finance; I arrainged with CAF a leniency
period with them to extend my payment due date as I was
injured in an auto accident some time ago. Due to the way the
insurance process works, composition is being handled by my
attorneys office dealing with adjusters, etc. They were, at first,
very helpful. Matter put in it's place, great. Month after month,
even though agreements were reached, call after call would
harrass me. Time after time a deaf ear was given to me, even
though I was assured "the agreement & info is in the system".
Trying to heal from a no-fault accident sure hasn't been made
easier by what is now harassment, clear and simple. On
Monday my calls will be to my attorney, and to track down an
officer of chase to inform him I am considering filing suit. I am
done with this company.

The FDCPA clearly prohibits debt collectors from calling you with excessive frequency, or at any unusual time or place that is known or should be known to be inconvenient for you. Therefore, it is very important that, if you receive collection calls at a time or place that is inconvenient, you communicate this problem to the collection caller. The collector then has a legal responsibility not to contact you during those times or at those places. Your request does not have to be in writing to be effective. Collectors must obey your verbal request not to be contacted at certain times. However, you must be prepared to offer times when you are available to speak to the collector. Remember that communication is the best way to resolve collection matters.
Fair Debt Collections Processing Act: § 806. Harassment or abuse - Causing a telephone to ring or engaging any person in telephone conversation repeatedly or continuously with intent to annoy, abuse, or harass any person at the called number. (NOT ALLOWED) previous poster indicating a debt collector can call and harass as often as would like is incorrect and should look into or practice law before posting such ridiculous unhelpful comments to people!! Clearly must be one of them...

Sorry, Ed, but you are wrong. We have our mortgage with a local credit union. When we had some personal/medical/employment issues over the past few years, they always worked with us to find a comfortable payment plan. They never rang the phone off the hook all day, every day. That is simply inexcusable. These b*****ds at Chase are crooks, pure and simple. A couple months ago, they called my partner at the beginning of the month, when her car payment isn't due until the third week of the month. A rather belligerent representative kept insisting my partner had to either pay over the phone for extra fees or guarantee she was mailing the payment that day so "it wouldn't be late." Our payment was not in any way late, so that call was harassment, period, exclamation point. Then, this month, Chase tried to claim she had missed a payment last summer. We learned from bitter experience to send every payment by certified mail, so we had every delivery stub. As it turns out, we hadn't missed a payment; we had actually overpaid by sending the payment twice several months ago. Now, when we were told no payment was due this month to make up for the overpayment, they have already started to call again. Come Monday, we're contacting our state Attorney General to lodge a formal complaint against this disgusting practice. My partner suffers from mental illness, and this sort of harassment exacerbates her condition. I've even told Chase about her condition, and I swear they started calling even more. What a bunch of sadistic cretins they are! We will never do business with them again.

If you have an iPhone, jailbreak it and get iBlacklist from Cydia. I think it's around $4, but totally worth it. Or you can probably find a free cracked version, but I recommend just buying it.
