They hung up

Nobody was there when I picked up.

Every day, 2 to 3 times, we receive the above mentioned phone call probe.

Got a call from this number.  When I answered they said "Mrs _______ (last name of the owner of the house)?"  When I said there was no such person, they apologized and hung up.

Tried calling the number back.  It was Houston Achievement Place calling about clothing donations.

I keep getting calls from this number too. Thanks for the info!

Why can't they just say Houston Achievment.  I might even pick up the phone.

I see SBT VPD 713-267-9986 on my caller ID two or three times a week.  Until I read your posts, I did not realize it was Houston Achievement Place

We called this number back and it is for "Houston Achievement Place". They are calling for clothing donations. They apparently use a number that is at a volunteer fire department location(VFD)somewhere in Houston. It is a legitimate charity organization that will pick up clothing donations at your door. We have donated clothes to them several times in the past. Hope this helps.

Received a call from this number today and picked it up, only to find a recording trying to sell something. It may be the ol' warranty about to expire thing, I do not know for sure because I just hung up right away.
So for those people out there trying to figure out if they missed an important call: You didn't.

They call and call, but leave no message and hang up when we answer.
What is the purpose of this nuisance?

I keep getting calls from this number, was home today when they called and no response when I answered....I hate these types of callers!!!

Appears as a missed call on home phone, 1/21/2009, 12:45 p.m. Left no message.
