We have been receiving calls from this number And these calls need to stop.

It is St. Luke's in Houston BUT I don't give out personal info over phone, either.  Call or log in to St. Lukes and get a number and call them to straighten out the bill or answer their questions--then you know you have St. Luke's on the phone!

I have been getting calls from St Luke's for over a year. Using various #'s they left voice mails (both real people or machines) that included my post child birth appointment reminders and billing. Problem is I'm a man living in CA. I talked to ST Luke's and my # was to be deleted months ago. Yesterday I received a auto voice mail from SLPH Health System  asking  me to call back to talk to a rep. Never said why or gave a POC, but, they did add a toll free # 1888-400-5750. This has to be a scam or St Luke's is being managed by allot of incompetent people.

This is the St. Luke's number. They called me wanting to know if I would answer some questions about how my treatment was since I was just in the emergency room. Its not a scam. If they're asking to verify your birthday its because they want to make sure that they're talking to the correct person before they release any personal information to you over the phone.

I had a biopsy and surgery at St. Luke's . I answered the 2nd time and they hung up. I went on line and  sent a billing inquiry telling them to rebill insurance for the surgery  and asked where a missing posting was on the biopsy. They replied quickly. You can even set up payments that way !

This number is for the St. Lukes business office in Houston, TX....

I've had surgery at St. Lukes twice.  I've therefore dealt with them when paying off bills.  Yes, these callers are St. Luke's (or from some company that St. Luke's has outsourced their billing to, I don't know which).

I have never been to St Luke's so I have no idea why they would be calling me.  I have received several calls from them but have not answered, as I didn't recognize the number.  Thanks for the info everyone, now I know it's just a scam and to continue to ignore.

I recieved a call from this number on my mobile phone.  They said they was with St, Luke billing service calling about a bill I owe.  I told her I haven't received a billing statement from St, Luke.  She asked for my address to verify billing information, then she asked for my date of birthday.  I asked her why did she need that type of information to discuss a bill.  She said if you would like you can call us back and gave me a reference number of 712211,  I called the number and it when straight to voice mail.

I called the number and the rep. could not locate any information stating we had a balance with them.  The Rep asked for the phone number they had left the messege at.

I called St Luke's Hospital - Patient Financial Services - (800) 854-5455 #3 #4 and they said if the rep calls again to asked for a patient account number because otherwise they cannot help.

I just got the same thing, went to one of st luke's community emergency centers for a workers comp injury.  My job was supposed to pay the bill, maybe they haven't receieved it or something.  Still don't know why it just hung up when I answered-very annoying.

Yes, the callers are wanting you to verify personally identifiable information in order to be sure they're ACTUALLY SPEAKING with you, the patient, because they're paranoid of HIPAA violations.  They probably become agitated when you don't cooperate because they're young people who are just trying to do their job and can't understand why you won't cooperate.  The hangups are probably from a malfunctioning auto-dialer (I experience 6 weeks of such insanity with a medical supply company once).

i've gotten the call from st lukes asking to verify my personal information and had the person on the other line become very agitated when i refused to give him any information, and was unable to provide me with any detailed information to verify that he was who he said he was since doing so "could compromise my confidentiality" and therefore be a hippa violation.

I just received a call as well today and am VERY nervous about this.  They wanted my birthdate and I didn't provide anything, telling them that I didn't want to fall for any scam.

I received a call from 713-400-5750 where the woman, Keoshia, claimed to be from St. Luke's.  I was there a few months ago but they wanted me to verify my birthdate over the phone, and refused to give me any information proving they are from St. Luke's.

Got a call saying I had an account with St. Luke's hospital.  Wanted me to verify my birthdate over the phone.  I said no I am not going to do that and they hung up.

For me they were collecting a bill for St. Lukes, though I wasn't clear on whether or not they worked for them. That's St. Lukes Episcopal Hospital in Houston www.sleh.com

just got a call and when i answer i get the click of hang up. been trying to settle a bill for my father with st lukes.

i get the same call.  it calls my cell phone and hangs up right away.  it is probably st. luke's i was in the emergency room also.

they r hanging up
