Hi.  They are in Houston close to my job
They been call in me for a debt of 52 dollars from fitness connection
I cancel my account. A year a go.
And they started to call me a year later for those 52 dollars that I don't own.
I cancel they keep charging my account then I canceled my account they contact me a year later.
If a I don't pay they'll send my to court.
That's what she say.
Then I answer like this:
You and the court and your 52 dollars bill can go ahead and put it in your a**.

This is the EXACT same thing that happened to me... I'm so tired of this. This is the second time they do this except the first time I got charged A LOT more! So this time I thought it would be ok because I knew to send the letter and fax and nope I still got charged and sent to collections after I changed my debit card.

I've sat up a payment plan with fitness connection and then I get threatening phone calls from this number saying that I owe them 600 dollars(500 for my husband) and that they are going to sew me for the entire amount. I've talked to fitness connection and they say its fine. they tried to draft 150$ out of my account today but thank god that I switched banks since I gave them my card number. I need something to be done. ive tried to call back the number, no avail. I've also looked them up and they are NCS inc and they have another number that they call from 713-414-7700 which they don't answer either. I need help with my grievance.

I had an account with Fitness Connection also and called the corporate office, spoke to a lady that handles cancellation, faxed my cancellation letter to her. Spoke with her once it was received and she said she would cancel it 30 days after current payment due came out my acct. Payment came out and one year later i started getting collection calls... WHY???? It was disputed and removed from my credit report but Why does a person have to go through all that??? They are scammers and use this process as a way of taking advantage of consumers and it should be a crime.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

?is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
?refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
?asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
?exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

?Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.?Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
?Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
?Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

Debt Collector
Rebecca called from this number. She calls multiple times a week. I have instructed them to send me verification of debt in writing. She refuses to do so stating she has alrady done this before, I have informed her I never received this. When she verified my address she gave me the wrong address. I gave her the correct one. She had an additional number in it. I once again told her to send the verification. She once again refused to do so stating it had already been sent. Very rude. Very unprofessional. I will be reporting them for refusing to send something in writing. If this is honestly my debt I have no problem paying it, however I need proof it is mine. Who can I report them too?

EVERYONE realizes someone has to do the dirty job of collection... however Fitness connections is a joke. They misrepresent the service they will provide and then when you try to cancel they do not process thing correctly. Better Business Bureau and Attorney General and Anyone who can put pressure on them and anyone involved with them needs to step it up becuase they are not a reputable company.

Debt Collector
This guy is still at it under the name of Bruce Wagner now...  Directly from my FACEBOOK POST.~~~

You just never know what's gonna happen next !! Just found out the bill collector (Bruce Wagner) for FITNESS CONNECTION in Pasadena is RUDE and verbally abusive ! WOW un-FREAKIN'-believable!!
The minute I said "I cancelled my account 3 years ago" he started yelling "YOU NEED TO CALL ME BACK WHEN YOU SAY YOU WILL AND GET OFF YOUR A** AND PAY YOUR BILLS"
I hung up.
I bet that guy is a real joy to be around in person. pfft. and that he's creepy stalker single.
wow - just wow!
Called FC - she was very nice and said they have nothing to do with the collections agency - that even though I called to cancel the membership I still owe 95+ for not sending a CMRRR letter. that is just CRAP and good luck getting it - I'll just block his number.
but BEWARE at FC - they'll keep charging you as long as they can. they hit me for almost 6 months after I cancelled the membership. haha and now they want more?!! NOPE

He may be mouthy and rude, But I have 2000+ FB friends, and an internet radio show.  I can be MUCH louder than he can.
