yes, they found me through lending tree.  they did a GREAT job for me!

my credit is excellent, and i got GREAT rates from them on two separate re-fi's.

i actually did two properies with them, first i did a vacation property.  that was a nightmare, through no fault of theirs.  they stuck with us all the way.  we were all the way there with one bank, and they just refused to close the loan.  portfolio found another lender, honored the rate, and got the deal done.

so, when it came time to re-fi my primary residence, i used them again.  i got a 3.875% rate on a 30 year!

the guy who helped me there is sammy gaglani.

i honestly have nothing but good things to say about this company.  their fees are low.  they get you great rates.  they do what they say they will do, and they stick with you through thick and thin.

i highly recommend!

Received a call from this number. A woman answered asking for "Nargus." I told her she had the wrong number. She apologized and hung up.

Got a call from this number at 6:45 PM today. My number is on the DO NOT CALL list, so they are in violation. It is a Houston number, not sure what company or organization.

I just refinanced My Loan with this company. I was skeptical when I started the process but after working with them I found all the above things were untrue, they have excellent service, Best rates and fastest closing time. I closed my loan with Darren (*2467). I liked his service

The problem is that if they showed everybody a house they would spend 50 hrs a week showing people houses that can't get a loan. The would go out of business with the cost of gas, daycare etc... I do loans and 65% of the people that apply can't get a loan. Only a really unprofessional realtor would even think of bring an unapproved person into a home.  If you really wanted a house I would think you would have kept looking instead of stoping at one house.

Just to update you all on Profolio. I work there for the past 3 months and do not do business the way any of you describe. I do not harrass my customers. if you do not wish to apply, then I would not want to waste my time calling you when I could be calling someone who does want to do business. And they actually need help. I am here to help and I bend over backward for my customers, wether i am at Profolio or any other company I give the same diligent and dedicated service that you should expect. I may not always tell you what you want to hear, but I will always tell you the truth.(and I always return my calls.)

Also, Last year the company changed owners and is very tech heavy for faster service. They are under new management. With the forclosure crises, it weeded out many of the unscrupoulous character in the industry. Please trust that you as buyers are proteced by federal laws. Also, all the people named I have never even heard of them, so it's likly they are working for another company or not in the industry anymore at all.

This industry is changeing rapidly and I assure you that we follow all the rules and regulations.

I agree, they are definitely not following the rules.  I am surprised that they are even still in business and have not been shut down by the State of TX.

Yhese guys act smart. They put the reviews on this page on thier own with different name posing as satisfied borrowers. This is just to mislead us. This is a trap. Please think b4 u do act

Actually they are one of the best lenders who would give you what they promised, I was refinancing last summer and put my info down on lendingtree thing. I was called by Choice Mortgage and quicker loan, I decided to go ahead with quicker, untill I realized that I was scammed and they would not return my $500 for commitement fees. I was not ready to pursue this any more as I had percived that all the mortgage companies carried out their business in the same fashion. I got a call from profolio and this guy was an amazing proffesional, he told us that he wouldn't charge any commitment fee and we will not have to worry about any thing extra coming at the closing. I went ahead believing in him and I got exactly the same deal they promised, they were courteous

There is some guy called Martin, he ripped me off. he changed the deal so many times.

These folks have called me repeatedly for five months using bogus numbers to appear on caller ID...I filled out lending tree information had them send me an offer and now they wont go away no matter how I ask!  I have already got my loan and do not want to do business with them and never will because they harrass you!

i got so many calls from this company.. he was having a weird accent.......

Well, i do not who Sepp is but i was speaking with Charlee who gave me no closing cost deal with a rate of 6.5%...i did not go with them..

Just for your own information, the Houston Call Center of Profolio Home Mortgage was slashed by 50 percent on Tuesday. Any calls you get from this number will originate in Bombay India

People they are calling from Mumbai India. any positive post is coming from an Indian. If you are a consumer reading this run from them, trust me I know what this all about. they are not licensed. ask them for their Loan Officer Licence number. report them to your State report them to your bank. If you dont you will pay if not now later

I refinanced my home with Profolio last year.  Angel Rane helped me.  Everything went just fine.  I did it all through email and phone except closing, which happened at my house.  I'm refinancing again this year with the same company and agent because they have a great rate on a 15-yr.

I put in a Lending Tree application like the rest, months ago. Basically Profolio is a scam company working with Lending Tree that appears to be from Houston, sounds like India to me.  I was looking at buying a rental prop months and months ago, they called me then. I declined the deal.  Game over.  

Now they call fishing me for a 'refinance' on my own home and pretend I put an application in to do so. Do not deal with these guys or answer the phone for that matter. I would also advise not dealing with Lending Tree. I have tried them a couple times, I have high 700's/low 800's credit and I have never gotten a good deal or good information from them, or "Four Competing Offers" worth crap. It is just a website to collect leads for mortgage companies, nothing like what they imply in the ads. BEWARE.  Sounds too good to be true.... it is.

whatever anyone says, profolio home mortgage is the best in terms of offering the lowest interest rates. show me just one lender who is offering rates what this lender is giving to people.
A kind request to research before deciding on a faith of any company.

This company is owned by an outsourcing company in India. If you are talking to someone with an accent they are in India. They are not licensed and they way they get away with it is by having a licensed LO in houston, they call them a Mentor. I found this out the hard way. Ask to meet your LO at the Houston office and you will not be able to. They will lie and tell you they arent in but you can talk to Nettie. The president is now someone named Kirstan Swaminathan. That really sounds american doesnt it. He replaced the last president Baron when the parent company in India fired most of the American staff. Scams and lies. If you do your mortgage here you are supporting the unemployment of Americans. It is wrong what is happening there.

They aren't so nice & don't want to take no for an answer. They call 3 to 5 times per day even though I've told them to stop calling.

BTW ... NEVER USE LENDING TREE . COM under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!

This number has called me on average 10 time / day!  I have called back twice requesting them to stop calling but so far it has not worked.  They also leave "voicemails" but all it is is music.  I am going to pull my hair out if they don't stop!  Do not use Lending Tree, this is how they got my phone number.
