I got a call from this guy named Mike Andrews. he called my wife and states that there is a warrent out for my arrest. LOL so i called the state troopers in Texas and asked them to run my information to find out if i have a warrent out for my arrest. they told me that i didn't, and then i tried calling the number that was given to my wife. the phone dosen't ring it just clicks out kinda a strange if you ask me. but in the end truns out it is some person that is trying to scam you.

I got a call and messages at work from this 713-559-1757 number, sounds like an Indian guy with the name Peter Black, I never heard of an Indian with an american name like that, what a scam! the next time he calls me, I'm gonna let him have it!

Do you know where a person can submit complaints of SCAM Debt collector calls?  I continuously keep recieving calls at work from a guy (sounds indian) claiming I owe a debt and issues threats.  He called a few years ago and I had to have my attorney tell him not to call again.  Now he is calling again from different numbers. This is the number he left today (713-559-1757).  I have pulled up research online and found numerous complaints from people regarding the same thing.  How are people to protect themselves from these types of things.  If you have information on what a person should do please respond back.

Chances are he's out of the country, theres nothing that can be done. Just explain to your boss(es) that this is a scam to steal information from you and to hang up when they get these calls.


When you're on the line and they threaten you with the police, tell them to go ahead and send the police, you'll be more than happy to talk to them. They wont know what to do!


FYI: Owing a debt is a civil matter, not criminal and the police will not get involved. You can also tell them that, then politely tell them to have a nice day and hang up on them.

It's a guy (sounds Indian) that keeps calling my job saying I have to clear up some debt or he will send marshals and police out for me.  

How do you stop these calls.  Is there a government number or something.  I don't understand how people can do these type of things and get away with it!

Got a call from this number today.  States that you are under investigation and threatens lawsuits.  Another total SCAM.  This all started when we moved to Florida, I think it because our number shows up as a newly reqistered number ?  We didnt get these kinds of calls before and we lived there for 8 years.

This number keeps coming up saying they are a law firm and they are not i had to change my account number and checking account cause of this!! They call from different numbers and the guy that keeps calling me says his name is john harris so be aware they are scamming my work stopped them for me

These people are trying whatever tactic they can to get personal information. They dont have all of your social sercurity number just a portion so they hope to trick you into providing it to them. In regards to comments they continue to call once they find a person to harass, no matter what you say to them. They change their number, names and company names and continue to harass. I have reported them to the federal Trade Commission & FBI but they can still call freely and it does not matter if its your job, home or cell number. I hope soon the maddness will stop cause its been about 9 months for me and they still wont give up. It dosent bother me as much now because stupid apparently run large with these scammers. If they have the resources they state on the phone, threats and yelling would not be necessary.
