I'm getting these calls and I'm in the Houston area. They will not leave a message. I just blocked the number from my provider online.

Recieved 3 calls from this # within 3 min time. First 2 times it went to voicemail and said something about blocking calls from inmates. The third time I answered- prerecorded message played not even a full sentence and hung itself up.

My husband's cell phone received about 20+ calls from this number in a 15 min period.  Recording saying someone which sounds like "Chris" is trying to contact him via prepaid call from the Minnesota Correctional Facility.  I went online and blocked the number with our cell provider. The sketchy part is the same person has somehow found out my husband's Google number that he only uses for work and is continuing to call that number now.  Not sure what to do.

I also am receiving calls from this number.  I ignored the first call, but took the 2nd one, I mentioned that he had the wrong number and he said he was sorry.  That didn't stop the calls from coming in, so now I just ignore them.  It is however very annoying.

Repeated calls from this number, says it's the Minnesota Dept of Corrections with a prepaid call. Houston area code. Hung up on first call.

any of you who say this is a scam is not a smart person. just because you might have an line of work where this would be concerning... don't judge our family and friends. they made a mistake, and are paying the price. it does not mean they are scammers, (although some people in prison may be)
this is a mn prison, not necessarily any specific one though because my buddy has called from this number from rush city and again after he was transferred to moose lake.

Ps. there  is no way they can scam money from you unless you give it to them, and/or give your credit card/ bank info

First call I received on my new Tracfone.  When I answered recording said prepaid from MN correctional inst.  Hung up but have since recd 7/8 more calls.

I know a person in prison but they were moves for their protection but they won't tell me. even as a witness for my protection to keep tabs on him.He even called me from this number but I couldn't tell what the message said where it was from I recorded it. So I could try and call and find out when he was released like I did before but I couldn't make it out. where are they calling from? When he gets out he's coming for me. he let me know he knew where I was city and everything I've moved two states away!

I have received several calls from 713-574-1106 in the last few days. There is no way to make them stop. I am registering a complaint with the no call registry as I have been registered with them since they invented it. The link is https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2. PLEASE register a complaint if this is happening to you! I am going to block this number (as well as a flood of others in the last few days for 3 other #'s) with my phone carrier CenturyLink tonight. I found it under customer support and a search for complaint. GOOD LUCK!!

After reading all the posts, I figured out it was my ex in MN. He is incarcerated at a jail facility.

These calls are coming from a MN correctional facility. This is the number that the phone company uses for prepaid calls. They are contracted probably through a private phone company specific for correction outgoing calls.

I just got a call from 713-574-1106 and I believe he said randy, voice was low to hear and from Mooselake correctional facility here in Minnesota.  Even though Mooselake area code is 218.  Texas is 713.

I am getting unwanted calls from an inmate at Stillwater, MN.  He uses different phone #'s, but for example, 713-574-1101.

Can you please block all inmate calls to our cell phone?

I CALLED CONSCALLHOME TO BE RIPPED OFF BY $22.49 THEN REFERRED ME TO ANOTHER NUMBER.THEY CHARGED ME $25.00 FOR 100 MINUTES TO TALK TO MY FAMILY MEMBER.   .WELL,IT WAS TAKEN OUT OF MY CHECKING ACCOUNT THE SAME DAY...THEN I CALLED BACK LATER TO HEAR MY NAME WAS NOT ON THERE AND NEVER WAS!!!!  I TOLD HIM IT IS A FRAUD!!!! HE JUST YELLED LOUDER.  I HUNG UP!   I LOST $47.49 TO SCAM ARTISTS!   DO NOT TRUST THEM!

I got a collect call from this #. the name is unknown to me. I just hang up.
This has happened a few times now.
Don't know the # will not answer any more.

Cell phone list of missed calls shows several from 715-574-1106 in August & September 2012.  Time waster, potential scam, and apparently going on since 2004??  Seems phone company should be able to put a stop to this abuse immediately.

I do not want this number calling me as I don't know anyone in a correctional facility, so could you please block my number from future phone calls.

this is shakopee womens prison in shakopee mn. If your receiving a call, chances are an inmate is trying to call you with their calling card. I have a friend in there and didnt answer the first 3 times she tried calling me until I figured out it was my friend. So if you know someone in the womens prison....answer the call! life is depressing in there as it is, imagine your friend wanting/needing to talk to someone and getting hung up on! Just saying.....

You guys are just plain slow.  All calls from state prisons show up like that and if they hung up like that its probably because they realized they had the wrong number by your voice duhhhh it's not that easy remembering numbers when ur locked up

Finally gave in and accepted call. After I asked who "Roger" (the name recording was using) was he said 'oh I am sorry. I must have dialed the number wrong; I;m trying to get ahold of my sister in Clarissa (MN).' When I mentioned I'd try to contact her for him he said ' that is alright, I will try her again myself.'  Call Ended...now I am here typing. duh! Now my suggestion if you get a call from this number/people would be to 1) Hang-Up don't even answer the call 2) If you did accept the "prepaid call" then maybe you should call your own phone company about what happened.  That is my next6 step - tomorrow as our Office is closed for tonight.  :(   ron  (5/7/2012 8:30 PM)

I have received 2 calls as of today.....I'm glad to have read this, it's very disturbing! it comes up as Houston TX.

this number is a legit number that shows up when someone from dept of corrections in minnesota calls i know becausse every time my ex called this number showed up
