Debt Collector
I got a call from them also, the woman that left the message on my cell phone, stumbled through her rehearsed script.  They said to contact a man Mr. Pino or something and then gave a toll free number. I've dealt with plenty of attorney's in the past & their law offices & never had a message left like this one! As with all debt collectors I just ignore it. I've worked in several departments in banking for a combined total of 5yrs. its just another tactic to collect on a debt they have purchased. They figure bc they say law office or attorney that they'll get more paid claims knowing the consumer may not be knowledgeable about the legal consequences of unpaid UNSECURED debt. Your credit is already tainted & your credit score "afico" Truth is that it is unsecured so it is not secured like a car loan (and they repo ur car), a home (they foreclose on it.  UNSECURED debt, typically credit cards, lines of credit they cant repo the groceries or cup of coffee u bought with funds using a credit card or cash from line of credit (not attached to ur home or any collateral). if they could they would have & u would have received notorized letters, sometimes with phone calls from the BANK that will be left holding the preverbial "bag"! or your car disappears in the middle of the night or from work (like the show "Operation Repo"). So keep hanging up, try taking your phone number off the list again,  you can try & play along to get the amount & who to write it out too, figure out who the credit card company is, call them find out who they sold the debt to, & when they call again quickly tell them to stop or you'll sue. Report them to the Better Business Bureau  The only other option is ignore till they stop ( don't pick up at all) or pay the debt! Good Luck

This train wreck of a Collect America (CACV & CACH) franchise keeps on despite the constant revolving door of attorneys willing to lend their licenses to owner James O. Wooley in exchange for a piece of the action. In the past few years, we have counted six attorneys involved with this organization, none of which has ever made it successfully. Owner Jim Wooley has a reputation for being a tyrant and a boozer, based on information from employees who have worked there. Female employees may be uncomfortable in his presence based on assertions that he may run his mouth in the wrong direction.

Like most junk debt collectors, this franchise is geared at taking as much money from the consumer as possible, with the least amount of resistance. The previous attorneys who allowed their law licenses to be used as a pretense to collect purchased debts had little or no litigation experience. The same can be said for the present license holder, who I am sure will not be there this time next year. If debt collectors are contacting you in or out of Texas as the ?Law Office of Richard E. Clark? be prepared for threats, lies, harassment, and other violations of state and federal law. They have always acted this way in the past and Clark?s name on the door is no reason to think that Wooley has changed the way he allows his debt collectors to operate.

Law office of Richard Clark It is a Collection company that is posing as a Law office.
Got a call from them wanting payment on a credit card I had never had. They only had my name no other information. I ask for Proof of debt, they then got rude. I told them to furnish proof that I owed it and for them to mail it to me. They needed an address for that. I told them if I owed them money then they should have all my information that nothing had changed in the last 15 years. The guy got real rude and  starting making threats. I told him I had a enough of his B.S. and hung up.  They call once a day, answering machine answer's but no message left.

It is a law office of Richard Clark. I recommend you goggle Law office of Richard Clark and read peoples post.  This is a firm trying to collect of REALLY old debts. From reading the post these people are rude and annoying. I have rec'd a lot of calls from the number and I just keep hanging up on them.  I understand that if you ask for a verification of debt they get real upset and hang up on you.  They have no way to prove that is your debt.  This is only what I have read.  I have not talked to them because I prefer just to ignore the calls.

This was a call from a law firm looking for my ex-boyfriend who I haven't spoken to in a year.  They wouldn't tell me how they got my number or what it was concerning.  We never shared a cell phone account.
